Astone EP-05

Poor product – I have had about 4 previous Astone players that have given away (family love them) because they are so easy to use, intuitive and cheap. When I upgraded to the EP-05 I was extremely disappointed. The remote control is hopeless as you have to be directly in front of the unit and close to use it, forget being even a bit to the side. The layout of the buttons is just stupid and not thought out. Fast forward is on the other side of the pad from play and all the many buttons are exactly the same shape and in stupid spots so you need the lights on to visually see the button label.

I am sick of pointing holding up the remote at the box and pressing the buttons hard and fast at different angles to try to get a delayed slow response. There is no labeled "back" button (and I cant find what else it might be called) so you have to go back to the main menu each time and go through folders again to start to find anything.

It is slow, unresponsive, not thought out and is a step backwards from previous Astone models. Don't buy. If my cousin Bob is reading this I want to swap the old cool Astone one I gave you for this!!

Remote button layout is simply silly, remote works very badly with unit, slow response in menus, gets hot.
