Terribly disappointed – We have had troubles of late with our Bosch 16P. Recently the pilot light keeps going out. We have had to manually light it but then it only lasts for a few mins. Now it is not working at all. We have had Plummer come out and have a look. He suggested we contact Bosch as it is under 3 years old. I rang them and apparently these are only under… Read more

warranty for 2 years. So disappointed as it is still not fixed and we are having freezing cold showers. This should not be happening to a instantaneous Hot water system after only a short period of time. The plumber said it my take a few goes to fix it as he can’t see the issue without having a play around and costing us a load of money.

Have to Join the rest useless unit bottomless money pit – On going problems from installation and even the installer wanted to charge me to come out and check it which would be reimbursed if they found it was a warranty problem that may work if i wasn't a pensioner on the bones of my ass barley paying for the governments new utility prices every 1/4 the unit has to be regulated nearly every month or it… Read more

freezes you or cooks you the pilot goes out every day and was a bastard to light note i said was as it died today 30/12/2015 a belated Christmas present as the warranty kindly expired 29 April 2015 however if i had purchased the unit 6 months later i am told by Alinta Gas i would have had a 5 year warranty on the newer units LMAO, According to the trouble shooting now i must replace the pilot light so it looks like COLD SHOWERS from know on until i can afford to make a loan against my pension for the repair 10 years with a Renai not one problem till it died and now we have the never ending problems in Bosch in my opinion AVOID THESE UNITS LIKE THE PLAGE unless you like spending money

Nothing but expensive trouble – I have had this unit now for 6+ years and am going to pay the money to change to another brand. Every year I have to adjust the temperature for winter and summer. The hydropower system easily jams and stops the system working. I have spent a lot getting it serviced and it is still is problematic. Now the 2c plastic wheel in the hydro has been damaged and it will cost 1/3 the price of a whole new unit for the part alone. Don't get this unit.

A good hot water heater – when set up right and installed in a good location, it is a great heater for hot water. Apart from the pilot blowing out in really strong gales, which is easily relit with the piezo ignition button, the pilot instantaneous hot water has given my family great service. To over come the problem of the pilot going out, I occasionally go out and pour a… Read more ·  1

jug of hot water down the side of the bottle in use when I think it might be getting close to empty, and note the level of the condensation mark. when it gets low, I switch over to the other 45kg bottle. (make sure the valve on the next bottle is on). when the gas supplier comes round, he tops up both bottles any way

Works fine but hard to light up – Had this unit servicing a family of 6 for quite a few years. It works fine but is really awkward to relight the pilot light when changing gas bottles (LPG) had a number of service calls to improve this but the old gas BBQ lighter seems the best option when the clicker fails.

Pilot light extinguishes – Can't light the gas. Pilot lights but extinguishes when I press the jets button. This has been a good system until it kept going out and now won't light. After removing button cover plate, the internal Jet button appears to have a broken part as it is wobbly, whereas the pilot internal button is firm and straight. Love instananeous hot water when the unit is close to the water outlet. Won't light.

Good – If pilot light problem can be fixed it will be a very satisfactory unit.We are a family of three with the usual hot water needs which this unit more than meets. Never run out of hot water. Pilot light continually goes out. It is not wind related.

Pilot light/main burner light out help please!! – As per the last review we are having problems with our bosch (10H, 13H or 16H). The green light for the main burner is not on so I think we have an issue here.

I've had showers that go cold on me since my 13H was installed in 2007. "Tech. support" are only interested in blaming shower heads and mixer taps.

Unreliable 3 seasons of the year – The cost and installation of this device far exceed the benifits of having it installed. Even on max temperature settings it doesn't heat water hotter than body temperature in Spring Winter and Autumn. However Summer might require you to add cool water. It was recommended to us being perfect for a small home with a single shower/bath, but I wouldn't even recommend it for a single kitchen let alone a house. Nice colour? Everything Else

Excellent – Only problem I ever had was water was not hot enough in winter (it gets very cold here) however I got a fellow in and he adjusted the settings and now it runs beautifully in all weather. easy of use and economy none now that I had adjustments made

OK – make sure you have a large gas supply before installing this unit, otherwise water simply doesnt heat up hot enough never ever run out of hot water doesn't heat water hot enough as compared to a storage hot water service.

Excellent – I have had one of these for the last 10 or so years and I love it. Instant heat is fantastic.

Bad – I have real problems with hot/cold showers. Every time I jiggle the tap in the shower, I can hear the burner fire up and then shut off and then fire up ...etc. Very difficult to adjust to a constant temperature. My partner has the same system and the same problem. I've had it with these things. Small outdoor unit hot/cold showers
