Good mower few years old now and still like new – Couple of years old now and it doesn’t even have surface rust and everything works as it should. Can’t fault it. Basically it’s masport running Briggs and Stratton motor good mower  Show details

Alko t20-102hde – What a disgrace how can you sell a ride on mower and not tell you buyers that o by the way if you need parts you will have to wait for months for them to arrive from N/Z as I was told what a ripoff needs to be investigated Show details

Spare Parts - Forget it! – I have been happy with the performance of my mower. The only problem to date is dust getting into the switches. I now have a major problem, no replacement blades available. I have been told that since Masport was taken over by AL-KO they will be responsible for spare parts. My local Masport dealer has told me that Masport advise that it will up… Read more

to six months before they have spare parts available.

This is a ridiculous situation, surely a case for the ACCC to investigate. My mower has been put out of action, its resale value practically zero. Mower has only had 300 hours of use.

Don't Bother – Hydrogear diff gave out after first mow, replaced under warranty. 2nd diff struggles uphill when warm and catcher half full - you would have thought they'd take the grass weight into account when speccing diff. Pulleys wore out after 2nd mow, they wouldn't replace under warranty, replaced at my expense of $500. New pulley kit is of a different… Read more

material and have been on there for the last few years no problems - obviously ALKO's original pulleys were too soft a metal and the company has quietly changed the metal composition. (This is what irked me the most - if they covered the cost I would have accepted the material design error.) Plastic hood and catcher frame fatiguing and plastic falling apart. Clogs too easy. Best part about this mower has been the Briggs intek motor. Would not buy an Alko again. motor, chassis and deck have been also fine drive pulleys, hydrogear diff, plastics; bad warranty service

What a dog – Eats drive line and deck belts. Terrible (nearly useless) park brake. Works on flat ground - but that's it. Blades are made of soft mild steel, so they bend when they catch on anything - even a large clump of grass. Mows OK if the grass is 'hay' dry, and thin, but any sort of dampness, and the mower clogs. Within 5 metres. Every 5 metres. Dealer… Read more

was no help - they couldn't even assemble it correctly, let alone actually fix/repair anything correctly. The plastic is not UV resistant - so the body is fading, and disintegrating bit by bit - big cracks, with bits breaking off. Electric catcher tilt/empty. Good motor. Eats belts - both drive and deck. Clogs when grass is slightly damp, or even too green and sappy - regardless of length. Blades bend whenever they contact anything not grass - dog bones, bits of rope, bits of branch. Service from shop I purchased it from was worse than useless.

Makes mowing easier – On initial usage found Al Ko very easy to drive brakes work well and turns with little due to positive steering and the gas struts makes discharging the grass effortless Style and controls on machine A steel body would have been nicer

Terrible – Fabulous if you live somewhere flat with low rainfall and thin grass. When it works it is awesome, but doesn't happen often. It's red! Lawn looks just like a park when you mow Hydraulic lift on catcher Full catcher alert It's always in the shop, new belts are $79 seems to cost $300 every week to keep it. bloke at the repair shop.

Extremely poor brakes, not suitable for slopes or on damp grass (would be great if you lived in Bourke!)

Seat is too far from pedal, it strains your ankle to use it for a couple of hours

Petrol tank is too close to steering wheel, you have to lift the jerry can really high.
