Feedback regarding Australia Post is mixed, with a stark contrast between positive local branch experiences and widespread frustration over parcel logistics. While some customers praise the reliability of tracking tools and the helpfulness of specific postal staff, a significant volume of reviews highlights ongoing challenges with delivery attempts, delayed timeframes, and customer support. Key takeaways indicate that while standard operations function smoothly for many, addressing consistency in home delivery and streamlining dispute resolution remain areas requiring improvement.
Australia Post refuse to allow questions or complaints with missing post items. There is no process without a tracking number no matter what the issue is. I am not receiving a large amount of mail and what I do receive is regularly tampered with. You simply can't report it. Show details
Absolute CLOWN SHOW. Sent me a tracking notification on my aus post app and an email so you would think they would take accountability for said tracked parcel that they contacted me about, right? Nope, it's apparently a star track parcel and I need to call them, yet Star track was bought by Aus Post years ago and their website merged with Aus… Read more
post, including the tracking, so why not the customer service enquiry on the packages? There is no seperate tracking for star track so I have to use Aus post to track but not their customer service? WTF is that! Stop this clown show! They're the same business! Take accountability for my $300+ in prescription medication that has been sent to the wrong state! Unbelievably bad service from the both of you! How dumb are your staff to send a QLD parcel to VIC when they don't even share one similar letter. Stop employing fools that cant read or speak English properly and sort parcels correctly! Merge your customer service instead of doing it halfway with just merging the tracking and website which makes it confusing on who to call! It amazes me that this clown show is still in business when so many better options exist. I used to work in parcel sorting with all my scans logged to my name and not once did I ever send something to the wrong state. There is a serious problem at the Victoria depot with mouthbreathing morons that can't read! This is the final straw, I will now be requesting all of my purchases from companies to use alternative postage services and avoid using Australia post like the plague!
Two parcels were sent to my from Victoria, by the same company. One was delivered on Monday 31 August. the other wasn't delivered. This morning, 2 September, I checked the tracking number for the missing parcel and discovered it is being held at the Victoria Point Post Office. Actually, there are two post Offices at Victoria Point, so Presumably… Read more
Australia Post expects me to waste my time going to both of them to find the missing parcel. No note was left in my letter-box by a driver to inform me that they couldn't deliver. I checked my CCTV for Monday and Tuesday, and no-one, Australia Post or otherwise, came to my home to attempt delivery. In fact, anticipating this behaviour, my front door was left open to show someone was home. Clearly this driver decided he was to busy, or more likely, too lazy, to deliver the parcel, so he just dumped it at the nearest post office. I am sick of this low quality performance from deliverers. I have already informed the sender company that, because I expect future deliveries from them, they must not use Australia Post to send parcels to me. Also, in future I will tell every other company I purchase from that Australia Post is not to be used. I will complain to Australia Post, but I expect my complain will be filed, because after all, I am just one among millions and they have the money for the delivery to my door, so they made a profit from not delivering.

Great service great team thank you for helping me out Show details
Always friendly and polite, these people are awesome delivery persons Show details
Continuously supply me with accurate updates and on time deliveries. Although no company is perfect the way Australia Post strives for it they would have to be close. I couldn’t imagine any supplier wanting to use anyone else for deliveries privately or commercially. After dealing with Team Global Express and their 96% Failure rate to their customers it’s so refreshing to have Australia Post there! Show details
Australia post delivery - packaged box x1 and parcel x - receiver Very friendly Australia post driver, rang doorbell and waited patiently, about 30 seconds (!was washing up in the kitchen at the time). He was polite and courteous - his name was ? Dashan - not sure how to spell it. If an Aus Post rep sees this, I'd love for him to get the positive feedback! Packages arrived in good condition in a decent timeframe Show details

it seems australia post in southern tasmania semi regulary send parcels around the greater hobart area after arriving in hobart, and when i enquire about it, they do not answer my question but refer me to contact the sender. -EDIT- after posting this review this is the response i got (see included screenshots) it seems the tasmanian branch of… Read more
australia post are semi regulary working to improve there sorting accuracy, i have not seen any improvement since june 2025.
Once again, let down by Australia Post. Do yourself a favour and send ANYTHING you can via courier and avoid Australia Post. They took $47 to Internationally express post important original documents. It is 6 days since my documents arrived in London bound for Ireland and they have not budged since! It is imperative they arrive BEFORE the birth of… Read more
twins due any day. If Australia Post cannot guarantee that UK handling will be efficient then send them on a direct flight from Singapore instead of via london! Standard documents take 5 to 10 business days with express apparently “ much faster”. They take the money for express and do NOTHING to ensure priority delivery. Well here we are at seven days and the ones we paid extra for have not arrived. Shame on you australia Post yet again! Your poor reviews are testament to your poor customer service … which is nonexistent! Please DO NOT charge poor customers and deliver nothing in return.

I purchased a ceramic doll from eBay (body is fabric and filled) legs, arms and face are ceramic. On the boxed package it read 'Fragile' I noted the aggressive nature of the handler when he handed it to me and the box making a sound like a bell. I opened my rare package and it was smashed and was packaged with bubble wrap! The item cannot be… Read more
repaired as is a rare/collector item. OUTRAGEOUS! I will never use Australia post for any goods from here on in, this is a reoccurring problem! Australia post hiring people who deliberately throw 'fragile' packages! And I have to give them at least 1 *?! You must be joking!
Total scammers...I posted my package on 25 July express post and I know that they don't move post on a Saturday but hoped that mine would be picked up on Monday 27th...well it was but on express post hoped that it would be over east in 1 day as told to me however after checking now they even breached their own promise of overnight and 2 to 3… Read more
business days...my package now arrives on the day that my settlement must happen...this service is shite and should not operate...in fact they should say that express post takes 5 to 7 business days and regular or standard post 12 to 14 days...I will not use this service again...they are too big for their shoes....

This is my second bad review on Australia Post and in my opinion they should be closed down and all their personnel should fired …they don’t even know how to spell “customer service “ I applied for renewal of my passport and I had to pay an extra of $107 to be able to get my passport express in 5 days ( now they also have option regular that takes… Read more
up to 6 weeks $422 or express 2 days for an extra of $308 ) and only after I payed the $422 plus $107 for express 5 days that the post office employee let me know that it’s 5 days to prepare the passport and then it’s another week for certified mail to be delivered at my address and that I had to have someone at the address to sign for it…made my calculation and to be safe I booked my ticket 16 days from the date of application.. in those 16 days I also swapped shift at work from am to pm shift to be able to be at home if passport get delivered as I have no one to sign for it. After 5 days I received an email from passport office that my passport was ready and in the mail and get provided with a tracking number. I waited for 10 days for the delivery and kept checking my mail box to see if postie has left a card to pick up my passport at post office instead but nothing and the day of my departure was almost there. After another week I called passport office and I got confirmation that my passport was in the mail so I checked the tracking number and I get message saying that Australia past has attempted to deliver my certified mail but unable to do so because no one was home and that it’s available for pick up at local post office…that is a lie ..I didn’t move from home all those days especially for the passport and the postie has never even attempted to deliver he just took it straight to post office..too lazy to press intercom and wait for me to get down and pick up my passport…at the post office I asked how long the passport was sitting there and they told me that it’s a week or so…I lost time and money because I had to cancel my flight and lost money in having express service when I could just a ply and wait for standard time (6 weeks) When I complained to Australia post the told me that they investigate and get back at me and few days after the response was that the parcel has been delivered now so the investigation was closed…I lost it and I called them asking them to refund me the express money but their justification was that the delivery was attempted but no one was at home and send me a picture of intercom but no picture of the postie actually buzzing at my unit…they are a bunch of crooks and lazy parasites.. they only want money but service they have no idea about it..I wish them all the worst in this world to their employees and their manager and the worst of the worst to the one at the top…you ate disgusting and u making this country a third world country.. shame on you all..Australia Post you make me sick

hot glued shut as well as taped. Lamp arrived to customer in a different box and completely shattered. The box would have to have been so incredibly roughly treated for this to happen, almost deliberately. I will never use Australia Post again for anything like this. I bet they won't compensate either even though with tracking and signature purchased they are supposed to. My advice......DO NOT DO IT.

working that don’t allow me the time to go to post office during business hours . Now the parcel locker had power surge yesterday and they put a sticker on the machine with an 1800 number to call for after hours collection and the number I called advised me that someone will get in contact …2 days after still no one contacted me …went back to parcel locker and issue hasn’t been fixed . So I contacted the number again and been told that the issue is been reported and if I needed something I should contact customer. On the meantime they keep texting to collect my parcel from locker then they let me k is that my parcel is been moved to post office and than I have a limited time to collected before they send it back . What’s the purpose to have a parcel locker if I have to take time off from work to go and it at post office …Australia post has proven again and again that they are an absolute joke and last thing in their mind is customer service …disgusting

I have been using the services for Australia Post Mitchell Post Shop on Flemington Road, Canberra for 10 years now and they never fail for great friendly service. Parking is convenient and the staff are always helpful even when they have a huge line up.
I find that updates from Auspost are very helpful, you know exactly where your parcel is and your given a date for delivery. As always my parcels are delivered undamaged. Show details

They had but one job. Deliver a package. Failed completely, what is worse is that the driver pretended to deliver the parcel. Will have to now collect it from the post office. Pure incompetence! Show details
Useless company , parcel ends up at the 2 of the depots where my parcel would of been delivered to my place but instead they send it to another depot and then chane the delivery time to days later then before. Who ever is running these places has no clue what they are doing. Show details
We ordered and paid $63.20 to have our mail held for 5 weeks until August 21st. After that time no mail was received. "very busy with other calls") got nowhere. I went to the local mail distribution centre a week after the mail should have been forwarded/delivered, to be told they don't deal with the public and I should go to the Post Office however they agreed to have a look and, voila! our back mail was sitting on a shelf in the sorting room. It hadn't been delivered because our regular postie was on leave they said. Obviously they don't have the systems in place to address this contingency. A very poor service indeed. If I hadn't gone to the distribution centre myself the held mail would still be sitting there for who knows how much longer. Not good enough Australia Post!!

It's a shame that they were once really good but in the last 2 years something's changed and they've gone downhill rapidly. This is the 3rd package they've lost in very similar ways and if you ring customer service they're so hard to understand and I'm just guessing what they're saying. This parcel was sent from Burswood Perth WA to Thornlie… Read more
Perth WA some 30 Km away and it started well by ariving at the correct postal center then took a day trip to the airport and another trip to an office way out of the way then another trip back to the airport and has now boarded the plane for Richmond Victoria. It's going to be 3 weeks before it gets back off holidays touring Aus and returns to Perth WA so that's just ridiculous. I do hope they refund the postage to itech world for their GROSS INCOMPETENCE... You set a new record for stupidity, well done.
AusPost should be closed or sold off. It is useless and getting worse. Disgusted with Australia Post, checked the tracking on my parcel and it came up Destination closed, unable to deliver, funny about that, I was home at the time specified with the front door open, no one came up my driveway or at my front door, I checked The Ring on my front door and no one came near my door, I am sick on incompetent Aust Post hiring incompetent drivers who cant read a simple address, the lie about it!!!! I just want to say something about prices AP charge customers. I recently sent small parcel (new baby present) to Poland and was charged $76.00.
