Beach House Health & Fitness

Love the Beachhouse! – I stay at the Beachhouse, Coolangatta nearly every year. The apartments are well designed, with a beach view from every apartment, which is fabulous. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. If we have a request for something to be done, it is seen to very promptly. Nothing is too much trouble. I would thoroughly recommend this holiday.

Good – My Tasmanian gym is great. It's a good basic gym that doesn't try to be fancy at great cost. The kid's classes offered last year were great value and enjoyed by my son. I enjoy going there and feel I'm getting value for my money. Very local gym with great parking; very clean, doesn't smell sweaty; great range of equipment; excellent trainer who put me at my ease and didn't try to measure me with calipers; good price. The staff could be a little more interactive, just coming over and asking how things are going, it gets lonely on the treadmill sometimes.

Terrible – This club is an absolute rippoff. The Chirnside Park Vic club offered discount membership in August 2008 (15 month memberships). The club suddenly closed down in Dec 2008 and sent a letter advising that Beach House had breached its rent conditions and that they would advise when a new location was secured. Nothing since then. The Head Office is no longer there and it would seem that Beach House has gone into receivership (even though a few clubs still continue). I will never prepay an annual membership again (or even use a gym again) as this seems to be a too common occurrence nowadays. Good One Beach House - just another name for major rippoff

Terrible – When i first joined the gym i was very happy because there was a ladies only section. But when i went to get my program for training i was told that i needed to get blood pressure test done and then come back, this annoyed me because i was not able to start a program there and then. About 2 months after paying to join and paying the monthly fees i moved 3 hour away and wanted to cancell membership, i had to pay a cancellation fee which frustrated me because when i joined up i specifically asked if there would be a cancellation fee and i was told no! Ladies only section Did not like the missinformation i was given

Excellent – I've been a member of Beach House for about 3 months now and am really enjoying it. I moved to a new area and had to find a new gym, I had about 5 gyms within 10 minutes of home and I went with Beach House. They have modern equipment, friendly staff and it is just a really positive environment to work out in. All group classes are included in your membership, as are regular fitness assessments. I pay about $50 per month and that is pretty reasonable. It's never too busy early morning, and I've never had to wait for a machine. Overall - Excellent!! Friendly staff, modern equipment, reasonable rates
