Baby Jogger City Micro

Great for quick trips – I have this stroller for my 17mo son for just quick trips in/out of shops post office walks around the street and it's great. He sinks down into a bit tho and doesn't always look comfy. I wouldn't use this for babies that can't hold there own head as there's not much support, basket is tiny and useless. I wouldn't use this as my everyday stroller for bigger outings.
Great Space Saver! – I loved this Stroller. Was so Light and easy to fold & took almost no space in my boot. My son was very comfortable and it was very easy to manouvre. I wish I had one when my daughter was younger, 10 years ago. Makes shopping and getting around alone with small children easy. Paid good money for it , so was glad it was such a good product! Easy to fold, carry, open one handed with a baby in the other arm, takes up very little boot space. Show reply
Light weight compact stoller great for travelling and smaller car boot – It really easily to fold and open, light weight , and compact size compare to other stroller. I traveled a lot with this stroller both by plane and car. It can be folded easily (a breeze through airport security check, doesn't take lots of boot space) and light weight (great if you traveling without husband, easy to lift). Light weight, easily folding mechanism Doesn't lie completely flat
Worth every cent! – This stroller is incredible! It is so lightweight at only 7.5kgs yet has so many features of a full size pram. It has a sturdy sunshade which does a reasonable job. The seat reclines easily though does not recline very far making this stroller unsuitable for babies under 6 months old. There is a handy storage basket under the seat and another… Read more
storage pocket on the back of the seat. The front swivel wheels have suspension and remove easily if you need.
The maximum weight capacity is 22.5kg which is far greater than most other prams / strollers.
The whole seat fabric can be removed and put through the washing machine for easy cleaning!
The outstanding feature of this stroller is the Quickfold folding system. A strap is located at the rear of the seat and when pulled the stroller folds in one motion!!
I would recommend this product to anyone!! Quickfold folding system, lightweight, maximum weight capacity Seat does not recline very much, can be hard to adjust harness, not suitable for jogging or off road walking
Failed in under a year, no help from customer support at all – A great little buggy when it works, which for us was just under a year of regular use. The front wheel buckled completely under the frame when I was pushing my daughter back from nursery and on further inspection the soft metal of the frame had completely sheared. Thankfully we weren't crossing the road when it happened. When I contacted the… Read more
customer support (Kooltrade in the UK) I was told it was not a defect or fault and that a repair would cost me £48 plus shipping. Somehow they came to this conclusion from two mobile phone camrea pictures which is rather convenient.
They can be bought for £95 new including shipping so obviously this doesn't represent economic sense.
It seems that Baby Jogger/Kooltrade are perfectly happy with their products failing under normal use as long as it doesn't cost them any money.
My advice is to give your money to a more reputable company who stand by their products when things go wrong, rather than baby Jogger/Kooltrade who would rather take more of your money with overpriced repairs and accessories.
In the long run it makes much better financial sense as we have found out. Cheap and a good folding design. Little or no customer support, bulky when folded and the shelter is far too small.
Good Stroller – Overall I love the pram and promote it to other parents (or soon to be parents) when asked. Just a few minor things that could be fixed design wise. Extremely easy to fold up, light and easy to handle. Storage basket isn't all that big. Nothing to clip the pram shut when folded. Sun canopy is not a big as other Baby Jogger prams. Seat doesn't sit fully upright so need to get the belly bar so child can pull to upright if wanted.
Excellent – I LOVE LOVE LOVE this stroller! I went through 3 prams trying to find the right one with them being either too bulky, heavy or just difficult to use. I researched like crazy before buying this and am so happy with it. My little guy likes it too - I bought the ELC steering wheel in place of the belly bar so he has something to hold onto and keep… Read more
him busy.
Best of all, the ease of folding and unfolding and the manoeuvrability mean I can grab it out of the car for even the littlest trip to the shops, rather than lugging my chubby bubby around with me. This makes little errands a breaze, instead of a back breaking drama.
It was a bit more expensive than other strollers, but well worth the investment for the simple joy of using it. Even my hubby likes taking the little one for a walk now.
Try it out to see if it is right for you but I can not recommend it highly enough One hand fold mechanism, seriously it is amazing!
Lightweight, super easy to manoeuvre -especially in shops. It has a tiny little turning circle, I sometimes just spin it around to show it off.
Back pocket is handy for purses and phones etc
Under seat basket has elastic sides so you can stretch it to get things in and out
Top viewing window has no velcro so it doesn't wake an almost asleep baby when you have a peep Accessories are expensive, my little guy needs something to hold onto but the belly bar is $$$ and costs more than buying a whole new umbrella stroller
Wouldn't work for a short bub (like mine) when he was smaller. the straps begin quite high on the chair so a smaller bubb wouldn't fit in them and would be very uncomfortable.
A little bumpy off road and can get stuck on but curbs - but it's a stroller, not a mountain bike!
Fabulous stroller – We LOVE this stroller. So easy to setup/foldup, light enough to throw into the boot of the car with one hand and really easy to push around. Like the way that it folds in half rather than long and skinny like traditional strollers. We have purchased the tray table and the rain cover. The tray table is a little bit high (and not adjustable) for… Read more
younger ones, my two year old can just reach things on it now. The rain cover fits really well, and it's quick to get on and off. We also purchased the travel bag which has been worth it for protecting the stroller from airline handling! The pocket on the back of the seat is really useful when out and about, and there is a lot of space underneath the seat for storage - much more than other strollers that I have used and access is easier.
The seat could be a little more padded and have more support in the back as it does sag now that my DD is about 12kg. Our little one never slept in strollers, but if you are looking for one that is comfortable then this may not be for you as the recline is not really enough for them to lay down and have a good nap.
We started using the stroller at 6 months and the harness adjusted well to fit her then and still has heaps of room for her to grow now. We have the green which can show marks, but it is easily cleaned with a bit of warm soapy water and comes up like new. I can see us using this stroller for many years to come. It has had a serious workout (tread on the tyres is almost worn off) but it still folds and moves almost like new. Easy folding system (one hand operation), easy to unfold, adjustable recline, very easy to turn even one handed, large space for shopping and gear underneath and on the back of the seat, cleans up really well after spills Could be improved with a slightly longer hood for sun protection (like the BJCMini), seat back sags a bit as toddlers get heavier (more wriggly) but I think this has been fixed on the 2011 model (ours is 2010). Accessories are quite expensive, and it doesn't come with sun/rain covers, belly bar etc.
Good – I would recommend this stroller to anyone who is space limited in their vehicle or is looking for a nifty little stroller to use around town. I found it much better than the other strollers on offer such as the Phil and Ted Smart Buggy which I had actually gone in to buy and then found the City Jogger much more practical for my needs. It is… Read more
fantastic to fold up and can be done easily with one hand. It fits easily into a small boot area. We have 4 children and boot space is limited in our 4wd when the rear seats are up. This stroller fits easily into the tiny space behind one of the seats. Easy to maneuvere and keep clean. I love the bright colours offering something different from the standard (but probably more practical) blacks and beiges. My 6 month old looks very comfortable in the stroller and has lots of room to grow into it. It steers okay on cut grass but I certainly wouldn't be taking it off road anywhere. At the end of the day it's a stroller made for use in the city not an all terrain vehicle. The recline is limited which means if bub goes to sleep it can be difficult to put him into the stroller without waking him up. There isn't a lot of head support for the smaller bubs so I have used a headrest to keep my 6 month olds head steady. Having said that, I still used a headrest in my old pram for him so it's not a reason not to buy it just something to be aware of.
Good – Great little pram for those who wish to travel with ease, small car boots or on a budget, also great quality as to be expected with baby jogger products. I travel quite extensively so decided to buy a city micro because I own a city elite by the same company and found it to be superb except when travelling interstate and internationally it can be… Read more
quite heavy. The micro however is light, has the same easy one step fold and unfold technology which was the deal cincher. It's small enough to take right up to the airport gate, I absolutely love it. I would love a larger hood on the city micro.
Good – I purchased the twin city mini with visions of hitting the pavement around our local area. I needed something better than a standard stroller, and it needed to fit in the back of my hatch. Kinda wish I didnt for the money. My toddler doesnt like it and I am not sure I am going to get much use out of it. I think its a little bit of a rough ride… Read more
for him. You NEED a pram insert for smaller bubs, something like a kidoputamus insert thingi. I wish and wish they would make the back tyers be pump up, even if its an interchangable accessory, to make it a smoother ride. I dont like how much my baby swings around in it, but I think all canopy prams are the same, its just with these ones you see all the movement.
Great pram if you are travelling. I think I would love it if the larger one would just get in there! Quick fold, weight, suncover, designed to cope with warmer weather unlike other prams which seem to get hot. My eldest doesnt seem to like it, expensive extras.
Good – I think this pram is good value for money. Being able to pack it away with one hand is a winner when you have a squirming baby. I also love not having to buy a separate suncover. however, when going to the park for a walk, its definitely better to stick to the path! The quick fold design is definitely the best feature of this pram. Also like the… Read more · 1
great hood that folds out - shades baby much more so than other prams that ive seen. no need for a suncover. It doesnt seem very comfortable for sleeping in. Also it doesnt have the option of having baby facing you, which is nice when you have a newborn. Also not very good on grass or sand.
Good – Praise for the brilliant one-fold design, coz now i've the second one, my hands are always full, it's more handy if i can use ONE hand only to fold it back to carboot, and i hate to struggle with the pram, take long time to open or close it... now everytime i open or close it in less than 10 seconds, bit unbelievable! And with my active 3.5 yrs… Read more
old, when she runs away, me-n-stroller (with my 1-yr-old insdie) need to run together to catch her, or the other way i need to brake stroller immediately to grab her back if urgent/in danger... the steering is good, can move/trun stroller fast n easy, quick to brake too, step the red-pedal in middle of the bar (back wheels) and it's done. I used to have a Jeep stroller and it was good, untill my daughter broke the plastic foot-rest, so this time i looking for something Stronger, and i used to have back problems thus the stroller needs to be light wt, plus, my girl getting older and taller, need one with bigger capacity and taller back-support ( some umberella stroller, toddler head might taller than the back-rest, so toddler might not have head-rest while sitting in ). With the alu frame i don't think my girl can break it this time, longer back-rest and bigger capacity which means can fit kids when they getting older and taller. So overall the City Micro is good to me, however as fr the Cons, seems not very comfy when my girl sleeping in sitting position; and the basket not very practical, can't put big things in (say pack of nappy fr supermarket) as the gap between basket n bottom of seat not large/big enough. I tried to fix the nowhere to put small things problem on the handle, by putting a hock/small "S" shape hanger to carry my handbag on the handle, but it falls on the side... having said that i like it, coz you can't get every single thing you want... or i should say with this price, can have many other choices, however it has almost all I need esp the one-fold, so i don't border about the rest minor things la : ) ONE-fold design, super quick to open n fold it, alu frame, light wt but big capacity, smooth steering, one-brake system, bright colour. Shopping basket bit hard to put or get things out. Only 2 reclining position, if toddler want to sleep, need to sleep with sitting up position. No cup holder. Nowhere to hold small things (like my handbag) on handle . No rain-cover.
