Pros: Fantastic build quality, super strong and not 'plastic'. Very quiet and very easy to use. Huge door that opens very wide. Lots of cycles to choose from including quick wash (reduce wash by 15-20 mins), pre-wash for soaking etc, and reduced spin for easier ironing. I have only had this machine for 1 day but am already in love with. It has handled our family of 7's washing without skipping a beat (I had a weeks worth of washing piled up after my old machine died and the Bosch handled it all in 3 loads! - would've normally taken 8-10 in my old 5kg Simpson). It is a big machine and only just squeezed into the space in our laundry so double check your measurements.I also found that Appliances online were the best price and offered the best service by far. They delivered the next day, installed my new machine and took away my old all without any extra charge. I originally tried to get this machine from David Jones and was told I would have to wait up to 4 weeks, they wouldn't match the price from appliances online and would charge $55 for delivery and install plus extra to take away my old one.
Cons: It is very large so check that you have the space for it. Cannot open the door once you have started but you can pause the cycle, drain it, add more items and then start again but this is probably not going to be good for the water bill.
Overall: Love it. Love it. Love it. I was worried about the longer wash cycles (2hrs) but being able to fit nearly three times as much in each cycle has laid those fears to rest. It is by far the best quality machine you can get and is perfect for any large family. I also would highly recommend appliances online - they were very helpful, totally professional, arrived on time and had my machine installed and ready to go in minutes.
Pros: Has cut my washing time in half due to capacity. Clothes come out almost dry after spinning. Extremely quiet. Very good value for price (appliance online fastest delivery and best price I found compared to other stores). Very quick and easy to install. Very water efficient. For such a large capacity machine it doesn't take up as much room as I imagined it would in our laundry.
Cons: On two occasions the spin cycle did not complete and clothes came out dripping. This occurred when the load was less than full (ie. small load of towels) ?due to problems balancing when it isn't a full load or there are only 'small' or only 'large' items in the machine effecting balance. But possibly I haven't learnt the best cycle for this load and this may be due to my error rather than a fault of the machine.
Overall: After going from a 5kg washer (for our entire family) to a 10kg I absolutely love it - has considerably cut down on number of loads of washing I need to do. One full load fills half of our hills hoist. Extremely quiet.
Pros: I love this machine, its quiet and I can throw a huge load of washing into it. You can vary the spin cycle from 660 to 1200 to suit all your needs. Many different functions available.
Cons: The gentle cycle washes very, very gently, sometimes does not get the collars etc, but perhaps wrong cycle has been chosen.
Overall: Fantastic machine for a family. Can throw s sets of sheets and pillow cases and five shirts in at one time and it has no problem washing. Highly recommeded
Overall: Spin cycle at 1200rpm (sometimes)takes a while for the load senosrs to 'balance' the load prior to initiating spin. Washes consistently well the first time. By far the best 10kg domestic machine on the market - no flimsy dials (like LG) and no useless features that are not relevent to getting great washing results.
Pros: Excellent capacity via large door opening. Washing results are excellent - based on using quality detergent. Very quiet throughout wash and 1200rpm spin cycles.
Cons: Tends to take a while to balance loads before 1200rpm spin. Capacity could have been even greater if the door had not been so deep. Miele can spin much faster and does not take anywhere near the time to balance a load prior to spin cycle. Eg you could divide the 10kg load in half and spin them in a Miele 5-6.5kg machine more than twice as fast as the Bosch can spin the same amount of clothes - the Bosch just takes a long time (at times/dependent upon the clothes within the machine) for its sensors to detect the load is balanced in order to proceed with the 1200rpm spin cycle. Very dirty clothes are washed properly the first time 'round.
Overall: Despite the delayed spin cycle at times - this is the best domestic 10kg front loader washer on the market !!. Miele 10kg machine is $14,700....no thats not a misprint -over 14k !!
Appliances on-line were best price - and delivered for free ! Great service.
No fancy buttons to fail (such as LG) - Bosch washer is made in USA.
