The Dream Machine (aka The Witch) – Purchased this machine 3 months ago after deciding to upgrade from another lever machine. Absolutely love it .. and combine it with a Compak K3 Touch grinder worth $550. This machine cost me $3k (RRP $3.5k) .. and worth every dollar, as I now don't have to upgrade ever again. The lever has a strong spring but I'd reckon most Women would be able to manage it .. if you are 5 foot tall and petite .. I'd give it a miss. This machine is like the BMW of lever machines .. it's not the Rolls Royce but is right up there with the best .. and represents great value for money.

November 13th 2017 Update: When only the best will do

Purchased my dream machine 11 months ago and over the Moon with its performance.

I had a smaller lever machine before and like the hands on feel of the levers.

This baby cost me $3,000 and worth every dollar. Naturally I started off with cheap 2nd hand machines ... a new Sunbeam ... and more 2nd hand machines before getting over the unreliability of Coffee Machines off eBay ... and went for new ones. The first new machine was a $200 Sunbeam ... then a $1200 (worth $1,500) that I imported from Italy, and this one purchased locally. Couldn't be happier ... this one is a keeper and no longer need to upgrade.

Superb coffee ... as that is what it is all about ... what ends up in the cup.

Just to add ... before taking possession the Mater thermostat was faulty and was replaced. After 15 months ... 3 past the warranty period, the Mater thermostat died. Cost me $177 to have it replaced. Next time I will buy a Mater $50 ... and fit it myself, or better still ... find a different brand ... as these appear a bit ordinary. It only made one or sometimes 2 coffees a day ... and turned it off after using ... so the thermostat didn't do a massive amount of work ... although they probably do if you were to leave the machine on every day where the thermostat switches on and off every couple of minutes. That is a lot in a 12 month period ... so maybe it is the weakest link in the otherwise solid chain.
