This smartphone was a great option for me, as i can't use a touch screen! – I was originally leaning towards an HTC Wildfire or similar but after trying touch screen phones out in retail stores, I just couldn't get the hang of the touch screens as I like to keep my finger nails very long. This smartphone has it all for me - a good camera, ease of use with the nice keyboard & online access. It was relatively inexpensive as… Read more

i bought it online & I use it prepaid. For the Y generation it probably doesn't have all the bells & whistles but for me a gen Xer - it's perfectly adequate for me. Style, inexpensive, nice keyboard

Was good till it started to fall apart! – My husband and I both have Blackberries so we were able to message each other for free. That was fantastic! Text messaging was easy as the keys are the same as a computer keyboard. That is until my Blackberry free messenger disappeared from my phone random one evening! Vodafone had no idea what was wrong and how to fix it. They asked for me to… Read more

back everything up and then they will try to fix it. UM....that means I will need to buy an USB cable from them to back everything up. I was feeling pretty fed up with the lack of customer service but that's a whole different review! Both my husband's Blackberry Bold and my Blackberry Curve have had issues and our 2 year contract is almost up in the coming year so we're just going to put up with broken phones just a little bit longer.

Another problem I encountered was the charger. The phone is so poorly made. I have to jiggle and wiggle the cord so it's charging in a certain angle for the charge to work. It would charge and then not charge on its own...switching between night mode and day mode.

The camera is ok but we didn't buy the phone for its camera anyway. The quality is quite grainy compared to the Bold...but it is functional. Also unlike the Bold, this one doesn't come with flash so make sure you take photos in well-lit area. It has a brightness indicator as well letting you know if it's too dark. The zoom function is useless as it relies on the toggle/cursor....which is now a little bit broken.

I understand all phones have their good and bad days but between my husband's phone and mine, there were just way too many issues. We can't wait till our 2 year contract is over so we can switch phones!! Free with 2 year sign up, worked for the 1st year, free Blackberry to Blackberry IM (when functional), keyboard like keys Blackberry IM disappeared from phone, did not come with USB cord to backup your data, poorly made, doesn't charge properly, toggle/cursor easy to break

Bad – I do not recommend this phone. It is so light and plasticky, it's almost a joke. I still prefer the old Blackberry curves, which feels much more solid in the hand. New user interface which is very similar to bold. Keyboard is ok. Key spacing is fine. Screen contrast and colour is good. Phone is too light. Very plastic. It doesn't feel… Read more

substantial in the hand.

It seems like it will break easily.

The trackpad is not as accurate as the roller ball.

Screen sits flush with the front face of the phone, so it can be scratched easily.

OK – This would be a great phone if it has 3G, camera flash and over 2 mega pixel camera. These specifications should be standard on all phones at this period. If you are looking for a blackberry that offers good design but you don't need 3G for fast internet browsing and don't need the camera to take good photo, this would be a good phone for you.… Read more

Good value for money. Nice design and strong built. The trackpad navigation is actually more responsive than my Blackberry Bold. The keyboard is well design and easy to text. No 3G. No camera Flash. No GPS. Only 2 mega pixel camera. The camera offers extremely low photo quality in dim light.

Excellent – I highly recommend this Blackberry for people new to Blackberrys. Easy to use an setup. Great KeyPad and TrackPad. Excellent Phone. This being my first Smartphone it is an easy phone to setup and use. The screen is very large and the colours are great. The Menu of this Blackberry Is customisable which is great if you want to hide certain things… Read more

from view. In my opinion the TrackPad on Blackberrys are better than the TrackBalls as the TrackPad does not stick. The QWERTY keyboard is an excellent addition to this phone as it makes it easier to type TXT messages and browse the web. One of the only things I dont like about this Smartphone is that the Alt and Shift keys are opposite to a regular computer keyboard.
