perfume. You don't need much of it as it's very strong. The scent is very sophisticated and feminine. Out of the ingredients listed, I mostly smell the vanilla. I'd say it's the primary smell.

Only thing I wouldn't recommend is putting this on before sleeping. As it's so strong it once made me feel chest sick. Unique, sophisticated scent, lasts most of the day, feminine. Not for those with a sensitive nose/tummy - might cause chest sickness.
