as the rest of the BBQ has given me fantastic value over the 6 years we have owned it. The cook box, lid and burners are still in fantastic condition. Without a doubt it’s the best bbq I have ever owned. I did replace the griddle once as they started to rust. The rust may have been my fault in the way I was cleaning it. It is a shame webers frames are not as sturdy as they rest of the bbq as being plastic they are a real melting point. Sadly the BBQ is not worth fixing as the plastic frame components are 220 delivered. A new Weber q 2000 starts at $529. 6 years has been a decent life I guess I acknowledge the fat fire is my responsibility but it shouldn’t melt that quick.

I recently purchased a Weber Genesis EP-335 from the Weber Moore Park SupaCenta store and wanted to share an honest account of my experience. … Read more
Firstly, the sales service was good. When my wife and I visited on 12 November, the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us confidence in the product. The store layout is great with a wide range of BBQs well displayed, and our initial interaction left us with a really positive impression of Weber.
I was originally told the store would price match, but when I returned on 28 November with a verified 15% offer from another Weber store, I was suddenly told they only match up to 10%. This inconsistency was disappointing and felt like a step back from the professionalism shown earlier.
Then, while free delivery was offered, I was told it wouldn’t be available for more than two weeks. Needing the BBQ sooner, I had to transport it myself, including removing and reinstalling child seats and wrestling a very heavy box (60-80kg) out of the car and into my backyard.
On emptying the box I spent hours trying to locate the bolts/screws to enable assembly. Weber Customer Support were terrific and make sure that I was supported. I have to take my hat off to the Weber Customer Support function who went above and beyond.
The Weber Genesis EP-335 is not an easy BBQ to assemble, so if you don't use the Weber service to assemble it for you, be prepared to spend a significant amount of time doing it yourself.

cover. The electrical part was always stored inside. As we have not used it all winter,we wanted to clean it up:to our surprise and disappointment it had developped a lot of rust.It is for outdoors,is it not? We started to pull it apart, the further we got the more rust we recovered:very, very frustating... When we bought it,we asked especially,if there could be a problem with the position of our balcony, facing East and maybe some 700 km's away from the beach:'No problem' was the answer. Anyway,we are not happy at all,Weber!

alignment where joins needed to be forced. Then first use starter issues, Weber were good to post new starter unit without question possibly they knew this to be a design fault. On this subject the gas bottle sits on the axle so you can never get a proper reading of how much gas is left on the weigh scale. Weber has obviously done a lot of cost cutting as they have discontinued the grill thermometer. The most annoying thing are the wheels after moving it one metre the split pin falls of as does the plastic wheel cover, I took to it with a hammer tonight. As for heat do not cook on two burners you will have uncooked meats and uneven cooking you have to use all three burners even for small quantities. Overall this is the Jeep of BBQs you are buying a name no longer synonymous with quality. The model is built in China which might explain poor quality control.

assembly instructions before starting, you are likely to end up with a panel left over. This is packed separately, with a loose "Addendum" which is NOT referenced in the instruction manual. It seems to be a heat shield, and important from a safety perspective, but if you miss it at Step 2, you are going to be up for some very frustrating disassembly to put this panel in place. In use, the product does not get hot enough to cook steak properly. It is also sold as a 2 burner BBQ but you cannot have two different heat zones on the cooking surface due to the weird burner configuration. As an oven it works pretty well, but comes without a temperature gauge. For your average Aussie barbie it is a dud!!

easy and took around 30-45 minutes from start to finish on my own. Burn-in/seasoning was super simple and the first cook of a pork scotch roast went smoothly with the smoker pre-heating surprisingly fast then kept accurate temps for the entire cook (verified with an inkbird grill temp probe) and ended up with a great bark, deep smoke ring and it tasted amazing. Pellet use was also really good, I filled the hopper with a bag of Weber pellets and after the burn-in and 9 hour smoking session the hopper was still 3/4 full.
The app setup and connection to the Smoque is easy and once it was connected to the internet it downloaded and installed a firmware update. The app is easy to use to set temps and the workflow for the recipes is a really nice feature.
I also ordered a cover for it from Weber on a Saturday and it turned up to my place in regional Victoria on Monday morning so they really seem to be on the ball with customer service.
Great BBQ, heats quickly, easy to clean, but stupid Weber Crafted frame (It's a marketing gimmick for more $$$) – New BBQ that I've used it twice so far. Really happy that it heats really quickly, is very easy to clean compared to prior gas BBQ's I've owned, has… Read more
the gas bottle inside the cabinet, and has extra storage space with a 3rd door cabinet on the LHS. It also comes with a couple of accessories including the Weber Crafted frame and a hot plate in addition to a full set of cast iron grates across the 4 burners. My dislike is the Weber Crafted system. This is definitely a marketing gimmick. The hotplate won't sit across the grill without sitting on the Weber Crafted frame, as the hotplate is too short. (It's made for the frame). And if you purchase the Weber Crafted Dual Sided Sear Grate (as I did), then you cannot use the Dual sided Sear Grate on one side AND the hotplate on the other as you need two Weber Crafted frames. That's another $140 AUD to purchase a second frame just to use a hotplate and sear grate at the same time. Why Weber didn't just make the hotplate and sear grate long enough to fit the firebox without this Weber Crafted frame is beyond me. Just to make more $$$ in my opinion. (Note: the standard cast iron grill grates that come with the BBQ fit the firebox of the BBQ without the use of the Weber Crafted frame). But with all of that said, I am very happy with the BBQ itself and will get used to swapping bits in and out as I use the standard grates, then need to insert the Weber Crafted frame to use the hotplate or sear grate. Or I'm buying ANOTHER Weber Crafted frame to use both at the same time! I hope this helps other potential purchasers.

reflective liner inside the lid, and so do the cheaper Ninja electric BBQs.
Without the liner a lot of heat is lost through the lid, wasting electricity. Lid will also become hotter and would be more difficult to clean because there are plenty of nuts and bolts for grease to get trapped around. The smooth liner would be a lot easier to keep clean.
Very disappointing to see Weber sending an inferior version of their Lumin to Australia compared to other markets.
Photos attached of the Aussie version I bought vs the overseas model. Local Weber website misleading by not making a photo of the Lumin with an open lid prominent.

failsafe. Yeh, I’ve heard that before. My research kept coming back to this BBQ, so bought it, the mid sized 47cm version. Best decision I have made! This thing is amazing! Two cooking shelves, real strong smokey flavour which i like, (depending on your smokey wood preference which is adjustable), Set and forget, best Brisket ever! Simple and easy to use, utilising the same BBQ Bricketts, in the "Mignon Method, two circular rows of Bricketts and the hot chimney coals in the middle. Temperature is consistant at approx. 205-215 degrees (6-7hours), smoking with up to 4 lumps of wood (2 hours), then continue for a further 6 to 8hrs. Wow, what we have eaten out of this SMC is simply amazing! This BBQ is easy to keep clean due to its enamel coating, empty the ash and thats it! Love it’s simplicity and reliability! I use it on a regular basis, at least once per month. I have cooked all types of meats in my WSM, without a hitch. I have two other Weber Charcoal BBQ's.

following; 1. It’s very easy to put together but due to its size is probably safer as a two person job. 2. Is a lot noisier than I thought it would be, due to the heavy duty fan unit used to fuel the fire with air. 3. Can reach a top temp of 315 Celsius in around 15 minutes, and 4. I was surprised at how quickly it burns through a 9kg bag of pellets. Roughly 8 hours cooking time at top temp.
The cooking results in my opinion are amazing and the smoke flavour takes most things to a next level. I have used it as low at 110 Celsius for low and slow pulled pork and as high as 315 Celsius to sear a steak.
Easy clean up with a great fat and ash tray.
I would highly recommend this BBQ to all comers and I think for the extra $500 the EX6 is worth getting over the EX4.

Online for our BNB we have had nothing but problems with constant complaints about the lack of heat from the flame, we have been in contact with Weber and received instructions in regards to the gas safety system reset procedure which we go through with every person that uses the BBQ, ultimately most just give up and use the electric stove inside the property. When the service technician visited the property he said the unit was working as designed and that we should get in touch with Weber to organise another model that is less fickle and more reliable of which I've done, I would say if you have a BNB or a rental unit and you are thinking of buying this BBQ think again, it is truly a pain.
I have received correspondence from customer service they have organised another service call to replace the faulty parts, another 7-10 days before they can look at the problem, so where does that leave my guests with no BBQ that's where, I find this totally unacceptable so to look after my guests and prevent a poor review on my BNB I've purchased a new BBQ all good just another $523 to Weber for there Baby Q BBQ which when tested has no trouble with the new type gas bottles.
14th Jan 2026 Final update to the story and Nicholas from customer service writes and I quote '' after reviewing your case we believe your 17'' Slate Griddle unit is not faulty and is functioning as designed '' and of course they blame the gas bottle not being a stable source of gas delivery, they go on to tell me that if I used the small propane canister my issue would be resolved, they did also offer me a credit or have the service technician try to repair the non faulty unit, having already bought another BBQ from another Weber supplier a credit would be of no use to me so I chose the repair and guess what the regulator and hose were changed out with the canister option removed at my request and the problem has disappeared, no issues with the very same gas bottle that was supposed to be the problem, even had enough heat to be able to turn the flame down, thanks to the service technician for repairing my non faulty functioning to design BBQ we can actually cook again.

beauty, that's what I need! BIG MISTAKE!! Upon Pulling this cart, an adult human must be bent over at at all times by 65-80 degrees while walking to the beach. Why you ask? Because if I stand up vertically like a human would to walk normally, the degree of the cart increases causing the lid to fall open, grills to fall out and the FAT tray to go everywhere. Did an adult even do quality checks or research on this product? I see now why the videos showing this product DOES NOT show a person standing in full view, you only see the cart wheeling. Now I understand and think it is false advertising to the MAX! I do not recommend anyone to buy this product.

regularly. But I’ve had it for a few years so it is overdue for a clean. I saw this Webber cleaning tool and I thought $12 for a bit of plastic. Well, I was totally wrong. It has done an amazing job getting rid of all the Bits & pieces that accumulate in the bottom of the Weber. Also it was relatively easy and I’m nearly 75 so anyone can do it. Within about 15 minutes all the rubbish is gone from the bottom of my Webber and it’s now ready for me to give it a spray with another product I’m trying which is Seley’s barbecue Cleaner. Absolutely recommend you spend the money if you want to clean your barbecue easily, because even if I didn’t go any further I’d still be very happy with it. Except I’ve decided to replace a couple of things. The gas burner and the griddle plate although the plate didn’t have to be replaced. I just thought it would seem like a new Weber then.
