Fantastic – This is my first ipad I have purchased. I waited till now because to be honest I didn't see a point to a tablet wen I had my trusty iphone 4 & had always thought was the point in having an ipad when I have an iphone 4 that does exactly the same thing, I thought honestly it was just a niche which had a position in the market but was more vogue. But… Read more
now in 2012 it seemed that it was a pivotal piece of Artistry that invoked the spirit of the people and Apple, I was enthralled.
So I finally went out and bought one for myself, and now I really don't know how I went for so long not owning one, it truly is a piece of art, it is the most amazing tech I have ever owned and I am a colossal Tech head, but all has been abandoned due to Mypad that's my name for it.
What other device can you read the news paper, watch your news, watch your movies, surf the net, read your books, listen to your books if your feeling languid, read your comics,do your assignments, play your games, listen to music, I don't do that though for the fact my iphone 4 is now my designated music player. Connect it to Apple TV, type this review, read and send your e mails, connect to your mac, use it as a wireless keyboard and track pad while your mac book is connected to the Apple TV, study, you might be thinking how can you study on a ipad but you can get most books you need for study via book shops or PDF downloads and there is also word on the ipad called pages to type up your assignments,, use it as a GPS, it's a bed side clock, video camera, digital camera, photo frame, photo album, web cam.
There are probably more things it can do but that's all I can recall off the top of my head right now.
Honestly between you and me you can absolutely do anything on an ipad Apple really created a piece of tech I believe soon will do away with the macs and PC's.
I am a fan.
only purchase this from a certified apple retailer due to the fact only apple has the 14 day unsatisfied policy found out the hard way when Dick Smith Electronics would not let me return it to get a bigger SSD. Does everything
Love It!! – I bought my 'New' iPad a few months ago - and I now really do believe that I would die without it. I think I have turned my laptop on a whole 3 times since I got my iPad - and that was only because I wanted to print some documents. I can do pretty much EVERYTHING on my iPad - I check my emails, I browse Facebook and Twitter, I surf the web, I play… Read more
games, I keep my Calendar up to date, I check the weather, I read books - pretty much anything you can do on your computer, you can do on the iPad. And it is so much easier. I can sit on the couch with it, rather than up at my desk. I can take it with me wherever I go, and it fits in my handbag, unlike my laptop. It's also easy, it's fast, and Apple updates there software fairly regularly, so when that happens its like getting a new iPad all over again (but without losing anything that you had on it before).
My 5 year old daughter loves it just as much as I do too, there are so many educational games available in the app store, and the majority of them are free (which is always a bonus!) - my daughter feels like she's playing all these awesome games, but they are actually teaching her so much at the same time!
The only problem I have really had is that its TOO addictive! And also the fact that it doesn't have a flash player (although I think you can download a 3rd party app for that), so there is the occasional part of a website that I can't view, but there are ways to get around it if this is important to you. Easy to use, fast, small and light, lots of apps to choose from No built in Flash Player.
Not like a PC – I bought an Ipad so I didnt have to lug around a laptop for my son to to his homework while we are away on holidays. No flash support so he couldnt do his mathletics. My wife tried to do internet banking through Westpac and the touch screen keys were so hard to use she locked the acount out. All the good things people say are true, but without… Read more
spending a fortune on extra software it just doesnt cut it as a laptop replacement.
I bought the 64gb version so I wouldnt run out of storage and I haven't but I would not have even purchased one if I knew java and Flash player are so poorly supported.
Doesnt Apple realise these two bits of software are widely used on the internet? Heaps of web pages JUST DONT DISPLAY! It's great for playing games, using internet, music, etc. No flash support, without spending a fortune on extra software it just doesnt cut it as a laptop replacement.Apple are becoming very arrogant with their customers. Heaps of web pages JUST DONT DISPLAY!

Perfect – I brought this iPad wanting a tablet on the go, and I can say this works perfectly with myself wiht everything that I wanted to it to do, This table is great with Video's, music, the Retina screen is amazing, I wouldn't change it to samsung apple all the way Show details
Great compliment to a Macbook & iPhone – Excellent daily driver for having a screen larger than a phone but smaller than a Macbook. I use it to watch Youtube at night and hasn't ever failed me. It has a few lags here and there but nothing unbearable and its convenience makes up for it. Solid device from Apple! Show details
Awesome, can't live without it – I have had my apple I pad 3 for almost 3 years. It is still working perfectly and I have had no problems unlike my husbands Samsung which has had to be serviced 3 times in the past year. Apple have got everything just perfect, monthly updates, useful apps and much more. Apple is just perfect for me and my family.
Just bought one - refurb – I just purchased a refurb 16gb blck ipad 3 from the apple store online. it arrived in less than 4 days and so far has been very good. my partner has a 32gb mini and it is noticeably faster at multi-tasking and running apps. I think it is the perfect time to buy a 3rd Gen as the 4th Gen are no different and you can get a ipad3 for $150 cheaper right now. overall very happy! speed, retina display
Lives up to expectations – I got this within the first week that it came out...within a week the kids have claimed it as there;s, the apps ( although some are overpriced) are entertaining and many educational. It's good to get a screen protector and case as I found it can scratch on the back aluminium casing. Battery life is good. The charger cover where it connected to the… Read more · 1
plug came off after a few weeks exposing the wires underneath, that was the only disappointment, so I had to buy another one. The design & Apps.
iPads are good but overpriced – I do like my iPad but Apple has some grubby practices which will see them lose business in the future. 1. They do not respond to customer complaints on email, phone or otherwise - they simply do not care because their power is so huge. On the plus side, Apple stores are excellent and have a great genuis bar concept whereby they help you solve… Read more
technical problems 2. They change the adaptors between versions such as 3rd Gen and 4th Gen 3. They keep offering newer models within short intervals rendering your product obsolete very quickly
They cannot keep their comp advantage for long. Google Nexus made a huge impact with competitive pricing and good offering
That said of course iPad has a great offering . music, videos, file management, apps, it's a lot of fun if you can afford it Its a useful portable tool The latest 4th Gen is even heavier, who makes products worse with new releases? Of course, Apple!
Best of both worlds PC and Tablet – Nice machine very portable. Even better if you load the Jump App on the device as you can then remotely connect to you PC and run it from wherever you are. OK so a lot of websites don't work on iPad but the solution is connect to your PC just use the PC browser to look at the website. Best of both worlds. And now with the release of Windows 8… Read more · 3
just download the Splashtop App and connect to your Win8 PC and you can run that remotely. But Splashtop is actually purpose built and the apple runs just like it has the Tablet Win8 running on it. So have an Apple and a Microsoft system all in one. User friendly and well supported in the community Runs hot so feel free to heat up your coffee on its back. Buy a cover.
Loved the little ipad3 trying to look for a good price – Loved it and easy to manage you cant go wrong with its easy to handel and has all a computer needs and you can easily stack in your handbag. Its also great for first time users! My dad got his first ipad1 a few years ago and keeps upgrading amust!! All its features and the wifi u can use anywhere everywhere!!
Amazing iPad – My dad bought my very first iPad and I named her daisy ;) I don't know anything about ipads like what's the difference between 1&2. I've always did everything on my phone and laptop. Now I hardly use my laptop I do everything on my iPad like check my emails, Facebook, games, Instagram and play games. I love it so much it's bigger screen better… Read more

Wonderful – My husband purchased me the all new iPad 3 for my birthday.. I am still learning how to use it, but I love it.... It has so many awesome features & it's so much better for the game playing. My kids have basically stolen it off me & I have found so many educational apps to use & keeps the kids entertained. We didn't purchase the cellular one, just… Read more
the wifi, I wish that we had of spent the little extra & brought the other one as my wifi is a bit slow & I have to take the pocket wifi modem with me when we go out & it goes flat... But other then that, it's so much better then a laptop Awesome for playing games & so much easier checking emails Can't use face book with it quite like a laptop
iPad 3 – My husband bought this for me, we were trying to decide between iPad 2 or 3. We ended up with the 3. Very fast performance. Crystal clear screen. Is great to use instead of my iPhone, much bigger screen so not squinting to read posts blogs etc. would def recommend to friends, i love it! screen, very fast
Nice – I like the new iPad. It's great for playing games, using internet, music, etc. One reason we bought the new iPad, is so that we could use the new hotspot feature. Unfortunately, being with the Optus network, that doesn't work. So I suggest that if you wanna use the hotspot, you go with Telstra, they seem to be the only ones who do it. (I am not… Read more
sure about Vodafone). Otherwise I am happy with the iPad. Stylish. Can use app store. Big screen. Light & portable. Hotspot doesn't work with all networks. Expensive.
Would go anywhere without it! – I purchased an iPad after seeing my mother in laws one. It is excellent! One stop shop really. From iBooks to taking photos! There is a good selection of apps for the iPad. My daughters love it and my husband tries to steal it! Smaller and lighter then a laptop but bigger then a smart phone - perfect. It fits easily in my handbag and is not bulky. Glad they don't have Siri :) Design, camera, apps, quality.
I love my iPad – The Apple had a big improvement on the iPad 3. It can be used as a laptop, but thinner and lighter. However, nothing is perfect. Sometimes it also lags, and the most important thing that i do not really like is the edge of the screen - the black and white one - it is too wide and makes it bigger. But I can say that it has more advantages than disadvantages, and currently I go everywhere with it good, many functions and applications expensive
This is perfect! Don't know what I did before I had one! – The Apple iPad 3 is fantastic!! I've used previous versions and the 3 is obviously the best. It's quick and user friendly. My 3 year old daughter loves it the most. Shell jump on and play her educational games ( great when we have to go out for dinner) My husband is on it every night checking eBay. He much prefers the iPad rather than lugging out the laptop. easy to use, long battery life Expensive
Perfect and educational – I got one of these for my autistic daughter, she has special apps I got through the app store which were designed for autistic children. These have taught her numerous words she never knew before the iPad. Its got an excellent screen size which means its easier fOr little ones to use the games/apps. You can also store movies on them which are good… Read more

Great! – I really love the Apple Ipad 3. It makes browsing the Internet so quick and easy. It's also so light and the perfect size. I would love if Apple made the next iPad with better browsing capacity, so its more like the browser on a computer. I also find it frustrating how Flash doesn't work. I hope Apple change this soon. It's fast, lightweight, stylish Flash doesn't work, browser needs improvement
Apple iPad 3 64gb Wi-Fi – We bought a new iPad as we needed to update our laptop and thought an iPad was the best way to go. Best decision we have made! It is quiet heavy though but easy to use, nice and slim for easy traveling. We looked at the other brands but with having iPhones we liked the idea of sticking with Apple. I find typing on the iPad much easier than a… Read more
laptop or desk top, everything I easier on the iPad! We showed the iPad to my mother and grandmother in law and they have now both bought iPads.
Highly recommend!! Slim, easy to use, great camera Weight

Don't drop it! – I am a Mac fan. The iPad works for the intuitive thinker but it does have a few shortcomings, it's slippery and Mac doesn't make a suitable clamshell keyboard which is just silly. It's beautiful and the retina screen is stunning but still, the lack of access to Flash is also rather silly. Android tablets are getting better and better and I wish… Read more
that iPad had a few more options like the ability to hook up to any printer via wifi... Still, you won't be sorry its lovely to use. But whatever you do - don't drop it! I found out the hard way that a cracked screen is considered cosmetic damage and had to pay fro a replacement & the iPad was only 3 wks old at the time! Beautiful, easy to use Still doesn't have flash capability & can't print from all apps ...
Goodbye Laptop! – I'm new to the Apple world, but I am totally hooked on my iPad 3. E-mails, surf the web, check the weather, TV guide, Games, and an enormous number of Apps for just about anything you need to do! This device is so versatile that I rarely boot up my laptop these days. Fast turn on, easy to use, 10 hour battery life. It's just like a giant Smart… Read more · 1
Phone! I haven't found it as user friendly as my Laptop when it comes to Office type activities- filing, typing, etc.
Not a significant upgrade to amazing technology – Wife purchased the iPad 2 for me last year. I purchase the new iPad 3 for her this year as she wanted the new one. The retina screen is brighter and crisp, however i downloaded a graphically intensive game on both, could barely see the difference. The iPad 2 is now $100 cheaper, and is much lighter than the iPad 3, and would have preferred to… Read more
have just purchased another iPad 2. The camera is better
with a higher resolution, and the internet is slightly faster on the new ipad, but I'm sticking with my iPad 2, and leave my wife to get arm strain for a heavier iPad! Crisp HD screen, faster internet, Better camera. Ipad 2 cheaper and much lighter, extra $100 not really justified with this model.
Fun to have just not practical – The product is very easy to use for games music etc.. however it was brought to assist with my work and as it doesn't integrate very well with micro soft office it is causing quite a few headaches even after down loading my Docs to go which should have alleviated the problem but there are still a few issues with it. On the other had email works… Read more
fine and it is fun to have just not that useful Great for Games music and google Doesn't integrate very well with Microsoft word products
apple Ipad 3 16 Gb Wi-Fi – When Ipad's first came out, I was against the whole concept of them, since there have been 2 generations and the demand is still going as well as competition from samsung and other manufacturers. The usability of the Ipad and the Retina display on the 3rd generation made me decide to go for the purchase, things like being able to look at… Read more
lecture notes without having to carry my heavy laptop around at uni and then when I saw one of my classmated pairing his bluetooth keyboard to his Ipad, I was converted, even though the original idea of the ipad was negative, it's usability and ability to change the way I study and work, has converted me to an ipad fanatic. lightweight and energy efficient
This is a great toy – A great toy, but where is the suit? Lots of apps for business, but it is a little..... Um.... unfriendly when you want to save files separately. What I mean by that is files save in apps and you can't create a single folder to keep your different files in for easy access. This is a fabulous gadget, apps for everything, from weather to… Read more
realestate and everything in between. The screen is amazing, battery life is great, wifi & 3G (in Aust) is a must I reckon. Being so portable you will take it everywhere with you so having data on the go, especially when traveling, is great. Perfect for eBay, Facebook, Internet, news, GPS, photos & video (& editing them), kids games, music & movies/TV shows etc.
The criticisms I've read about, I don't necessarily share. I don't think it gets very hot unless you use 3D games for a while (20mins+), and it's not burny hot. It charges slower than an iPhone, but you MUST use the 10amp charger it comes with. iPhone / iPod chargers don't have enough current for all iPads. It's not that heavy, it's solid & well made (IMHO).
Since having an iPad, others who have played with it for a while have decided to get their own. Even one friend who was anti Apple.
And finally, if it was lost or stolen I would defiantly get another one. Very happy with my iPad. Portable Internet, apps, screen, battery life, speed, smooth as silk operation, cloud storage, integrates into your life perfectly. Not cheap - even second hand they are dear.
Get one today – If its the only tech gadget you buy this year,do yourself a favour and beg, borrow or,well I dont condone stealing,so beg some more. This is a totaly addictive big kids toy.I cant say enough about how clear the pics are or how easy it is to use.Fantastic.I use it for so many different areas of my life and having failing sight, the size of the screen… Read more
is perfect,so much better than a little phone. This is your future, embrace it High tech, easy to use. Doesnt play Flash player, doesnt have Windows
The future has come – Well, not quite like the tablets in the movie Avatar, but I confess to being an Apple fan, every one of my computers and devices, incl. phones have been swapped for Apple products. I bought the iPad2 a year ago, just to see what the fuss was about. I fell in love with it, it instantly became an essential business tool. As soon as iPad 3 came out… Read more
I bought one, it's the same, but much more so.
Forget all the copies, the iPad rules, and if you have any other Apple devices, they all sync nicely together. top quality, best design, it just works
As expected – Great resolution screen has got me. I'm new to the iPad market and to me the third generation is a great device and welcomed over the iPad2. However if I did have an iPad2 I would probably not find a dramatic reason to make the jump. Apple has done well, again. I am a raving apple fan! Battery life, screen resolution, speed, reliability
Love it! – Ok so it's like a big iphone but I can't help but love it. It is fast unlike trying to surf the net on your iphone. Graphics is great and crisp. I think the volume could go higher while listening to music but is loud enough to play apps. The camera is better then the older version which was needed but I still think there is room for improvment.… Read more
Battery last longer then the older ipads. So easy to use and a great alternative then using a computer. great and easy to use. Camera could be better. Can get expensive when buying the higher end plus apple care.
I take it everywhere. Can't live w/o it – I have iPad 3, 3G plus wifi Information is so much more accessible now that I have iPad..... Email, Facebook, eBay, even remain n writting reviews :) the new iPad display is far better than iPad 2... Handy, yet very powerful. 3G is great for outdoors, I use Telstra prepaid for 3G, it's good. handy yet so powerful
Terrific Toy – I'm addicted to the games on this device. The display is terrific, the interface is easy to use. There are sites where you can get cheaper/free Apps that makes "feeding" the beast easy. The IOS is relatively straight forward, but I still use my PC for any serious work. The real limitation is that there is no expandable memory, and the USB… Read more
connectivity is somewhat limited. It would be nice if offloading/onloading was more like with a PC. Retina Display, Applications, WiFi interfacing no expandable memory, e.g. SD, hard drive. Apps only loaded through the Apple store.
Is another step si evolution – FAster, powerful, revolutionary , incredible image resolution i a little bit thick and heavy that the Ipad 2 but worth it, the camera colors are vivid, better contrat and the Voice recognition function is out of this world perfect for the applications for the little ones , simpel is a step infront of all is the revolution! perfect prie for all the new improves a little bit thick and heavy
