although now not importing this model its parts are all available which are still basic same as on many models, its a 20year plus machine which Id say maybe only if boiler went which can be replaced, by last bezzera lasted 16years I only upgraded the model for looks as was only the boiler slight signs of decay . Was from Di Bartoli at their then Bondi junction shop.
Still going strong after 11 years – Money well spent for this beautiful machine. Still going strong after 11 years! Great coffee every time and steamer super quick. Everyone who sees my machine loves the stainless steel and curved metal. Show details
Great coffee, good machine but not perfect – When I bought my Bezzera, I did not want to be replacing it or upgrading anytime soon. I figured the $900-odd I could have spent buying an appliance branded plastic machine that might only last 3-5 yrs would be better put towards something that will last and can be easily repaired or re-conditioned in 5-10 yrs time. In this respect the Bezzera… Read more
ticks all the boxes, as do most similar Italian/German machines.
It's a great machine & I do like it, and I’m now consistently producing pretty good coffees (better than I can buy locally). I also bought a package deal with a grinder which swayed me away from another machine I was considering; plus I got a second grinder for decaf which has proved to be a good decision.
As much as I do like it, the Bezzera is not perfect… It’s quite noisy and sometimes emits a squealing sound especially when using the blind filter for back-flushing.I’ve researched this and it seems to be a trait of this machine, though not detrimental. When the warranty expires I’ll be doing some homework on making it quieter such as adding sound dampening material inside the cabinet walls.
I suspect the machine specs must have been written by the marketing people… If you can get anywhere near four litres of water into the supposed “4L tank” you’re doing better than me. I realise figures can be rubbery, but to say a container that only holds, say 3.2L of water is a “4L tank” is just plain misleading. So as far as tank capacity is concerned it is really much the same as other heat exchanger machines, most of which advertise a 2-3 litre tank.
However the machine looks stunning and is a talking point in our kitchen. It works, and produces terrific coffee (assuming fresh quality beans), and I'm confident it will do for many years to come, with appropriate maintenance of course.
Perfect coffee everytiime !!!! – My first review for any product, but had this machine for 3 mths and its been fantastic, was tossing up between the giotto and this machine. In the end chose this one because it has a large 4lt tank and 2 lt boiler and it can make plenty of espressos and i think it looks a lot better than the giotto.. Bought it s a bundle package with a macap grinder through casaespressoaust in melb Show details
Unreliable from day 1 – Repeated repairs, great when it feels like working, just trying to get a refund and buy something else at this point. Buyer beware, make sure you buy it from a seller who will back it up and repair because if they go wrong, they can go really wrong. Absolute junk. Show details
Best machine Ever ! Money well spent – Never written a review before but this machine is so good I just had to. Fantastic machine delivers perfect coffee every time. Don't bother looking around for any other machine this one have it all. I use it with a Compak K3 grinder a perfect combination. The only thing I regrett is that I did not buy it sooner.
Excellent – Outstanding product. Very reliable. Top of range of domestic machine really it is not domestic machine but semi commercial machine for domestic application Stunning quality of finish. Makes great espresso, quality frothing even 1 liter jug Not cheap
Excellent Machine - More than you'll ever need – Our Bezzera DG has been around for about 6 months now and all I can say is I wish I didn't dither in buying it in the first place. Rarely buy a coffee now, as odds are it'll not be as good as the one I can make myself! Amazing machine: ample steam (more than ever required); big, convenient tank, exceptional built quality (best I've seen on… Read more
