you are able to find the one you want, there is no ability to merely click the song you want and play it as you wish. The memory space is also very small, every time I wish to add a new song I must delete another which is never good. Unable to use it on a dock either which is never good.

OK – I think that it's o.k. I mean, it's GREAT when starting out, but then the memory gets drained. So overall, i think this would be a good present for first-time music listeners, but only when tht person actually plans on moving up on the totem pole. it's simple, stylish, and is pretty easy to set up. anything and great when going for a run! You just clip it on to your work out gear and off you go! The battery life of the ipod shuffle is amazing, I only need to charge it once a week and this is considering I use it everyday for at least four to five hours a day! I love that it clips onto my sleeve. The battery seems to last a while too. I wish it held more songs because Ive nearly exceeded my limit and will either have to erase some or get a bigger ipod. I don't mind the fact I can't see the name of the song or anything like that. I can't seem to sync more than one ipod on my laptop. The shuffle won't let me add my iphone or bigger ipod - it will erase my library. I don't know if there has been an update since as I have been too scared to try (it was very long and painful to readd all my songs again!)

It is madeup of aluminum, having 12hrs of battery time and 4 hrs of charging time. - Comes with earphones are of very high quality. - Supports MP3, WAV, AIFF, AAC, Audible format.

To upload or to change songs- we have to connect it with computer which must have iTunes installed so it automatically syncs with existing songs and update the songs.. as simple as it is.

you have to remember what is on it roughly. The power button should be on the top of the unit. The head phones are too small for adult ears. The indicator lights are small and you have to get used to the sequence of lights and what they mean.

actually matched the colour of the iPods, which made it super easy for me to know which daughter's iPod I was transferring what music to.

There is also an option via the iTunes interface to set a maximum listening volume which I think is great, as my daughter is prone to listening to her music at a night higher volume than I think is suitable.

These iPods were a replacement for a generic brand mp3 player that they had from kmart, and they are SO much better. They charge on the dock for syncing with the computer, and not having to find new batteries all the time and fiddle with getting them in and out is great. The sound quality is also way better, and the response of the iPod to buttons pressed is immediate and accurate. The circular control panel area is simple enough for my daughters to understand too, which is a bonus. As is the fact that they can just clip it onto their shirt or dress or whatever they are wearing.

My husband and I already wanted iPods, but having seen the quality and ease of use of these little iPods, we definitely want some and I doubt we would go with any other brand of media player. 10-year-old son. Because of it's size and minimal buttons etc, I don't worry about him breaking it (as he has done with the last mp3 player we bought him). There isn't much not to like about it.
