started peeling.... this is an absolute joke, yes it's money wasted but I am more p*ssed about the time spent doing it and most of all having to painfully peel all the leftover paint off aroung the pool area because we cant use chemicals or bring sanding machines in.. DON'T BUY THIS TRASH, AND A BIG SCREW U TO BUNNINGS FOR RECOMMENDING IT!!

Great paint – I’ve been using white knight enamels for years in a variety of applications. Epoxy enamel is awesome. I just finished the tray on my hilux with Cold… Read more

Gal, True Bite primer and epoxy enamel. I thinned with penetrol. Awesome. Tough as nails and great way to keep rust at bay. Forget the negativity here. They obviously don’t know how to paint. Most of your work should be in preparation of the surface, and sanding and cleaning between each coat. That way you’ll get good results. If you don’t the paint will peel and doesn’t matter what paint you use.

100% would not recommend these products in water based if you want to paint a metal bannister, have a 10m metal bannister, followed all instructions and still rust comes through and they dont want to acknowledge it sounds like a product fail

Stuff never dries. 3 days with a light coat and still imprints. Avoid at all costs. I have contacted the company to let them know

Heartbreaking – I am beyond upset. How dare this product be sold. The benches and everything looked beautiful until I put the protective coat on it.

Vanity – Went yellow a day or two days after and kept getting darker. At the end had to repaint with white normal paint

Let's start with the misleading naming. What is "advanced" meant to convey. Is it because if you called it "water based enamel" people would rightly… Read more

avoid it? I'm so annoyed that the hardware store (yeah, that one) gave me this when I wanted a proper metal paint. Adhesion? "Please explain"! I was working with pre-painted steel stock and that coating is a real (solvent) paint, so this stuff simply will not stick to it. Whole flakes just came off. I ended up having to re-prime the whole steel work to be able to use this, and the only reason I did was because I'm 200km away from the store. Even then the adhesion is poor. Same goes for painting over Colourbond. Lesson learned.

nervous so applied a second coat. The end result was good. 3 years later the top coat is still intact ( but we don’t scrub the tiles).Today I did some shiny enamel paint. Same issue with first coat. . Will try sanding a bit more.

Great product as reviewed by a pro – I use this paint in a professional capacity as an appliance repairer and it's the best out there for touch up repairs. Other users who have had… Read more

issues with bubbling - it is caused by poor surface preparation. It usually happens if the original finish isn't bonded properly to the fridge, you need to sand it back until you have a good key, and the bubbling speaks more to a cheap finish on the fridge as opposed to this product being unfit for purpose. If you do use it and it doesn't bond right, you can take the newly applied paint back off with acetone or paint thinners wet or dry, and prep your surface right, its one of the reasons we love it, that it's very forgiving and cones right back off if you get a run or bubbling or some other issue. Generally using acetone won't affect the original paint. The one big downside of this paint is that even mild solvents like degreaser tend to soften it, so you can't clean it with anything other than soapy water once applied or it will turn back into paint. I've heard of people using it for baths, I can't imagine it would last long in that application. I also wouldn't paint a whole fridge with it, that's not a reasonable expectation. If you want to do that you need a spray booth and a proper gun, you'd also need to sand the entire fridge. The product is great, but it isn't magic. If you expect this paint will magically transform you into a spray painting professional who doesn't need to key their surface, it won't do that. 90 percent of painting is prep, always has been, whatever paint you go with.

Definitely worth using – My splashback looks really good and I haven’t had any issues with the paint. My original tiles had a rough surface so they did not end up as glossy as I would have liked. However, the kitchen has been transformed!!
