If you put washing powder in compartment II do you need to add water?
Or does the machine add the powder to the wash automatically?
danicrouchy asked on Mar 21, 2012
Hi,
Can we put loose powder in compartment II? we don't need to add water, is that correct?
Does the washing machine automatically put the detergent in the wash then?
Thanks,

Which compartment do you put the washing powder in? Also how can I get another instruction manual?
Sandy asked on Mar 5, 2012
Can you sit a 5kg dryer directly on top of this washing machine?
Helen asked on Feb 27, 2012
Sorry unsure...best ask a retailer or manufacturer that question.
EmeraldGem replied on Feb 29, 2012
Hi-My opinion is you most probably could, but I wouldn't.I was in the same boat. I needed to due to lack of room, but didn't as who knows what might happen. Mine ended up in the shed for rainy days.

Hi I have a Bosch Classic Maxx front loader (WEA8060AU/01) which suddenly has started to leak all ingoing water from the detergent drawer when I start a wash cycle. Have removed and cleaned the drawer but that has not fixed the problem.
Manon asked on Jan 30, 2012
Call your nearest service centre. Sorry can't help anymore than that.

Hi, I have a front loader max classic Bosch washing machine and after every wash the Care product compartment becomes full of water and has to be emptied after each wash. I dont use fabric softener. What's this caused by & how can i fix it?
Thanks
Matt asked on Jan 15, 2012
Hi, I haven't noticed this as a problem - there is a little residual water but it is not full at all. Have you taken the compartment completely out and looked at the water inlet / outlet area to make sure there is nothing blocking it? I tend to use liquid detergent but when I have used powder it occasionally leaves behind a lump of residue. Perhaps something like this is blocking the outlet? I would also try and do an empty hot wash and put white vinegar in all of the product compartments - vinegar is a great descaler if there is residue build-up. Otherwise, if you feel it is impacting on the machine's performance you could have it serviced by Bosch. Hope that helps :)

How do you clean the rubber front seal around opening? mine is mouldy and I try to keep it dry when not in use but it looks terrible - model no WAE22460AU - Thanks
linda asked on Jan 1, 2012
My machine does quite a few loads each day so that may be why mould is never a problem for me. But if I was only doing a load every day or two I would grab a towel after I finished and gently soak up that excess water lying in the seal. Another trick I use in my laundry anyway is to add some white vinegar to my rinse cycle when washing towels etc. Every couple of weeks I do an empty wash - the 15min cycle - using just vinegar (no soap). White vinegar is great for getting rid of mildew and mould and soap buildup. Perhaps you could try a long Cottons cycle - at 90C - throwing a cup of vinegar in the seal and bowl and see if that rids you or your problem. I hope that helps - good luck!

I have never had a mould problem but I do a few loads each day so there wouldn't be time for mould to grow. I also use white vinegar in some of my rinse cycles (eg towels - once they are dried there is no vingear smell) - I pour about 50ml or so into the middle fabric softener compartment. This would stop mould and mildrew from growing. In your case, you could try using a microfibre cloth and white vinegar to wipe off the mould as best as you can. Then do an empty wash on a very hot cotton cycle at 90C and pour a cup of white vinegar into the steel bowl. Hopefully this will referesh your machine. Use vinegar periodically in your rinse cyle or as an empty wash to keep the machine fresh. Hope that helps - good luck.

Are all Bosch washing machines made in Thailand?
Carolyn asked on Nov 26, 2011
No carolyn, Bosch higher end products are made in Germany and Switzerland I believe, they have entered the market for entry level products with Thai production. That said these Thailand made products still have a superb build quality and to my knowledge are not rebadged they are made by Bosch to usual Bosch standard just cheaper as manufacturing is in their Asian plant.
Judd replied on Nov 26, 2011
I have found this statement on the Bosch website:
"Bosch products were available in Thailand for more than 86 years. The first sales of Bosch product in Thailand was made in 1923.
Bosch Group is very committed to the growth of the country and thus has made capital investment and manpower in setting up the factory called Bosch Automotive (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in 1996. The factory is located in the Amata City, Rayong province, producing the high quality Brake Booster and Master Cylinder for all our leading automobile partners both in Thailand and in ASEAN. The expansion of the assembly line for ABS system has already started."
It does appear that Bosch ovens are still made in Germany.

Which is the recommended detergent for Bosch WAE20262AU?
John asked on Nov 24, 2011
Hi John
Any good quality front loader detergent will work, just use 1/2 the amount they recommend.
We use radiant
Judd
Judd replied on Nov 24, 2011
I like to use a detergent that is specifically for front loaders. It has all the cleaning power, but less surfactant (bubbles).
I prefer Euca, (www.euca.com.au) an Australian made washing powder available at most supermarkets.

How long do the cotton cycles take? esp cold water?
bullfrog11 asked on Oct 12, 2011
I have been doing mine on a 30 degree wash mostly and it take about 53 minutes. I sometimes change to cold and it take 46. It does tend to gain a few minutes at times though which is strange... The hotter you go the longer it takes.
acarthur replied on Oct 12, 2011
On just cold water at 1000 rpm spin the cotton cycle takes 46 minutes, but on the eco cycle it takes 2 hours 35 minutes.

Stuart

I have a new machine. I am concerned that there is no water in the bottom of the drum when washing. The clothes are quite wet but just tumbling around in the drum not immersed in water at all. Can someone please tell me if this is normal. Thanks John
cleaner2 asked on Jun 29, 2011
John this is how my machine has been too. I have had all sorts of problems but what you ask seems to be like mine.
alison replied on Jul 22, 2011
Hi Alison, what type of problems are you having, and have you contacted either Bosch or the retailer about them? Best regards, John.
cleaner2 replied on Jul 25, 2011
Can this machine be connected to hot AND cold water supply, or cold only?
Kelvin asked on May 15, 2011
No just cold connection and heats it itself
Maria_Z replied on May 16, 2011
Hi Kelvin
Only the cold connection is required as the machine heats it's own
JosephineSays replied on May 16, 2011
Yes, please use front load washing powder in Compartment II. When you start the washing machine, water from the tap connection will flush the washing powder into the drum.
