A little downside is that the home button does not work or function as well as it used to, but fortunately the iOS software has anticipated and rectified this situation with the in-built Assistive Touch feature.

I have the latest iOS software and I have experienced no lag or slowing down whatsoever. 16GB is ample space for songs, photos and various software.

As this phone is no longer sold by retailers, this review is merely a testament to the product's efficiency and endurance through time - other phones my relatives have purchased have barely lasted two years.

to ruin your existing phone or make them so deathly slow so you will buy the new one. It is a scam indeed.

And to add insult to injury, the software itunes that you MUST use to upload music and photos has a mind of its own. It is unintuitively to use and does not do what you tell it to do. Everytime you plug it in it also downloads updates and synchronises your music. It is so much more difficult to load a new song to iphone than to an android phone. It is equally deathly slow as well. Every time I use it I want to smash the phone.

When I get my new android phone I will smash the iphone with a hammer and burn it. I will never ever buy an Apple product.

offer. They agreed to match the old contract amount (knocking $10/mnth off the regular iPhone rate), so I figured, why not.

The phone itself if pretty good. Calls come thru clear & texting is easy. Plenty of apps available. Some are actually useful!! Got 1.5GB data free on my contract, so that's even better. The only gripes I have are... battery runs out quick when playing a lot of games, and Vodafone's coverage is useless (will be changing to Telstra or Optus when my contract runs out!) Solid. Easy to use. Lots of apps. Responsive touch screen. Poor battery life. Can't use your own MP3's as ringtones (you have to buy through iTunes).

Great Phone – I am a complete novice with mobile phone yet I found the I phone 4 easy to use. The number pad is big enough that I don't touch the other numbers when I choose a number. The phone was easy to down load apps and easy to flip through pages. I have partly numb hands and the phone is easy to hold.

A Comfortable Classic – A great phone - however it is being made redundant by the continuous upgrading of Apple software and unable to handle the more complex and heavy programs now. However I still purchased one recently - the cost is low and the camera quality still good enough to get the job done. Also I love the shape and feel.

Perfect ! – Iphone 4s are perfect! Can't live without, its so easy to work with and if I didn't have a Iphone I wouldn't be able to contact with anyone or talk to any one so having a Iphone is so worth it. Having a Iphone is the best phone ever,no problems with it its great.

I hate it now – I used to like my i phone 4s but it no longer works because it has no space for updates. It was a good phone when I bought it but unfortunately was programmed to be worthless now and forced to be added to the landfill with all the other products and appliances that are programmed to stop working so that we will buy more to add to the landfill in another 5 years.  Show details

Only good while it lasts ! they are a bunch of crooks. If you have an iphone running ios 7 then your fine. But ios 8+ steer clear because they tend to stuff the wifi and battery life sucks also my bluetooth stopped working.

defective product – First one lost wifi after 18 month, replace one lost wifi after 4 weeks, third one lost wifi after 4 month(warranty only last 3 month for replaced phone). could be a perfect phone without wifi issue.

Useful little phone for people who needs the basic – Great little phone bough via EB Games, for a friend who does not get along well with technology and wants something simple to use but functional. iPhone 4s does the job smoothly to have the basic apps installed and the battery last enough. Good Device but fails on battery issues – a very beautifully designed phone which can't cope with the new software updates. battery is not so good. but it is beautiful. still it works seemlessly and best part is that iPhone cannot be compared with any new phones when it comes to camera, this beauty beats them all. Solid and reliable – I like the Iphone 4s as it is a smaller handset and fits in my pocket easily. It has proven to be durable (with a protection cover). Telstra lists it as having good coverage for rural areas, but I find that my old nokia handset was much better when working in marginal areas.

Very good phone – Great phone, the only problem is that I keep loosing the damn phone. Its stylish and has lots of character, the size is also a big plus. those chunky phones really suck.

Nice phone. Reliable – Ive had my phone for a while now. Very stable operating system. Works well. Lots of good apps. My only complaints are that the battery life is not great (as for most smart phones) and that the apple system is quite inflexible.

Pretty Good Overall – Really like this phone but some of the apps are crashing lately and it has slowed down quite a bit since it was first bought. I am not sure if this is to do with updates.

significantly after just a few months of use, and the syncing of photos and videos can be an issue if you want to put old videos and photos back onto your iPhones 4S. Apart from that though, it's much better to use than just a standard mobile phone.

Perfect Screen Size so far – We are in 2014 but i still like this handset and also i have used iphone 5 and not really impressed and i am still sticking to Iphone 4S and its screen size is perfect for mobile and its very durable. underwater is that the speakers for apps such as skype or music and videos stopped working so I have to use earphones. Other than that, no more faults.

Will never buy anything made by Apple again, just not worth the hassles. Battery life is good. expensive, cant load my own songs onto without having to set up an account with Apple website, poor security on it.

Love the phone, not so much iTunes – Love the iphone 4s. Very user friendly and easy to navigate. However, I can't say the same for iTunes. I don't understand why such a user friendly phone is attached to something so inconvenient and difficult to use. Great to use if you never have to sync with iTunes ever! Great phone – Great user friendly phone. I like the operating system and all the options. I would prefer bigger screen so it would be easier to ready and watch videos. Original wall charger is bad. After using it for 2/3 months, joint was damaged. Battery life is very poor. It will not last more that 5-6 hours. fast & user friendly operating system. Only if it works – have problem with screen going dim on my first one. used it for a yr and recently got a replacement as it was playing up more. the new replacement is even worse. only lasted 2 days and died. cant even turn it on. easy to use if it's working. picture quality is pretty good. not a big fan of siri. light weight ease of use faulty and backlight not working properly

iPhone – This phone is simply divine. I use it to through at people who annoy me and it hasn't broken yet. It has once richocheted off someone's head and onto mine, and i found myself waking up a few minutes kater from being unconscious. I once also used it as a knuckleduster and slammed a really annoying girl. It also functions okay as a phone.

Easy to use but terrible battery life – My family have been dedicated iPhone users . Since upgrading to ios6, both mine & my sons phone are nearly useless. I'm lucky to get 5 hours of battery life.
