openings as well as in a standard doorway and hallway. We actually have 3 of these gates and extra extenders to ensure we could keep the kids contained to their bedrooms and the main living area. They are strong enough that the kids can hang on them without risk of them opening or coming away from the doorway. We thoroughly recommend these gates. Everything about them is fantastic - easy to clean, erect, keep in place, lock (when required), operate, they're light weight, taller than others, handles wider openings. Can't think of any.
