the lens? This is the lens that came with the camera. This camera has worked for maybe 50 shots for me and now it's a brick. Sony will not do anything to repair or replace this camera for me. What a shame.

Stay far away from these alpha cameras they are trash.

1 star. Absolutely disgusted with PlayStation support. My 5 year old son made around $75 worth of unauthorised Minecraft purchases on my PS5 account… Read more

and Sony refused to help at all.

I’ve been a loyal PlayStation customer since the PS1 — over 20 years supporting this company, buying consoles, games and subscriptions — and this is the first time I have EVER asked for any kind of reimbursement or support with accidental purchases.

Instead of showing any goodwill or understanding toward a long-time customer and a genuine mistake involving a child, they hid behind policy and offered nothing.

Very disappointing customer service and a terrible way to treat loyal customers. Makes me seriously reconsider continuing with PlayStation in the future.

regularly shuts down for no apparent reason and lately we have been getting the white screen of death, which is sometimes hard to come back from. According to Google, Sony Bravia TVs have a life expectancy of 6-7 years which is pretty bad for something with no moving parts - but ours won’t even make that. Sony used to be a top brand but now cheap and rubbishy.

Good Value – THE GOOD: This set is great value for money if you are looking for a medium sized screen. Picture quality is great. Remote is clearly marked and… Read more

reasonably easy to navigate. Standby power consumption is minute, half a watt from memory. THE NOT SO GOOD: Sound quality is barely "OK", because it lacks even a simplistic graphic equaliser, so it isn't possible to boost treble, which is a requirement for those of us with any form of hearing loss. (a very significant percentage of the population) It is also NOT able to provide any sound output to an external device, such as bluetooth hearing aids/ headphones, while at the same time having sound from the internal speakers. This is a necessary feature for any audience with a mix of hearing impaired and not hearing impaired. It lacks an RF OUT port (Antenna out) for looping from antenna to TV to PVR.

Summary: (3.5*) It deserves more than 3 stars, but not four stars due to the lack of features on the audio side. With an ageing population, many of whom have or will suffer hearing loss, a lot more thought should have gone into more flexibility/control over sound outputs and frequency band control (graphic equaliser) If the sound issues were sorted out, this would be a five star product.

I bought this set of Sony WH1000XM5 over-ear headphones some 3½ years ago for use with my iPad. Apart from the lack of documentation in the box I… Read more

managed to get them bluetoothed to the ipad and found them comfortable and easy to use with good sound quality and really excellent active noise suppression. Now, out of warranty, is the issue: I picked them up to use and the left hand earpiece literally fell off, connected only by the internal wiring in the frame. The plastic frame has just broken leaving the earpiece dangling. If these were a cheapo set from Coles I would just chuck them but at $540 they are an expensive purchase and with my careful handling, nerver-been-sat-on and used only by myself I find it disappointing that the flimsy frame gave way so soon. Verdict: good performance, but very limited lifetime.

Title: Extremely Disappointed – Sony Refusing to Honour Warranty & Incorrectly Claiming “Intentional Damage” I am extremely disappointed with Sony’s… Read more

warranty support. My Sony TV, purchased in December 2023, developed a **major internal screen failure** during normal household use. The screen suddenly showed internal cracks and lines with no impact, no misuse, and no external damage.

Despite providing clear photos showing an **internal panel failure**, Sony refused to honour the warranty and claimed the damage was “intentional.” This accusation is completely incorrect and was made **without any evidence**. Sony has not explained how they reached this conclusion or provided any technical assessment to support it.

Under **Australian Consumer Law**, a TV must be of acceptable quality and last a reasonable amount of time. A premium Sony TV failing this quickly is unacceptable, and refusing a remedy by blaming the customer is even worse.

I expected better from a brand like Sony. Their refusal to honour a legitimate warranty claim and their unsupported allegation of intentional damage has left me with a faulty TV and no resolution.

I have now escalated the matter to **Consumer Affairs Victoria** and will continue pursuing my rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Very disappointing experience from a company I trusted.

Using the Sony WH-1000XM6 has felt like stepping into a quieter, more comfortable world whenever I need it. From the moment I first put them on, the… Read more

softness of the ear cushions stood out and the clamping force felt just right, firm enough to stay secure but gentle enough for long sessions. I quickly noticed how light they feel compared to earlier versions, which made a big difference during long work days and flights.

The noise cancellation impressed me the most. It cuts out low rumbles and background chatter so effectively that I often forget where I am, and the adaptive system adjusts smoothly without me having to think about it. Voices still slip through a little when I am in very loud places, but the overall effect is incredibly calming. The sound quality is full and rich with a clean separation between instruments, and the bass has a satisfying depth without overwhelming the mids. Whether I was listening to music, watching movies, or taking calls, everything came through with clarity.

Using the gesture controls took a little getting used to, but once I settled into the motions they felt natural. The quick attention feature, where covering an ear cup lowers the volume instantly, became one of the things I relied on most in daily life. Battery life has been strong and consistent, lasting me several days of mixed use before I even think about charging.

Call quality is better than I expected, especially in quiet environments, though windy areas can still cause slight issues. Still, conversations generally sounded crisp and natural. Switching between devices also works smoothly, which makes it easy to move from my laptop to my phone without interruption.

Overall, my experience with the WH-1000XM6 has been one of effortless comfort and reliable performance. They create a sense of calm whether I am traveling, working, or relaxing, and each feature feels refined rather than gimmicky. It is the kind of device that fades into the background and simply makes daily life a little better.

Using the PlayStation 4 has been a steady mix of nostalgia, comfort, and pure entertainment. From the first time I powered it on, the interface felt… Read more

simple and familiar, and the setup process took only a few minutes before I was exploring the menu and downloading games. Even though newer consoles exist, the PS4 still holds up incredibly well in everyday use.

What stands out most is how consistent the performance feels. Games load quickly enough, the visuals still look impressive on a modern TV, and the system rarely gives me any trouble. Whether I was playing story driven adventures, action packed shooters, or casual indie titles, the console delivered smooth gameplay that made it easy to get lost in whatever world I was exploring. The library of games is massive, and having access to so many classics makes the console feel as if it always has something new to offer.

The DualShock 4 controller has been another highlight. It fits comfortably in my hands, the buttons feel responsive, and the touchpad, while not used in every game, adds a fun extra element when it does come into play. The light bar can be a little bright in a dark room, but it never became a serious distraction. Battery life is decent, though I found myself charging it more often than expected during long sessions.

Social features are easy to use. Sharing screenshots and clips takes only a tap, and online play stays stable as long as the internet connection holds up. The fan can get loud during demanding games, but keeping the console clean and well ventilated helps keep the noise under control.

Overall, my experience with the PlayStation 4 has been consistently enjoyable. It is a console that balances simplicity and power with a huge library of great games, and even after years on the market, it still feels reliable and fun to use. It is the kind of system that makes gaming feel effortless and inviting, whether I am diving into a long campaign or relaxing with something casual after a long day.

and they block out enough noise (for the price) and movies and music sounds on point. They were a little troublesome connecting to Apple devices and I was forced to download the Sony app to make them connect, which I was hesitant to do after once owning a Sony DSLR that required an app which was terrible. But this app was easier to use. Wireless range is good - my kid can be at one end of the house with these headphones on while his mobile device is at the other end and he has no worries.

poor with no case included. But at 26 dollar i cant complain. Now, taking about sound quality, the device i use is LG V50+, which is the best sound quality phone money can buy. Although this headphone is only 24ohm my LG has to increase gain to 70 to show any details in the songs i normally listen to. The pitch is leaking, bass is distorted well lets just say for 26dollar it is average, i would go get a pair of smiling jamaica from marley for this price. If you got it with full price at 46 then its a no no, because a pair of koss porta pro will destroy this in every category. All and all, not something I can recommend.

Extremely Disappointing – Avoid These WF-1000XM4 Earbuds Used relatively lightly over the past couple of years, these earbuds have now become… Read more

plagued with issues and are basically unusable. The right earbud barely lasts 20 minutes, and the left only slightly longer.

Sony’s response has been extremely disappointing — they want to charge $167.40 just to inspect the fault, with parts (likely the batteries) costing extra. That means a total repair could easily exceed $200, despite this being a well-documented and widespread defect. A quick search online shows countless users reporting the same problem, yet Sony refuses to acknowledge or address it properly.

It’s clear they’re aware of the issue but would rather push customers toward buying the newer WF-1000XM5s instead. These WF-1000XM4s have turned into nothing more than an expensive paperweight.

Verdict: Pathetic reliability for a so-called “premium” product. I’ll never buy Sony earbuds again — and I strongly recommend others think twice before doing so.
