Blaupunkt Oslo DAB+

Very good sound – I must say I am very pleased with radio but 00.com.au who I bought radio from advertised the wrong price and I feel I was cheated .I know recommended retail price is around $89 because I've checked other sites. They tried to say RRP was $149, which is the blue ray one,if I receive blue ray I will be very happy otherwise I feel I was cheated by $60.can you reinstate me or preferably send me the blue ray.thank you for taking an interest. Cant believe it took me so long to get DAB – My first dabble into dab. I wanted something with stereo and a bit of power and this unit seemed to offer it. Does it what! Clarity and sufficient volume for most listening requirements. Its not going to rock a party but personal listening is awesome. Like listening to CDs but its radio. And no need to chew up internet data as the dab apps do.

Makes a great clock radio with its 2 alarms. Biggest issue is radio sounds so good you want to lay in bed and listen.

I've heard friends DAB radios and one sound as good as this one. I listened to some in Dick Smith before buying this and only the very expensive Sony models sounded near as good.

The Blaupunkt is a really good value unit.

Finally... little to no static - and love digital radio! – We live in the inner west of sydney and with most radios in our home they are difficult to tune properly. I had become tolerant of constant annoying static in even local stations. This was exacerbated by the planes flying low overhead. I thought digital tuning and dab+ digital radio might fix it... Fix it this radio did... Hoorah! It tunes perfectly, has many options (why would i even consider am or fm these days? :<) i have become of big fan of abc jazz and love the infrequency of interruptions. Nice! I especially like the signal strength indicator option in the display and having date and time automatically updated via dab - i never have to re-set my clock again.

My first unit (bought from oo) had a low level buzz always. I did a fair amount of troubleshooting yet, as always, they were no hassles, no fuss with a rapid replacement. My second unit works perfectly. No buzz at all.

The save to memory function took some time to work out... Resorted to reading the pdf online manual and even then it was finicky. This too was fully functional on the second unit (not the first). Seems i initially had a lemon.

There are at least two models - one has bluetooth and a usb port (very handy for keeping a mobile charged and paired you may play music from any portable device through the speakers). I think its worth the extra - yet even the basic model is good if all you want is a cheap but functional radio.

I'm already considering another unit for the workshop... And maybe the kitchen! Superb sound, good looks, space saving, great value for money Initial set-up of favourite stations seems finicky, would find a volume remote handy.
