Not worth the space – Fortunately we didn't purchase this dishwasher as it was already installed when we began renting. This dishwasher was installed in 2008, and 5 years later in 2013 it finally kicked the bucket. Probably just our unit and I'm sure others have had much better luck with the reliability of theirs. It isn't the breakdown that annoyed me though. I ended up very rarely using this dishwasher, because I could never mix my washes.

Normal temperature was too hot for my delicate items, but too cold for my more heavy duty items. So it'd sit and wait until I had enough frying pans to put in. And even then, I'd end up having to wash most of them again because even a heavy wash cycle wouldn't wash them properly (worth noting that my new dishwasher washes the same things perfectly on a normal cycle.)

I can't begin to count how many glasses and other more delicate items I lost to this dishwasher before I finally gave up using it for them. Broken glass after broken glass after broken glass. I'm not sure the internal water temperature controls even worked most of the time.

The filter. Oh the filter. I had to clean the thing after every wash. And boy did it stink. I could never keep this machine clean inside.

The stainless steel finish was poor at best. Water stains wouldn't budge, no matter how hard we tried.

Noise was very loud, but I only have my new dishwasher to really compare that with, so not sure if it's out of the ordinary.

All in all, not worth the money or space. Quality issues aside, you can get a far nicer looking and better featured dishwasher for the price.

Didn't wash dishes well, broke delicates regularly, hard to keep clean

Inexpensive, simple and quality machine – We've been really happy with this machine so far. It cleans well and we've had no problems. Glasses are nice and streak free and dishes are good as long as the machine is loaded properly. It hardly seems to use any rinse aid, which seems to last for ages between top ups, but always produces a nice result. We chose this machine because it was nice and simple with no electrics to go wrong. So there are no fancy gizmos - if you are into that thing , look elsewhere - we figured that the more complicated the machine is the more likely it is to have a problem (eventually) and more costly to repair.

What it does have is a simple dial which lets you select: 1 rinse, 2 Eco, 3 normal, or 4 pots, An on/off button, and a start button. We generally leave it on normal cycle, so we simply turn the machine on and press start .... Simple.

The filter is a nice design, which is easy to access and remove, and seems to let the bigger bits of gunk get rinsed out without clogging it up.

We did notice on the display model the dial had broken (the plastics on the dial and buttons does not seem to be the highest quality). This was not a concern to us, as it would have been caused by customers and kids mucking around with it. As we have found, we hardly use the dial at home because it is generally left on normal cycle. You will not break it at home, and if you were that clumsy, you probably should stay out of the kitchen. Still, it loses one star for the plastics and dial. Simple interface, cleans well, looks good. No electronic bling (a pro or a con depending on what your priorities are) The plastics on the dials are on the cheap side. No electronic bling
