IT TOOK ME FORCIBLY PLUCKING EACH HAIR OUT BY HAND AND USING A DERMAPLANING RASOR TO GET THIS GODDAWFUL PRODUCT OUT OF MY UNSUSPECTING BUSH. She’s a lady, she did not deserve this DESECRATION.. the one patch of which any hair was removed, it still only snapped the hairs. I fear the plague of ingrown hairs coming for me. TAKE MY WARNING ⚠️ DO NOT PURCHASE OR USE THIS PRODUCT EVEN IF IT IS THE LAST ITEM ON EARTH. I WOULD EATHER PLUCK MY HAIRS OUT INDIVIDUALLY. THE ONLY ACCEPTABLE USE FOR THIS TERROR OF A WAX TUB IS FOR YOUR CHEATING EX AND EVEN THEN ITS STILL A BIT HARSH.
Waxaway Ready to Use Wax Strips
Appalling product. Do not buy. Wax stays on skin when you pull the strip and no hair comes out. It leaves a mess on your skin that takes great effort… Read more
to get off. Had to use oil to get wax off. Not water soluble. Very sticky. Damaged my skin, left bruises. Retailers should refuse to stock it. Do Not Buy.
This item does not work! – It does not actually wax facial hair off!! I regretted very much buying this item, after first use, whereby I followed all instructions. There were… Read more
no hairs on the wax strips, and all that remained were sticky fingers and sticky face!!!! What a waste of my $!
Finally! A product that delivers – I've been using hot wax products for a number of years now (the microwave kind) for my underarms, with mixed results - sometimes the wax is just a… Read more
little too hot, it doesn't take much to burn your skin even if you are very careful. However I found it was better than the cold wax strips - they just tear at my skin and leave a lot of hair behind.
I finally had enough and invested in this hot wax heater. It is just a heater so you need to buy wax to go with it - I got the same brand to be sure it would work, and it did. However it doesn't come with an applicator so just be aware you need to buy something to apply it. I ended up using a basic wooden popstick - it was fine (next time I'll go to a craft store & buy something a little wider, like a tongue depressor). There was no issue with sticky residue so I didn't need to use any oil afterwards. All I did was clean my armpits beforehand and apply baby powder before I started waxing.
This system is designed so you can put the wax in the microwave to soften it, then you put the softened wax in the heater to keep it at an even temperature. So it doesn't take forever to get it at the right consistency (as with some products where you have to heat the pot of wax only in the heater, and it takes up to an hour). It took a lot longer than the instructions (1 minute) to soften the wax in the microwave but it was worth it. Once it went soft I put it in the heater and it was just fine. I can't recall how many extra 30 second bursts it required but it was several. Maybe a few minutes in total.
As with anything like this you need to follow the instructions. I did, and found that the experience was a lot less painful than even a professional salon hot wax treatment. The wax was at the perfect temperature to do the job well. As with any waxing you may need to repeat the process to remove stubborn hair - in this case my skin was unharmed from the first attempt so when I went over the same area again, it didn't even hurt. And I used far less wax than normal. Success!
I wish I had discovered this product a long time ago. I got it from Priceline on sale for $58.39 and the wax was $16.79.
This product is beyond useless - simply can’t believe it’s actually on shelves! I’ve been a self-waxer for 20 years so I know a good product - this… Read more
is not. The product has a wet/soggy feel on the skin and doesn’t come away from the skin easily leaving almost half of the applied product remaining on the skin. Wish I had checked reviews prior to purchase, seems I’m not the only one with this experience.
