Asko CW4951

Looks better than it works but its still OK – We purchased this rangehood purely because we liked the look of it (silly I know). The guy at 'the good guys' warned us that its suction was about the minimum we would want to go for, but we took a chance on it as it suited the style of our kitchen and no other rangehood looked as good in that price point. So, it does look fantastic in our kitchen, but it is lacking in the suction power. I have learnt that i need to turn it on a good 15mins before i start cooking and leave it on for about 15mins after to ensure all the smells are removed. It is extremely quiet, so i dont hear it when its on. The 'turbo' function is very good - i just wish it would stay on 'turbo' instead of going back to high after about a minute.

Atrocious customer attitude – Bought this in mid August 2016. Once the box was opened the electrician determined that the range hood wouldn't fit into our chimney. The box was closed again and the reseller contacted. They informed us that Asko would charge a re-stocking fee of 10-15% of the purchase price to take it back! Had it been another manufacturer there wouldn't have been a problem since the item was unused. It's going to cost us over $100 to return this unused item. Btw, two months after purchasing this I'm STILL waiting for my (partial) refund. Guess who will probably never look at an Asko product again. Be warned!
