that the company is now trading again but refuses to honour any existing gift cards or store credits — even ones still within their valid dates.

From a customer perspective, this feels like a scam. They’re happy to take new customers’ money but won’t take responsibility for money already paid. The brand may be back, but don't trust it. Everything seems overpriced now anyways.

I wouldn’t recommend buying anything from SurfStitch, especially gift cards if they offer them.

As usual the small person pays while legal crooks get paid.
