Wahl Single Speed Clipper KM-SS
Not worth a darn – I'm so upset I bought these. I have a 1 kilogram (yep only 1) with only medium length straight fine hair and the clip with ridiculous. It barely cut, and got too hot to use before I was halfway done.... 1 kilo. What a waste of money.

Really good result. Combs easy to change over. Clippers light & easy to use. I personally wouldn’t attempt to use clippers on very long coat. Would scissor clip first to reasonable length.
No customer care whatsoever. I live in Sydney and, finally, emailed the U.S but had no reply, none!

clip on mechanism is constantly snapping off and then can’t be used. I’ve now spent more than the price of the new trimmer replacing the heads and will never buy a wahl clipper again. The last head snapped off after the 4th time taking it off to clean. I showed the staff at shaver shop who acknowledged there had been some bad batches but still had to pay. In my opinion the head they sell as the primary one for the product should have a longer warranty than 3 months.
It’s a shame because it does exactly what I want, doesn’t overheat and trims very well. But the quality of their products are horrible.
Poor quality & 0/10 for customer service – 3 months use and the sheath snapped. Total design fail. Email help line, no response at all. Been using cheaper croppers for 25 years and the competitor products lasted years

documentation. The part numbers on possible blades advertised on-line don't say they are compatible with Figura e.g. the 1854-7825. Most troubling of all, Wahl Website doesn't have the detail of what blades fit this product and their 'Contact us' and FAQ links on website don't go anywhere so there is no way to ask them. They also don't sell these items direct. Seems like this Company doesn't care about Customer support or meeting its aftermarket obligations.

Australia. I purchased a Wahl trimmer on 18 June 2024 for nearly $200, trusting their so-called “premium” brand reputation. Shockingly, it completely stopped working just 14 months later, barely two months after the warranty expired.
At first, I thought it might be a charging issue, but it only runs (very weakly) when plugged directly into the cord. In other words, it’s useless.
When I contacted Wahl, their response was pathetic. Instead of standing behind their product, they hid behind the expired warranty and offered a paid repair service, starting at $22 + GST plus extra charges for parts and freight, or “free destruction” of my trimmer if I refused the quote. That’s their idea of customer care for a $200 product that fails just after warranty?
Ironically, I have local brand trimmers that cost only $20–$30 each and have lasted 4–5 years without any issue. Meanwhile, Wahl’s “premium” trimmer died in just over a year. That’s the true measure of their quality.
Wahl Australia clearly doesn’t respect customers or consumer law. They charge premium prices for disposable-quality products and hide behind fine print when things go wrong. Absolutely disgraceful experience — never again.

is starting to grow in his adult coat, and they are perfect to use on breeds such as the Bichon Frise which has the thick, dense, curly coat!
What I love most about this particular clipper is that you can use with the cord attached or cordless.
These clippers are light, easy to hold, and are a little more narrow compared to some other clippers on the market, which is great if you have a small dog like the Bichon Frise, and powerful to get through a thick curly coated breed.
The clippers don't get hot either.
Just make sure that you have brushed and combed out every little knot or tangle before attempting to start using the clippers!!
I found out about these watching a professional dog grooming video on YouTube, and the groomer was using these Wahl Bravura lithium cordless clippers on an adult Bichon Frise dog.
You can find the grooming demo on YouTube by Wahl Professional Dog Grooming under the heading: Grooming Guide - Bichon Frisé Show or Competition Trim - Pro Groomer.
A must watch to learn how to use these clippers if you are inexperienced or a novice home groomer.
I purchased my set of Wahl Bravura lithium cordless clippers online at Pet Network, Australia.
But you can also purchase them from places like Clipper World Australia and other online grooming supply stores in Australia.
Highly Recommended.

machine. This was one on the most painful experiences of my life , it was all that I could do to try and turn the machine off to stop the pain . It dosnt matter what size foot you have it is too painful for anyone to use , defiantly not what it is advertised to be. do not buy or use this machine just get someone to drive over your foot , it feels about the same . I will try and get a refund from shaver shop , if they dont offer then ACCC will be sure to get a letter from me. This is a dangerous machine dont use it.

became loose. I ended up cutting someone’s hair shorter than they wanted. It’s supposed to be one of their top tier home hair clipper product but failed very quickly!
I went back to the Shaver Shop and replaced it with the Wahl Cordless Color Pro Hair Clipper.
I never had a cordless clipper before and it proved to be very easy to use. It’s so quiet and sharp that you don’t even really hear the hair getting cut - you’ll just find the hair piling up on the floor. Even my wife who’s never cut our kids hair found it very easy to use. She thought the Color coded hair combs makes hair cutting easier for beginners.
The kids had fun and they picked the color (length) they wanted.
The battery charges quickly and did three haircuts in one charge - it says a full charge last for 90mins.
I hardly recommend the Wahl Cordless Color pro clippers to intermediate or beginners users.
I also purchased the Wahl 5 Star Detailer and together produces awesome results.

Very poorly made – This product was cheap, around $20 but it failed completely after 5 weeks. It was poorly made and flimsy. The cutter head fitted poorly and kept falling of. Really, just a piece of junk.

bought a Color PRO - At this point I will give a warning: The Color PRO is NOT a professional model it is just a cordless domestic model. The slightest pressure on the power switch when running would pause the clipper resulting in dragging the no longer running clipper through your hair (Ouch).
So the salesperson at the ShaverShop talked me into buying a Wahl Professional model (and then said the sale price no longer applied so I ended up buying elsewhere!)
The first thing about the professional model is it is so quiet - especially compared to the old corded model and even to my (thankfully) brief experience with the Color Pro
The second thing is the <some fancy named metal> used for the clipper blades does make a difference. There is noticeably less pulling of the hair and it seems to leave a more even cut.
So far very happy with the upgrade

initial despite using it every 2-3 days. Comes with 4 different guide combs including one which is adjustable. 3 diff trimmers for more fine or closer shave. $30 pair of Remington clippers and there really is no comparison. The Wahl feels solid and durable, the action is so smooth and the number ½ clipper gives me a really close haircut. Easy enough to use by myself in front of the mirror too. They are made in America and really feel so much better quality than the Chinese clippers I’ve used in the past.
The extra money was well spent and I can 100% recommend these clippers.
Look again – Groomed our Moodle four times and now will not cut her hair has been cleaned after every uses gutters don’t seem to last
Very flimsy, broke after 3 uses – Clipper is very flimsy. A key selling feature of the clipper is that the "clipper blades can be easily detached from the clipper". However while trying to remove the blades, the plastic nooks broke! I wasn't even using any strength.
