Here's a list of questions other people have asked about Bosch WAS32742AU
Does it have an in built water heater? Can it only wash in cold water?
coty asked on Jan 31, 2012
It does have an in built water heater (it does not have a hot water inlet). It can wash in cold water only if you select that option.

When they say that the there is an 'Audible end-of-cycle signal' does that mean it keeps beeping until you turn it off or does it beep a couple of times and turn of automatically?
Kat asked on Jan 18, 2012
Hi Kat,
It kept beeping until the door was opened. We did not need this function so I just selected the option to turn the alarm off as it was a little annoying.
Zedex replied on Jan 19, 2012
Kat,
As Zedex stated, the alarm will keep going until you open the door. You have the option to turn it off all together, or make it quieter. Unfortunately there is no option to have it sound once then turn off. It's quite annoying.

I noticed that one other user has an alarm that only beeps twice then turns off. That is definitely not the case with my machine or Zedex's machine by the looks of things. Its possible that Bosch have changed the software to remove the annoying continuous alarm, so if this is a real problem for you, then you may need to ask the salesman how your machine will work before buying (it may have different software).

Does anyone have any experience with a Bosch WAE20262au, as I am thinking of purchasing one
Thank you

Look, I did a lot of research before buying the WAS32742AU and in the Bosch range, in my opinion, it was the only one to buy. Mainly because it has a brushless motor and the size of the wash, 8kgs. Smaller features that are useful are the child lock and two custom programs which I have found handy. There are only two models made in Germany, the one above, top of the range and the model below it. Worth the extra cash in my view and if you did not want to spend $2000.00 on a washing machine, I personally, would go the Meile brand as I do believe they make a better washing machine below the $1500.00 mark.
Hope this helps, the Roo.

Yes both the WAS32742AU AND WAS28440AU are made in Germany.
