Quiet and quick – Dehydrator is so quiet compared to my previous one. Very easy to use, great to be able to look at produce through clear door, now I just have to perfect my timing so that fruit is not too dry. Highly recommend for value, efficiency and quietness. Not what I expected – The machine worked well but I don’t think it was what I wanted. I had hoped for crunchy veggies but got pliable leathery veggies. Perhaps I wanted freeze dried? Great while it was working – I have had my dehydrator for around 14 months, using it maybe once a fortnight to make chicken jerky for our dog. It worked really nicely. indicated that for all warranty claims, cost to return the unit for repairs are the responsibility of the buyer and these costs will likely not be reimbursed. That's bad business already as far as I'm concerned.

Not as good as i hoped. Use a older version at work and live it. Not enjoying this purchase – Does not dehydrated evenly. Very hard to clean. Use a older version at work and love it. The 10 tray for 340 dollars is disappointing. Not happy with it at all. Dont know why the a newer product is inferior to oldet version. trays are fantastic, very easy to clean. I upgraded from the white circular sunbeam machine (which was terrible and noisy). This one is very quiet compared to that. Very happy with this purchase, definitely recommend it to others. Looking forward to making plenty more batches of jerky and other dried fruit.

which we took hiking, it was amazing. Our 12 year old daughter has been making fruit leathers for her school lunches, fantastic. There is always the stash of banana or apple in the cupboard now for Monday lunches when the fruit bowl is looking a little empty. It is so quiet we have been doing it in our dining room with no need to close doors like we did with our old one. It is also a lot lighter than i expected so we have been putting it away in a cupboard when not in use as we don't have a lot of bench space.

Great workmanship, great product – The BioChef 6 tray that we purchased works every time. Made some great beef jerky, which was our main reason for purchasing, and now looking to expand into fruits and vegies. Ease of operation, and ease of access are good. Good model for home dehydrating – I have enjoyed trying different fruits and veggies but Would like more recipes that are specific to makes vegie chips and also some crackers including times. Arizona 6 Tray Dehydrator. Good Product – Happy with Dehydrator, Fan and heating element in the back, Even distribution of heat/ flowing air. I also use for making Yogurt, Cultured Vegetables, Raising Bread Dough etc. Motor needed replacement under the 2 year Warranty period, Might be rare. dehydrator 8 shelves – never used one before liked the fact this one had metal shelves, even after having a faulty product, the service and shipment on a replacement one was great. little nervous incase it has the same issues. Froth and bits – We have been using it for few months now. Usually take 30 mins to make a 2L with cutting the veg and fruit to small pieces, so it doesn't clog up, and strain it twice. We got use to it I guess. Would be good to have one can produce juice without froth and bits though, is there?  Show details

considered to be the best one in the world but i think there can't be much difference. The only thing that's missing here is a timer ( that's the advantage of Excalibur). That's not absolutely necessary but would be very convenient to have it. Kids also love this dehydrator and sometimes eat straight from the trays - can't wait for me to take the food out. In a nutshell, great appliance ... for the way we eat ....

Love my dehydrator! – This dehydrator has become a staple appliance in our house hold. I make yummy raw food from muesli to fruit leathers to stock powder. I have a 10 tray Biochef – I purchased a 10 tray which should have included 6 silicone mats. I phoned to ask there whereabouts and was told they would be in the next post. Two months later my wife phoned and was told they were still in production. We are still waiting and we're not very happy.  Show details

didn't last long and cost so much to return – I bought this thinking expensive is better but 5 months in fan died then had to spend $60 to send it back for repair lucky it was under warranty but said in the fine print that i have to cover postage and then I have to wait a week for it to get to them then another 2 weeks for them to diagnose the issue then they returned it fixed but with a chip… Read more

in the plastic and I was without a dehydrator for a month they were not taking responsibility that a machine that expensive should last a lot longer than 5 months and it shouldn't just stop. The whole point of going expensive it to not have to send it back. Now I'm concerned it will die again and I'll have to keep spending $60 to send it back every time and then even more concerned once it's out of warranty in a few months:( I'm really disappointed with the quality considering how expensive it is.

Love it! And so does my dog, he howled for more after I made him liver treats – Easy to use, doesn't use very much electricity (none because we have solar) and it's not too big. Makes the best beef jerky! – I purchased this for my boyfriend for his birthday. We had never made beef jerky before but it turns out perfect! It gets used weekly and its so easy to use and clean. Been awesome so far – Our first dehydrator but it certainly is living up to all the reviews and expectations. If you are dehydrating chilli it is worth doing it outside or in a garage, gets a bit spicy inside the house if you don't. Mainly used so far for healthy crispy crackers and kale chips (lots of recipes online and demos on YouTube), will try making my own yoghurt next. Using stainless steel trays is also essential. Plastic won't do if you are looking to maintain your health.

Overall, it's fun, easy and great value for money!

Great for jerky – We have only used it for beef jerky and it works really well. Cleaning is easy- dishwasher. The only fault is that one or two of the wires on the trays have come off and they get caught when sliding the tray in/out. Otherwise very good. Timer would be good.  Show details ·  2

Fabulous addition! – Everything I've dried has been a total success. From cherry tomatoes to pineapples! Love this new addition to my kitchen. Easy, reliable and perfect for jerky – Works great. Spacious, easy to clean. Just missing a timer but I use the oven timer. Would definitely recommend to anyone sitting on the fence. Excellent machine – Makes the perfect jerky. With six trays it makes enough for everyone. Easy to operate, easy to clean stainless steel trays and light weight, but sturdy. Great dehydrator – I'm very happy with this product. Can't stop dehydrating :) It is an ideal size, not too noisy, and it looks good in my kitchen.
