Excellent – Excellent - Expensive, but well worth the money. Never needed repair. Definitely buy again - pity they don't do a sewing machine. Even sewing over the full range of fabrics, can do utility up to very fancy edging. Threading very easy with self threader. Differential feed is excellent help doing curved self roll edges that then sit flat. Can do 4,3 or 2 thread. Can gather top & sew on to flat in one operation. Can feed ribbon & do many things - still learning after a year - many different feet & attachments. Can sew very fast. Good DVD showing tricks & methods. A real treasure chest. Very minor issues - Cover is just soft plastic which fell apart. Handle is behind threads. Noise at top speed makes my mechanic husband flinch but it works well. Difficult to see if the foot is up or down, fouled up some things early on before I got into the habit of checking.

I have had this machine for 2.5 years now. No issues (unlike my Janome QC4900 sewing machine) and no need for service. Have worn out many needles, cutters etc. The light bulb failed a couple of times in the first months and I ended up not replacing it. I am still learning some of the more obscure functions and feet and have become quite creative in garment construction which is saving me lots of time. Cones of thread are very cheap - 2,000m for $3 against $4.75 for 100m spools which makes sewing with the overlocker cheaper, and no bobbins to run out or break part way through the work. Highly recommended - well worth the price.

I've used this machine for several years and just love it - so easy to thread and perfect tension for someone who is not confident on most aspects of the overlocker. Am now ready to upgrade to the Evolve and hope it's just as good.
