bosch, and only bosch – I am very happy with this heat pump dryer ( and my other Bosch appliances ). It’s been reliable's for 6+years. Purchased for AUD$1,535. Large single items do end up in a ball and drying is incomplete. It is necessary to interrupt the cycle every 15 minutes or so in this instance to reposition contents. A favourites setting is needed. … Read more

Clothing, absolutely no issues. All types of clothing go in together ( I add three dryer balls with essential oils ). Less drying time which is probably why I Did not notice impact in my electrical bill. No faults, imperfections or concerns. Am now a fan of all bosh appliances. Also bought dishwasher, cooktop and oven!

Absolute junk – Scratched door out of box, which I needed to take to ACCC to get Bosch to replace. Door then fell off a year later. Machine only tumbles in one direction. Machine now makes a grunt sound. I truely couldn’t be bothered fighting Bosch to get this fixed. You need to set settings for every single load. No way of setting your preferences for it to… Read more

Good points: Nice size lint filter Nice size drum Good energy efficiency. Great pump out of condensate.

Only Pain Living with this Bosch Dryer – The Bosch WTW86560AU/10 should have been recalled years ago. Bosch’s reputation has been tarnished by ignoring their customers complaints about this lemon. I paid $2376 for the dryer in 2011 and it continues to make my life hell. There are many drying programs to select but only the “extra dry” setting has ever dried my clothes. And it really does… Read more

take many hours for a well spun 1400 rpm load of towels to dry. Despite cleaning the moisture sensor the cycle always ends with items still damp. So I repeatedly have to keep running the extra dry program.

I found that by repeatedly tilting the machine at different angles lint building up inside was washed into the water collector container. Large amounts of lint! It is supposed to be self cleaning but obviously fails. Despite this the dryer stops several times mid cycle and I have to restart it. For this reason it lives in my family room so I can see and hear when it needs restarting. I get some satisfaction displaying my lemon for all to see. The dryer handle snapped at one end last month giving me more reason to hate it. I am hoping it dies soon and puts me out of my misery. I will not be spending a cent on service fees. Drying used to be quick and easy with my cheap, reliable Simpson vented dryer that lived for over a decade. I could have bought six of them for the money I spent on this Bosch rubbish, and saved my mind.

Bosch dryer – This is the worst machine ever does not dry cloth drum only turns one way cloth end up in ball. Do not buy and Bosch told me it's working properly no way bought at Harvey Norman if Harvey Norman had of told me about the machine only turning one way I would not have spent so much money on rubbish.  Show details

Excellent – Had this for around 5 years has never given us grief. We found that German quality is the way to go in appliances. Not the cheapest, but the most reliable in our experiences. This machine is sturdy and does its job with minimal fuss. Used frequently in winter and enjoys a break in the summer time.  Show details ·  1

Expensive and plagued with problems as soon as it was out of warranty – Seems like a common theme emerging with reliability of this Bosch condenser dryer. I got the Bosch WTW86560AU back in 2010 and paid over $2k. At first it seemed great as we had no clothes drying area in the apartment we had moved into and a newborn baby, so lots of laundry to dry, and this machine was doing a decent job and didn't seem to have… Read more

much impact on our electricity bills.

Problems started after about 18 months.

First the plastic door handle snapped right from where it's held by the screws, replacement not covered by warranty and was expensive. So a bit of super glue and longer screws to hold it in place did the trick.

Next the clips holding the water container broke, haven't bothered replacing - just need to be really careful when taking container out that we don't drop it.

Another ongoing issue after about 3 years was that the machine would stop when the load was still thoroughly wet and indicate that it's done. This could happen numerous times per load and could take all day just to dry one load. That's if you are home to hear the alarm going that it's stopped again (and what an incessant alarm it is!).

Then the machine was stopping after just a few minutes and indicating the lint filter was full, even though it is emptied after every load. This would happen over and over rendering the dryer unusable.

Spent $132 on service for technician to open up the machine and clean out lint that gets past the filter.

Now another 18 months later it's happened again, but how often are you expected to have to pay for a technician to come out and clean out your machine. This is obviously a design fault, otherwise they would have provided access to clean the condenser like other machines. See link:

http://olgaslaundry.com/2016/03/19/how-to-clean-a-condenser-dryer/

Now I have an expensive machine, with a broken handle, broken water container hinge, door seals that are coming apart and requiring a regular cleaning service to keep it running.

Not what I would have expected from a $2k+ dryer.

To keep repairing seems like madness, but to fork out for another $2k machine is also painful.

Not sure I would choose Bosch again, but not sure what brands/models are better.

Worst dryer ever – this is the worst dryer EVER. it's never ONCE dried anything in one cycle. It takes me all day long to get one load dried - no matter what setting I choose. I'm about to take a bat to it. It's useless and infuriating. i've had a tech come out to look at it and he said it was technically working properly it's just a bad dryer. don't ever ever ever buy one. Show details

We love our dryer – We love our condenser dryer. Not only does it not fog up the laundry, it dries clothes very nicely - and gives us water for our plants. Being over 5 years old, we're still very happy with it. Sure, sometimes it balls up sheets/doona covers, but we've just learned to not put them in with small items. And if it does bundle up, we just unbundle it,… Read more ·  5

bung the sheets/doona back in and put it on the automatic setting again and it finishes it off nicely. It's no biggie for us but I can understand that this might frustrate some people. It otherwise does a very good drying job with a very sensible automatic setting - we put it on and forget about it and when it's done, it's dry.

Where we live it gets very cold in winter, so we're using the dryer for half the year. It's had a lot of use and it still works absolutely fine, and that's with small kids slamming the dryer door and pressing all the buttons at times! It's pretty hardy. We did have to replace the handle on the door as our charming firstborn kept pulling on it, but that was pretty easy for us to fix via Bosch. Probably the design of the door could be better as if you don't open it completely evenly, it can lead to uneven wear and tear. Perhaps it's more designed to be fixed to the wall, above a washing machine, as it would then be at a better height for evenness of pressure when opening the door.

Terrible costly useless dryer – I am in my late fifties and have had many clothes dryers. This product is ok to dry sox and small items but not sheets or doona covers as they all ball up and remain wet. Towels and sheets end up inside the doona covers balled up and wet. I work full-time and now have to spend many hours individually processing each sheet and doona cover. I feel like throwing the clothes dryer out and buying a new one. It is so disappointing.

Everything ends up in a wet ball – Bought this dryer thinking that if it's a German product with a hefty price tag, it must be the best in its class. What a laugh! I really wish I had read all the reviews before parting with such a substantial amount of money. Not only does it only ever partially dry the clothes (regardless of the setting), it only rotates in one direction.… Read more

This guarantees that sheets and duvet covers end up in a giant ball with soaking-wet pillow slips inside.

I will never buy another Bosch product.

An expensive and irritating mistake that I am reminded of every day when I am hanging out the damp clothes so that they can dry properly on the line.

Disappointed – Disappointed, Absolutely rubbish, just purchased brand new and I have tried every possible programme, clothes come out very damp at best. Our old hotpoint was half the price and 10 times better. come off it Bosch this maybe energy efficient, due to the fact that you give up and hang the clothes on a radiator.

Rubbish – I purchased this Eco friendly dryer about 5 years ago and used very little as I have geothermal underfloor heating and dried the clothes on a clothes horse. Recently I have had to use it more often and it has failed to dry clothes completely. I have always purchased Bosch.

Almost dries clothes - but takes hours – This dryer takes hours to dry clothes and they have to be hung a while after to finish the job. Even on the really dry setting it comes out just almost dry. I have had towels in there all day today and still going at 8pm... Cant be saving money on power with these dry times...Not really impressed for the steep price of the machine.

It doesn't dry – I paid a considerable price for this. The reason being that I wanted dry clothes as opposed to half dried damp clothes hanging around my house. [This I could get with my excellent Miele washing machine and my radiators].Guess what, even if I chose the "very dry" programme, it still comes out with damp patches.

Dryer that does not dry – Have had this for a while now and no matter what programme I use it does not dry the washing. I have to use 2 or 3 different programmes to actually get anywhere dry. It was certainly not a cheap item and now wish I had paid much less and could one that would actually do the job. It is energy efficient which is just as well as I have to have it on much longer than any other dryer I have had.

Died at 3 years old – Purchased after lots of research due to family members slipping on wet floor from traditional dryer. birthday. Clothes were sopping wet with 2 inches water in the bottom of drum at end of cycle - they were spun at 1400 rpm in wash prior!! Two service agents later and it is irreparable due to condensor and heat pump issues and lint issues despite cleaning every load. After purchasing the new bigger model today (why Bosch again? - an Asko can't be delivered til next week and I've been without a dryer for 3 weeks!!!) a load of 8 terry towels was dried in an hour and a normal load in 2 hours! New model has different lint system - I wonder why it was redesigned?? It is obvious my wtw86560 model was faulty from the start but I didn't realize thanks to my first, and almost, last condensor heat pump dryer experience. Bosch was disinterested when I asked why a $2450 dryer would die after just three years when advertised as lasting for years.

Redesign please – Doesn't dry properly on one cycle, constantly having to put through 2nd or 3rd time. Good to look at but don't bother turning on. Spins only in one direction, sheets end up in one massive ball. Spinning in other direction and alternating would certainly help solve this problem.

Love this dryer! – I purchased this Logixx condenser dryer about a year ago after doing extensive research on what to buy and what not to buy, and absolutely love it! I use it 4-5 times a week and throw almost everything in it! It's a far cry from my old F&P 2 star dryer. My power bill has been reduced by around a third. It was so worth the expense. Reliable, energy efficient, large load capacity, relatively quiet, cycle choices Initial expensive outlay. Show reply

BOSCH - WORST Customer Service EVER - Appalling – We purchased this dryer 13 months ago from appliances on line. We started having empty the condenser container issues after 6 months. Do not buy this dryer – Appalling machine, it rarely dries clothes. Despite meticulously following the care and cleaning instructions this dryer rarely completes a full cycle before showing the "empty condenser container/clean the condenser filter" error message. I regularly have to remove my clothes form the dryer and hang them on the line to get them dry. I use the machine for everything from towels and sheets to underwear and delicates. It is pathetic.

Excellent Machine! – In 2008 I decided that I wanted a decent laundry system (washer & dryer), my partner and I looked around for ages (trying to decide which were the best possible machines to purchase), factoring in efficiency, reliability, ease of use, etc etc, as you do when making a $$$$ purchase. machine and the 8kg Bosch Logixx Maxx dryer. We have had no problems with either of these machines since date of purchase, and being that the washing machine spins at 1400rpm, it takes very little time in the dryer to dry your washing. Also, because the Logixx Condensor dryer is just that, a condensor, you don't need to vent the machine outside, it collects the moisture out of the washing and stores it in a convenient container at the top of the machine (that you need to empty at the end of each load) no moisture is released into your home. You do however, need to remember to periodically clean out the condensor, to keep your machine running smoothly. Very reliable, very energy efficient, easy to use, multi-choice dryer settings Remember to clean out the condensor at least once a month.

loved it for the week it worked – I absolutely loved this machine, but after a week of using it, something has gone very wrong!! problem, I can't persuade it to complete any cycle at all.

I rang Bosch and the first lady that answered was quite dismissive and seemed disbelieving. The second man was very professional and courteous. I'm currently waiting for technician to come and see it and hoping that this is something that can be fixed and won't be recurrent or an indication of overall quality in the longer term

So, overall i reckon it is a great machine, reliability has yet to be proven but this is not a great start, after-sales care seems to to be mediocre or very good depending on who answers the phone. energy efficient, does a great job on different types of washing, doesn't fry the clothes , no moisture in laundry room, easy to clean discouraged by early problem with reliability, hoping we'll get past it

time.

It is a self-cleaning machine. Not sure what it cleans, but it is a simple job at the end of each load to clean the lint filter and empty the water. The filter is located at the front of the machine, so no reaching in to clean the filter at the back of the machine.

I love that my laundry no longer steams or warms up when I use my dryer so it can be run with the doors closed. Also there is no lint collecting around my laundry. Simple to use, loads of options which I am still trying to work out what they actually do.

Great for the environment.

Doesn't steam up the laundry The manual is a little light on, so not really sure how to best utilise the many options.

Excellent – Where is a quality, there is a price to pay, a part from that it is the best dryer as far as I know, it is compatible with Miele, Siemens if not better. Manual is a bit of a funny paper ,but in the age of modern internet you find everything on internet if you are on more visual explanation. Everything, a cream of the machines, easy and perfect Nothing, yet it is costly but if you want quality, this is it
