me I don’t fish so I couldn’t tell you. I couldn’t believe that! So it was like the blind leading the blind. Then the guy tried to show me how to use the fishfinder and had no idea, didn’t know how it worked and didn’t know why it wasn’t working properly. But nothing was done and we were sent on our way. I know it was broken because it was reading Half a metre depth and when I put the rod in to find out if that was accurate I couldn’t even touch the bottom. And no, we weren’t moving. We were at anchor.. without any direction on where to take the family fishing, We packed up early and dropped the boat off early and just left. Very very very bad Experience. I will be posting this on all the forums so people know that these guys have no idea what they’re talking about about And really don’t care about your experience.

Terrible customer service – Had an extremely poor customer service with the Boab Boat hire team from Port Stephens/Soldiers Point. notice. Apparently, they offered both my boats to someone else. These guys do not care about customer service and are driven by greed.

RUN as fast as you can – RUN, dodgiest boat hire business I've ever dealt with! Use Cottage Point hire or Barrenjoey, they're reliable. We booked their top of the line boat weeks out for a public holiday on a long weekend in school holidays and suddenly 7pm the night before it has an engine issue (i.e. hired to someone else wanting to pay more). from 180hp to a 40hp tinny and refused to even give a discount on that. If their boats 'not working' wasn't bad enough, neither does their email, nor does their ability to take credit cards, they want you to pay all the monies including the deposit via bank transfer into their personal bank account. Messed about – Tried to hire a boat for one day. Booked well in advance but no booking confirmation. When I contacted them I was told certain staff had been fired. Non of my business I don't need to hear this. Was then told I would be contacted to arrange a new hire. No contact. Week end now spoilt thanks to boba boats in Freemantle. Waste of time.
