Azzuri Tigre
1 review
Good – In summary, I have been extremely happy with my first Azzurri frame. It isn't a Colnago or Trek but value for money appears to be a excellant purchase and replacement for the old frame. Info. on Azzurri's warranty honouring suggests that the company has an excellant reputation in this area. I look forward to the replacement of my frame and getting back on the road again. After writing off my Trek frame (not insured) I was in the market for a less expensive frame. I was put onto the Azzurri frame by the lads at Bicycle Express and have been wrapped with it. They transferred the Ultegra & Bontrager componetry across and I was back in business. The frame has a stiffness to it which enables prompt accelaration. I also like the absorbtion of the frame when on the rougher surfaces. Overall I have been pleasantly surprised by the performance of the frame. To purchase a full carbon frame in any other make would have just about put me out of the bike riding scene for a while. Having only chalked up approx. 2000kms on the frame since purchase I noticed some uncomfortable movement towards the rear of the bike at speed. Closer inspection of the frame revealed a small crack immediately behind the bottom bracket on the chain stay. I have since returned the frame to the place of purchase and am awaiting further contact re: warranty.
