Love it – So comfortable! The adjustable straps are great. You can have baby on you comfortable to fit your shape. The height adjustment by cm is a great reassurance to know baby is in the right spot and my first baby carrier didn't have this. Very supportive of the back and shoulders and the waist strap sits up a bit higher which is more comfortable for me… Read more

Love This Product – We loved this baby carrier so much that we bought 2. One for me and one for my husband. Both my kids loved it too. Its not feminine looking either which is great for Dads. I would wear the baby carrier and push my older child in the pram at the same time. I had 2 free hands when wearing it.

Still useful at 1 – I bought my babybjorn miracle when my son was just a week old, and I have used it a lot! As a newborn I used the babybjorn daily carrying him around the house and yard so I could hang out washing and do the dishes etc with a content bub. Once he was past that phase I found it it brilliant for groceries, for quick trips into the shops where you… Read more

don’t want/need to get the pram and nappy bag out, I even vacuum with him in it now as he is afraid of the vacuum unless I’m holding him! He is 11.5 months and 10.5 kg now and I’m still using it, and it is still comfortable.

Good front carrier – I have 4 baby carriers. I walk everyday with my baby and travel overseas a lot so I needed a good carrier. This is my favourite front carrier however it is not my favourite carrier. There are a few things I don't like. Its much more bulky to pack into the car or under the pram. Other carriers such as the Ergo 360 are softer and pack away easier.… Read more

The Bjorn gives you good back support for a font carrier and doesn't pull on your shoulders like others do. The other down side I find with these carriers is that your baby's leg hang straight down which is fine when they are little but when they get bigger they tend to dangle right in front of your legs and get in the way when you walk. So for a forward facing carrier this is my favourite but I prefer the Ergo 360 as its more versatile and better for storage. Having said that the great thing about the Bjorn is that you can adjust the length to suit your baby and it allows you to grow with the baby which is great when they are little. My advice would be if you only get a front carrier get this one, but if you want it it grow into a back carrier go for something like the 360.

Good for a young baby – I have found this good for a newborn as it held them snuggly to me with head support. And it has been good for outward facing baby from about 4/5 months onwards. I find it a bit of a wrestle to get them in and out of it but all doable. I find all the weight is on your back and shoulders though (not hips) so now that baby is bigger, I plan to… Read more

use my ergo carrier instead as they put the weight on your hips and off your shoulders.

I have a sun/wind protector that goes with my bjorn - love it. Keeps the sun off their arms and legs while being carried in WA's sun. But you could readily sew your own version of one by adding some elastic loops to a cotton wrap or similar.

Ok until your baby gets heavier than 8kg – I bought this carrier because of the baby bjorn reputation and I had a summer baby so thought it wound be best to keep him cool. Baby did not like sitting in this carrier until he was around 4 months old. Don't know what it was but he just never settled in there. Between 4 and around 8 months he lived it. and outdoors. I found getting him in and out really quick and easy. Adjustsmenta were easy between my husband and I too. I did find however after he hit the 8 kg mark my back was killing me wearing him. I also found it was a bit of a crotch buster for baby and he would often have nappy leaks because of the pressure in that area. His legs seemed to dangle and he would get red marks on his thighs from the pressure. I did some more research and upgraded to a boba 4G which has a wider seat and can be worn front and back. much better for a heavier baby.

Better than original – I used the original (mesh) for 4 months and loved it compared to other carriers (ring slings, manduca) because it was very easy to put on and my partner and I can take turns without having to do much adjusting. shoulders were very sore after short while. The miracle (mesh) resolved this. Now I wear the straps on shoulder loosely so the weight is mainly carried around my hips. Would definitely recommend to someone who uses everyday but not for too long. I use it to transport baby from carpark to creche and back, need something quick and easy. Occasionally I have also used for shopping (2 hours) but have stroller at same time for when baby is asleep, so my back gets a rest. So unless you plan on carrying baby for more than 2 hours at a time, I would highly recommend. The Manduca is more comfortable on my back but its tedious to put on that its just been lying on the shelf, not used.

A great way to travel with bubs – Absolutely great for babies up to about 18 months. Still easy to use and adjust - it's just that they got too heavy for me to walk long distances carrying them. Not an issue with the BabyBjorn or a design fault - it was just a matter of how long you can hold your child depending on their weight.

Perfect for new born – I really like my BabyBjorn carrier when my baby was little. I think it is great for 0-6 months, we travel a lot in airports and baby was very comfortable, sleeping all the time in it. Then it is OK when baby faces front, but I found it difficult after 10 months, so I got a new carrier that has the back option because the Miracle has not.

Easy to put on, not the most comfortable for bub – I bought a number of different carriers before my son was born (including hug a bub, bubba moe, a mac pac, and baby bjorn) and found that although this one was the most easy to adjust and put on, my son just never seemed that comfortable in it. I think it's because the baby's legs really "hang" in this (I'm comparing to an Ergo that we were just… Read more

leant, which supports their legs in more of a straddle position) and once he got to 4 months and wanted to face out, it really seemed to just be putting all his weight right on the front of his crotch! I constantly felt, in either front or rear facing positions, that I had to help support him with my hands. I only used it a few times. Not worth the money, even when I bought mine in excellent used condition. I would never buy one new.

Pain! – I hate my baby bjorn it was great when my bub was little but now that she is 7 months and 8kgs it absolutely kills my back, neck and shoulders and I can't even wear it for 10 mins without needing to lie down for the rest of the afternoon, and I am young fit and healthy with no preexisting back problems. I just bought and egro and ready i can feel it doesn't put pressure on my back like the bjorn does

Just the best – Bjorn carriers are simply the best! This one has back support and IS SO EASY TO USE. Like all of their products I originally bought the Ergo Carrier and was so disappointed. The Ergo is ridiculously difficult to use and does not suit a new born, even with the insert. Bjorn is flipping great from birth and we don't need assistance to put it on :D

Absolutely Brilliant – I cannot say enough good things about this particular carrier. Excellent support across my back and the best thing for me is that I don't smother baby. Excellent for newborns and gentle on the back – This is a fantastic carrier which I have used from birth. It is great that you don't need an additional insert for a newborn which is why I ended up choosing this over an ERGO. It is so easy to adjust the straps, just a quick pull. Although as I am quite skinny the tightest setting is still a bit loose for me so the baby was not snuggles up against me as much as I would have liked. Was still perfectly suitable though even when she was brand new (Although she was 9pounds at birth so she was by no means a small baby!).

Simple to do up and undo and you always feel as though the baby is securely strapped in. I didn't feel the need to constantly have a hand on her just in case, and was comfortable using both hands to do other tasks.

Once she was able to face outwards it was a bit tricky getting the head flap to stay bent downwards-would be good to have a little button or some way of keeping it down as every so often my daughter would get the world blocked out by the flap flipping back up haha

I would definitely;y recommend this to anyone looking to buy a baby carrier. Lightweight, easy to get baby in and out, can use from newborn without additional inserts It is slightly to big for me as I am quite slim, so I can't tighten it enough to keep baby really close against me, expensive if bought new and not on sale

too. With a dog to walk at least once a day this carrier has been a lifesaver and something I recommend as a must have.

It seems like my baby is never happier than when in the BB Miracle carrier. He sleeps soundly and most importantly safely - he is able to breathe easily without the risk of smothering (a concern I have with some of the other brands on the market). The back support means that the baby's weight is distributed on your hips not just your shoulders - infact it is totally comfortable regardless of your height. The adjustable harness allows you to quickly modify the carrier for adults of all sizes.

Living in a small space we have been keen to limit how much "baby stuff" we accumulate. The BB Miracle Carrier is a necessity and one I will not be giving away in a hurry! High quality, lightweight and easy to use

as your child increases in weight.

When you have a third child you seem to accumulate an enormous amount of baby related devises and hand me downs and I must have more than half a dozen carriers of various types. They are mainly the softer sling style and I must say not one of them has been of any use in comparison to the Baby Bjorn Miracle carrier.

The features that make a big difference include the fastening on and off – which is straightforward and feels very safe. The position of the baby to your body is correct and feels extremely natural from new born up until heavier, and the adjustment is simple.

I have found that as small babies all my children felt safe and comfortable enough to sleep in the carrier if need be, and this was extremely useful when travelling or going to an event where a pram was tricky.

Perhaps one of the most useful aspects is how easily adjustable the size is for the carrying adult. I’m only 5”2 but my husband is over 6” and we both found the Miracle carrier really comfortable and easy to use.

Its great too that it lasts for the whole period of being a baby. Quite a lot of carriers will work while your child is tiny but are soon defunct as the baby reaches 5-6 months. All my children have loved being turned around when their necks were strong enough to watch the outside world or turned back around when they were still little or tired.

From a mum who has tried many carriers the Baby Bjorn Miracle is by far the best. Fastening, easily adjustable, length of time you can use it Can be a little fiddly when you first use - but it soon becomes second nature

daughter close to us.

After lots of research I was torn between two carriers but ended up deciding to go with the Baby Bjorn Miracle Carrier (which is the newer refined model) and my husband and I were not disappointed. We bought the black mesy carrier as it would be much cooler for baby during the warmer times. It is easy to put on after a practice go and easy to put on and put baby in it by yourself. We like that you don't have to buy any additional inserts, its very supportive for our backs (considering my husband and I do have lower back aches), the skin to skin contact, baby can be facing towards you or outwards (we like that baby can be outward facing to watch the world go by), its suitable for newborns, baby fits comfortably and falls straight to sleep once in the carrier. The carrier is ideal for newborns (3.5kgs) to 15 months (12kgs) however you can not use this carrier on your back, this wasn't an issue for us as we only want to use it until when our daughter is about 1 year and prefer baby to be in front for the closeness and bonding.

We would definitely recommend this carrier! Easy to put on, skin to skin contact, great back support, baby loves it! Expensive $229 at Toys R Us.

baby bjorn vs ergo – well i wanted to get a carrier for our baby who was 6 weeks.the thing i was most concerned with wss something that would be good on my back..i have a horrible lower back from pregnancy and something comfotable for baby..the two most popular were baby bjorn and ergo.. i originally wanted to purchase an ergo..i liked the sound of it..it seemed more… Read more ·  2

natural. good for the back apparently and you could carry a baby for longertime..all the reviews said they were comfortable..anyway went to the store and tried the ergo..adjusted it and got the help of a store assistant..you know what..it was really quite uncomfortable and within 5 mins my lower back was hurting..i think this is because the baby sits a bit away from you in a seated position which is good for their hips..but the extra weight (even with a newborn) pulls down on your back..i was really dissapointed as i wanted to buy an ergo and went in to try it 2 other times..still no good..i happened to try the baby bjorn miracle as the rep was there..the miracle in mesh was fantastic!!!

the miracle: baby felt very light..close to my body..not hanging away..

the back has alot of support..alot more than the erg. the back can be easily adjusted so weight is tranfered onto the hips back or shoulders or evenly between them all..super easy to put baby in and out of..can do it easily within seconds without assistance..especially handy when you have a screaming child or sleeping bubba..this is actually really important because i have found when a carrier takes longer to put on im alot less inclined to use it..(i used to have a free form material wrap..which i found took time to wrap..and i found had this issue) ...it is so quick to put on and get baby in and out of that i will put it on just on our trip to and from the car..so i have free hands to carry more stuff .hold my little boys hand.etc.

i felt very comfortable and could easily walk with baby for hours..baby absolutley loves it and falls asleep listening to my heart beat...baby can be held up high on your chest or down lower..material is really soft, light and breathable..ergo was more like a heavy canvas which got hot straight away particularly with the insert for a newborn you must have..which was hard to work out also..ergo was hard to put on by myself also and harder to get baby in and out of..the miracle although expensive is absolutly fantastic..i have a whole new world opened up to me where i can clean..shop..go up and down stairs..without a bulky pram..baby sleeps alot better and will often fall asleep within 5 mins..its lovely because she is so close to me the whole time.

so here is a comparison

comfort and back support

miracle: great..lots of support..weight can be put on shoulders back or hips or spread evenly between them all

ergo: not great..its basically like carrying a backpack on your front..most weight is on the shoulders and lower back (this is my experience..maybe there is a way to adjust this..but i certainly tried and couldnt find how)

baby position

ergo: natural sitting position..it is apparently better for babys hips..not as comfortable for me as baby hung away a bit..and caused strain on my back...my baby was not as comfy in the insert which was hot and awkwrd ..but still eventually fell asleep..baby can be carried on front hips and back..but cannot face forwad.

miracle: baby lies flat against your body and head against your chest...but apparently not as great for their hips as they get heavier as weight is on their crouch..baby can be carried to face forward..but can only be carried on the front

ease of use

miracle: very simple..smooth..very secure clips and lthis is one of its greatest features..atches..2 simple steps really..takes about 4 seconds..adjustments are smooth and easy even when wearing baby..just pulling straps..

ergo: more tricky and awrkward but still do-able..harder to get baby in and out by yourself..i would say takes a few minutes..rather than seconds..

length of use

miracle can be used till 15 months..but i have heard after aroung 6 months you do start to notice strain on your back when you have been wearing it for a while

ergo: this might be where the ergo wins..as you can use it on the bsck babys can be carried for alot longer..maybe carrying an older baby is more comfy in the ergo..i never tried..but a younger baby is definately easier in the miracle..

cost

miracle: around 180 is about the cheapest youll find them atm

ergo: about 150 + 40 for the insert..but second hand you can get the standard withou insert for around 70

overall i definately love the bjorn in terms of comfort..back support and ease of use.it is very comfortable..i love it and easily feel secure ebough to use both hands freely.ergo was not comfy for me.and baby did not feel as secure it it.still felt i needed my hands close to the baby...it might be a better chice as baby gets older to use as a back carrier... very comfottable for my back..no strain..comfy for baby.very quick.easy to put baby in and out..soft light material expensive but worth it!

the Synergy. I just wish it wasn't so ridiculously expensive ($150 for a mesh carrier mass produced in Latvia, c'mon!), I wish it came in other colors (navy, red, olive, like the Actives), and I wish Bjorn would finally develop waist support so the baby's weight wasn't carried so much on the parent's shoulders and back.
