In my experience auspost only delivered to actual delivery address around 50% of the time whilst others deliver 99% of the time. When they don't deliver they leave it at a collection point, requiring the recipient to do the work their many of their employees won't do. - DELIVER!. This does not change no matter how many complaints one makes to… Read more
auspost and the consignor. Solution just don't collect the undelivered parcel, you will be refunded for purchase and perhaps consignors and auspost will realise there is a cost resulting from failure to deliver to actual delivery address
I had 1 of 2 parcels go missing which were sent together, and after a few lengthy conversations with the office, 1 of which said it would take more than a week for me to receive. The other said they were going to look into it, later got back to me saying they could not locate it. I tried to call the post office where it was going to be delivered… Read more
to and they won't answer their phone. So I can kiss the item goodbye. Australia post needs a kick up the [Content Removed] and another postal service brought in, I'm sick of having to deal with only 1 postal service. 1 star is way too much.
I had an sms that my delivery would be at 12:20pm-02:20pm on the 27th of March 2026. Since there was no delivery made till 3:00pm, I called the post office and was told there was a picture as proof that it was delivered in the lobby. If the delivery man does not take a picture of a delivery in front of the door with the door number, it is not a… Read more
proof of delivery. Then , I went to the other lobby, and it was on the floor of the other lobby. Anyone could have taken it.( Please take into account people's feedbacks in reviews)

Always friendly and polite, these people are awesome delivery persons Show details
Continuously supply me with accurate updates and on time deliveries. Although no company is perfect the way Australia Post strives for it they would have to be close. I couldn’t imagine any supplier wanting to use anyone else for deliveries privately or commercially. After dealing with Team Global Express and their 96% Failure rate to their customers it’s so refreshing to have Australia Post there! Show details
Australia post delivery - packaged box x1 and parcel x - receiver Very friendly Australia post driver, rang doorbell and waited patiently, about 30 seconds (!was washing up in the kitchen at the time). He was polite and courteous - his name was ? Dashan - not sure how to spell it. If an Aus Post rep sees this, I'd love for him to get the positive feedback! Packages arrived in good condition in a decent timeframe Show details
I live in a rural village, so the Postie drives a Van. With a wave & a smile, always gives a little toot. My eParcels & Express Post envelopes arrive exactly when the tracker estimates. If I'm not home, a photo is taken of the safe place my parcel is in and uploaded to the Australia Post App. Ol fashion service with 21st Century technology. Love it. The photo doesn't quite show that the letter box is next to the van door. Show details

it seems australia post in southern tasmania semi regulary send parcels around the greater hobart area after arriving in hobart, and when i enquire about it, they do not answer my question but refer me to contact the sender. -EDIT- after posting this review this is the response i got (see included screenshots) it seems the tasmanian branch of… Read more
australia post are semi regulary working to improve there sorting accuracy, i have not seen any improvement since june 2025.
How inconvenient of the delivery staff who was working to deliver was delivered on top of shoes instead of placed on the doorstep very unprofessional whoever delivered this parcel not I'm going to give them a piece of my mind if I catch them doing this again if I know who is doing this I'm not impressed with how they delivered my package shame on them Show details
Australia Post seems to be going downhill fast, as far as parcel deliveries go anyway. Communication and delivery times used to be great and almost always delivered at the time they specified. Now we get ad hoc communications (sometimes none and the parcel just arrives or never does) along with unfathomable and wasteful delivery journeys. For… Read more
example, I purchased an item from a retailer at BATHURST on Wednesday morning which was to be delivered to me at Mudgee. The parcel was picked up by Auspost later that morning and approved for shipping at 12:50 pm that day.
Next entry was that it had arrived at a SYDNEY sorting facility on the Thursday late afternoon. Next entry it arrived back at BATHURST on the Friday 1:00 am and it's still stuck there.
So Auspost wasted two days and their time and effort shipping the item from Bathurst to Sydney and back to Bathurst again!
If Bathurst had simply put the parcel on the next Mudgee bound van I would have received it Thursday morning.
As it is, because of their crazy shipping zig-zags I'll be lucky to receive it by the next Monday!
This is not the first time this has happened either. I ordered an expensive ceiling fan from a retailer in Brisbane. The delivery journey showed it went from Brisbane to Sydney and back at least FOUR times. Finally it was officially declared lost and the retailer had to ship me a 2nd fan at their cost.
They badly need someone with an ounce of brains to come in and sort out their parcel routing madness and failing messaging service.
Not good enough.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable because the failure was not just a delay - it was a HUGE chain of handling and communication failures. My birthday present parcel, after being shipped from overseas, was delayed for almost a week. That's okay, delays happen, outside variables are unpredictable. However, there… Read more
was NO meaningful explanation or proper communication on ANY channel.
Upon checking the Australia Post app, I noticed that my receiver's address had been misspelt. I then lodged a complaint, asking for an explanation for what had gone wrong, if the delay was because of the incorrect address. I also left my correct address in the complaint. That complaint was received, yet ZERO meaningful action was taken.
The next day, I got a huge surprise! The parcel was then marked "return to sender". NO COMMUNICATION, NO CLEAR EXPLANATION, NO COMPLAINT REVIEW, NO FAIR CHANCE TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE, NOTHING.
Next, I gave a call to the Australia Post for an urgent complaint and explanation. I was informed it could be intercepted. Unsurprisingly, interception also FAILED.
The funniest thing was, I later rechecked the address details from my purchase and confirmed the parcel had been correctly spelt by both the sender and receiver. WHICH MEANS THE COURIER/INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING WAS THE CULPRIT.
What makes this so poor is that if it was just one delay, I would've laughed or said "Understandable".
Nothing about my experience was understandable in the slightest. I was failed again and again and again and again and again and again. I paid for the service, the service trolled me and injected errors, the service refused to communicate and then decided to act on my behalf - by returning my parcel.
This is not a tragedy, it's the definition goddamn FARCE!!!

Absolutely horrendous. Would not recommend ever using. Just use independent post or something else. Paid for express delivery on medication. Package has gone from Brisbane to 4 different locations in Sydney (my location). Then to canberra to 3 different locations then back to Sydney. Great in a fuel crisis. And now they are telling me it's just going around in circles. Show details
Auspost simply lied about the delivery of a package and even claimed a signature was gathered at the address at 6:00 AM, which is impossible as it is only only open form 9 to 5. They made no attempt to locate the package nor compensate for its theft or lose. This is quite outrageous. Show details

Australia post has lost my order. In February, I went to pick it up on Sat 28 with QR code in hand. I was told, "it is registered as received but not in location specified at the post office". A resolution form was filled out. I heard nothing on… Read more
Monday 2nd, so used their contact phone. The automation told me it was available for pick up. I went to the post office that afternoon and was told, "it is one of a dozen-ish parcels missing". Nothing heard Tuesday. Friday 6th, received message and email saying parcel was at post office ready for pick. Same tracking number. I was in the middle of a job, but left work early to pick it up. Perplexed look. "No", I was told, "we don't have it here". "That was our automated system sending out a reminder to pick up your parcel, which we, Au post, have no control over". Also, "we've been given permission to say, we had a break in, and parcels were stolen, yours included". The message doesn't say reminder. The email doesn't say reminder. But the subject line of the email does. So clearly my fault for not registering the email subject line for a parcel that has vanished. I was first told, it was marked as here, but not in listed location. Next I was told, it was one of a dozen parcels missing. Now I'm told, it's been stolen?. Can't wait for the next instalment... So being diligent, and because I've not heard a word from Au post at all during this saga, I filled out a "missing parcel inquiry" online, over the weekend. Two days later, on march 17, i get an out of state phone call from Au post. She acknowledged my enquiry, told me, my parcel was waiting at the post shop.? Having lost any faith in Au post, i wasn't going to believe that! I said "you do realise it's been stolen right?" She mumbled something and then after tapping away on the keyboard, she tells me, "the sender of the parcel has been in touch and has been compensated". Say what?!?!?!? A second ago she told me "it's waiting to be picked up". Now after being prompted, she actually looks at the record of this delivery??? What in the world...? To top off the outstanding performance of this finely tuned organisation, according to my Au post account, it's still waiting to be picked up! WOOOOW!
Follow-up · Aside from my prompting, I never heard a word from Au post. It all makes sense when you realise it's government owned/operated, zero internal communication.

unavailable over the weekend, the food I ordered will sit in a hot warehouse for days. As soon as I can get ahold of one of you two I will be placing for an immediate refund and I will just get the products myself as you can cleary never actually rely on delivery companies to properly do their jobs. The lollies I ordered was for my nieces birthday party and now she's devastated today with no lollies for her special day. What's the point of having a same-day delivery option? Shame on you guys.
Follow-up · Disgusting, no refund no phone calls no nothing Australia post and star trek are so bad would go through any other company if it was possible

deliver how did they get so incompetent? A small package posted to me on Wednesday failed to be delivered due to them sending it in the opposite direction. It's been in and out of Sydney West 4 times to date and still nowhere near my local delivery centre. You cannot get to speak to a person on their tracking site only some AI bot that fails to answer questions. It's time the communications minister has a good look at how they have destroyed a working system for one that patently doesn't work properly!
Follow-up · Package was some small and lightweight and was sent from less than 30km away. How the hell would I know when it started? Ask Auspost why they can't manage what they used to deliver next day. I just had another posted Wednesday, delivered Monday also from 30km away.

Lovely staff, always helpful, always happy. Can do attitudes to make things happen when their closest PO in Caboolture cannot do it. I would definitely give 5 stars if they put Saturdays when closed up on their website to advise.. Thank you ladies ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I wish to thank the two assistants that were working yesterday afternoon (4/2/2026) @ Middle Dural Post Office They were both very professional, helpful, courteous, knowledgeable & friendly. This is why I visit in the afternoon as I'm aware they are working. MANY thanks. Jill Show reply
I was having issues with applying for a very old birth certificate from S. well: but is able to convey the processes clearly and succinctly. Plus she has a remarkable memory: and can pick up with a customer even though she operates out of two venues. Tania even brings in processes that are needed for a mistake free and ONCE only process : over and above the information I received from the official passport line.
Thank you Tania for all your patience and persistence in the not so easy process of applying for a lost passport: your assistance has been invaluable. Your expert efforts have enabled me to present a correct submission 1st time: thus saving time and repeated efforts: which all cost time and money. And thank you to Aust Post for employing and training such capable and friendly staff !

Auspost is the worst organisation to deal with. Ordered an item on 17 Mar 26. It was sent from NSW on 18 Mar 26 and then it sat in Redbank, QLD (where I am) 20 Mar to 06 Apr. Even worse is their customer service when something goes wrong. Chatbot does not work. You cannot get a person on the phone, just automated AI. 40 mins of trying to contact someone and AI hung up twice stating they cannot help me. This is not an isolated incident and 9/10 times, you get bad service. People rely on this service to run businesses and they just don't care when they stuff up.

As others have said. Quicker getting a parcel from china than domestic. From Perth to Geraldton it takes longer than from other side of Australia. Absolute scam. Pay for express post and you get ripped off. Show details
Desperate service from Australia post. Keeping my package in welshpool for 3 days. Moving it to kelmscott for another 4 days plus weekend. I don't understand why Australia Post keeps our packages for so long. If you can't deliver the job so don't take it. Very disappointing and disgusting. I don't nt recommend Australia post at all. A big ZERO for Australia post. Show details

feedback on why this occurred the first time I had to chase them. Service is poor, feedback poor and most likely the same person that was too lazy to deliver my parcel the first time has done it again. It seems that this is an accepted practice for Australia Post.
Ordered a small item from a Melbourne Brunswick supplier. 3 days later it turns up in Essendon. Then it’s lost for 2 days then moving in the wrong direction to Dandenong. I’m hoping it will get to me in Geelong in the next month! What a laughable service run by politicians. Show details

experience. This may not seem important to Australia Post but it was a disappointing and fustrating experience out of the retailer's control.
My parcel was not delivered to my nominated address although the "Shipping information approved by Australia Post" as noted in track your parcel information. There was no sign of a driver so they didn't even bother to try to delivery the item and then it wasn't even taken to the nearest and most convenient post office. Their App said "It's coming today" for 3 business days prior to being finally being informed it had been taken to a unmannned post office. I was never advised that delivery to my nominated address was not posible and there was no alternative communication options to confirm the delivery details or reason for the delay. Unfortunately this soured my overall shopping experience.
Current delivery person brings parcel to the door. Instead of knocking he tries the screen door handle. Our car is parked in driveway and front door open. He would know someone is home. So why isnt he knocking. Attempting to open the locked screen door??? Its creepy. This has occurred multiple times. The parcel is not to be signed for. Just knock and leave it.
Despite having my gate to the front door wide open and waiting actively for the package, the lazy delivery driver forced it through the narrow gap on the box. This was a delicate product, a car part, and this st***d ignor*mus forced it through, squashing and almost ripping open the little box. Seriously, if he damaged it Im going to sue them, this… Read more
