Great dishwasher but watch out for the repairs – We have a Blanco kitchen, but we have just had a quote to repair the door springs on our dishwasher. $140 call out fee plus repairs and parts by their authorise repairers. Not sure what we are going to do when the oven and microwave need to be serviced? Who said highway robbers were outlawed. Best bet is to buy Fisher and Paykel who have reasonable service costs. When it works it's the best – Agree with other comments here, our dishwasher was amazing when working but....... I'd NEVER buy one again. We only use the dishwasher at weekends when we have a big crowd over and our dishwasher is like brand new inside and out in its appearance, even the technician agreed it's had little use. Now that the electrics have gone will cost more to… Read more
fix than get a new one.
We don't consider we have had our money's worth out of this appliance. It probably wouldn't have been used more than 20 times. AVOID AT ALL COSTS Never buy Blanco. I thought they were a superior brand......NO NO NO
I've never had a problem with mine – My family and I have never had any problems with our Blanco. It's quiet, the dishes are well cleaned and dry quickly and the cycle we use consistently only takes an hour. A bit quirky, but my favourite feature is the cutlery basket design, the way the base holds the forks and tips of the knives away from my expensive stone benchtops so that when… Read more
I place the full basket on the bench above the cutlery drawer they fork tines and knife tips don't chip the bench.
Good design and washes and dries well! – Purchased this 3 months ago in a Blanco cooking pack. Decent wash cycle on eco - however when using the intensive 70 degrees cycle this dishwasher washes brilliantly all the time. The fan dry works on the intensive wash which makes everything come out dry enough to put straight in the cupboards. I haven't used the 1/2 load function before so I can't say much on that. Overall happy with my purchase without spending a fortune!
Excellent wash and drying! – Easy to use, washes well and dries well especially on the intensive 70 degrees cycle. Build quality is definitely better than my previous 'Made in China' dishwasher. Everything holds up well, baskets slide properly, sprayers spin properly and most importantly it dries extremely well! On a side note I noticed this model has the condenser fan dry whereas the base model does not. This would explain why mine dries really well!
No No no – We loved this dishwasher.Note the past tense.2 years and 2 months it lasted then the pump called it quits..Looking at some of the reviews they must make a noisy and a quiet model.Ours was very quiet. Now it's completely silent.........
Only Average – After 13 months wouldn't start, rang customer service, informed that the pumps leaking, therefore shuts off, solution , slide it out, turn off power & water, tip it at 45 degrees for approx. 30 seconds, give it an occasional shake," Don't drop it " then restart it. Been doing this every 3 - 4 months, replacing the pump & service repair costs a… Read more
fortune Plus waiting time. Also they are probably the loudest washer on the market, but i can't fault the cleaning & drying results, better than my Bosch.
'Because Life's Meant To Be Easy' BLANCO Solgan – Originally I thought this was a fantastic buy, my first ever Dishwasher. Used nicely for less than 6 month and then it was placed into Storage for 12 months (due to an overseas posting). Only had it back for less than 8 months and the electrical cord needs to be replaced (it's tripped all my power) had a sparky come check it out. He advised it… Read more
will be cheaper to get repaired than to replace the Dishwasher. I feel a little Ripped off to be honest. Its not a cheap washer, so I would have thought it would of lasted a good 7 plus years before any sort of problems (if not any). I still have had no response or reply from BLANCO, not very good Customer Service if you ask me. I score a 4 Star on the appearance, functions, quietness and I'm hoping if I repair the cord it will give me no more issues (one can only hope), otherwise a standard 3 Quietness and Functions Nothing except only a short use until started to trip all my other power
Don't buy if you – When the dishwasher is working it is a dream - break down and you have BIG issues. Our dishwasher was just on a year old when all the electrics went. We waited 3 weeks just for the spare parts to arrive, not all the parts were sent, emails sent through the website went unanswered, there is no address for Blanco where you can send complaints, the… Read more
repairer was hopeless, ... the saga just went on and on. Nice dishwasher but beware. Really quiet Sevice is appalling
blanco dishwasher – would not buy one.Our one the pump when after 10 month ,waited 10 weeks for new pump, repairman came to replace the pump and blew up pcb waiting 2 more week so far. I will not buy a blanco dishwasher again, for two reason the no good and the service is the same service
Dont bother buying one – We purchased our dishwasher to compliment the new kitchen in Nov 2011 Due to building issues it wasn't installed until Mar 2012 so as of today it has had about 6 months use every second day. It freezes during cycles and currently wont run through any mode. Quite often i have had to cancel the program and switch off the machine for 24 hours to… Read more
reset it before i can start it again.
One time it sat there stuck part way through a cycle humming away to itself for 12 hours while we were out - lucky it didn't burn the house down.
I will not leave the machine unattended now due to fears that it will catch alight or do something drastic. I will be switching back to Dishlex once they are on sale again after christmas.
I noticed someone mentioned quiet. Ours sounds like a freight train at full speed. I have had 4 dishwashers (different brands) over the years and this is the noisest i have encountered.
On the plus side, when it washes, it does a reasonable job and the adjustable drawers are a good feature. Good wash and adjustable drawers Everything - the list is too long
Love, love, love this dishwasher – Our old dishwasher died a few months ago and we were hesitant to spend a lot of money on a new one as we will be selling our house soon. I did a lot of research into the cheaper models - under $500 and although they looked good on specs, when I saw them in person, they were cheap and nasty. This one was a little more than I wanted to spend, but… Read more · 5
I'm so happy I did. I love the functionality of the baskets. The top basket is height adjustable and has an additional piece that can be moved around to secure long stem glasses firmly. The lower baskets back racks lie flat at the touch of a button for pots and pans and there is an additional rack/shelf attached to the back of the basket that flips up and is perfect for big sharp knives that won't fit in the cutlery basket. The 1 hour normal wash cycle is a dream for when your time poor or if like me, you use every dish in the house when you cook and it takes multiple loads to clean them all. The dishes come out lovely and clean even when my husband stacks it (he doesn't rinse) and they are dry except for the plastics. My one complaint is the anti flood device fitted to the water inlet hose is about 3 inchs high and will not fit though a normal access hole, but that aside, this is an excellent machine at a great price. 1 hour normal wash. Great basket design. Great clean. Anti flood device fitted to end of the inlet hose is too big to fit though a normal access hole.
Efficient and super quiet operation equals fantastic product – We recently purchased this Dishwasher and couldn't be happier with it. The dishes come out sparkling clean everytime, and with adjustable drawers, there is anything that won't fit into it. We have run it at night on occasion and are thoroughly impressed with how quiet the machine is. Efficient and Quiet Operation. The instruction manual is a little vague.

Know better, choose better.
Great features and good value for money – It is a quiet machine, with good features such as adjustable height on the upper tray and adjustable rows on the bottom tray (to allow pans and pots) and also time delay, so you can set it before you go to bed and have it done and ready to empty in the morning. Great value for money at $660. Inexpensive, quiet, good features. Stainless steel front easily gets dirty and is a bit hard to clean, but that's probably normal with ss.
Excellent dishwasher, recommended – I did a lot of online research to replace my Whirlpool which had died after three years. Most of the new dishwashers take two hours or more to do a proper wash cycle. Most that have short cycles only rinse, or don't dry. I'm too busy and have too many dishes to wait two hours plus for a cycle to complete. This Blanco is one of few dishwashers that… Read more
has a 1 hour cycle. It gets the dishes very clean in that time, and the dishes are also dry. It has a very cool large knife rack and the interior space is well designed and I seem to be able to get more in it. They only downside is that the cutlery container lid doesn't fit ANY of my cutlery. It's nothing fancy - just Matthew Williams but the bottoms and tops of all knives, forks and spoons are too wide to fit in the lid sections. So I have had to take the lid off. It still works but you don't get the separation that ensures a proper clean. The price for a European appliance was cheap ($610 at The Good Guys). cleans the dishes, a useful one hour cycle lid sections on the cutlery container doesn't fit standard cutlery
