1 Phillip S.  · To noisy, stops for too long when getting to temperature continuously turns on off no matter were you set it .
1 Jim  · Nothing but trouble. I had the first one replaced because it was faulty and now the replacement is having problems, these units are very sensitive.

Worst heater I’ve ever used. It’s the only heater in my rental and I don’t use it. If it works, it’s useless anyway. Had it checked and repaired countless times. Blows out warm air at best, doesn’t work at all when it’s really freezing, shuts off every few minutes at random, is so noisy, rattles, limited controls with no instructions. Waste of time. Doesn’t heat the lounge in our 2 bedroom house. Show details

had one installed a couple of years ago and was initially very happy with it. However after first winter was not able to restart it for next cold season, fault lights indicated a blocked flue! As I am unable to get on the roof, had to pay plumber… Read more

to come out and check it apparently flue had a spiders web in it and as the system is so sensitive it would not light until cobwebs cleaned out of flue! this now happens at the start of each cold season costing more than $200.00 each time. would never have bought it if I had been told of this problem which is apparently a known problem.

Follow-up  · The last time I got someone to take the top off the flue and spray some sort of outdoor surface spray around and in the flue before putting the top back on. I have also turned the heater on during the warmer seasons each week in the hope that might deter spiders. I am not convinced that it does, but this winter I was able to operate the heater… Read more

I had this heater installed over two years ago and I have not been able to use it at all. Within two minutes the control panel indicated that the flue terminal is obstructed. It’s 4 1/2 star energy rating – I have recently upgraded my homes heating ,to the braemar wall heater it has been quite different to my old rattling valcon heater it has a fan forced flu so risk of carbon dioxide in the home is all extracted via the roof vent, the heater it went on perfectly to the existing spot with out any alteration to my walls. heat button and has automatic thermostat, also a child lock, good for little ones who love to push buttons. I have had the heater for approximately 3 months on 24/7 and my gas bill was so much lower than previous years. Melbourne has had some of the coldest days already and we have just hit winter, I will update on my winter bill saving when I receive it. Over all quite slim blends in well with my wall colour so that’s a bonus, very quietly turns of and on bearly notice the automatic thermostat, house sits on 24* comfortably day and night. I sadly suffer from bad rheumatoid arthritis and the cold knocks me for 6 , but I’m glad I have updated and over all so far 5/5 for me both , financially and health wise. I would greatly recommend this product. I’m not a payed customer either just a mum on a disability payment.

Working pretty good – We just bought a small home which had a furnace already installed. It is noisy on setting 3 but puts out lovely warm air.So far happy with it.We installed a split system as well but either way they run constantly as well and the heat doesn't warm you up as good as the gas.As far as warmth goes the furnace is better in our solid brick walled home which gets very cold. Show details ·  1

Nice and cosy – Heater installed yesterday, followed by running instructions. Red lights are usual, indicating temperature selection whilst green light indicates economic mode. I’m cozy with the replacement heater. Instructions are on the side panel of unit. I didn’t get a booklet as indicated that I should read before use which is how I got here….but it’s very automatic. Show details ·  1

Don't buy a WF30!! – Absolute rubbish. WE replaced a 20 year old Vulcan with a WF30, 4 years ago, and in that time it has failed twice, first repair (just out of warranty) $750, failed again yesterday, estimated repair cost (fan failure) almost $600. Also told by the repair agent that the heat exchanger is cracked, and may be replaced under warranty, parts only, we… Read more

would have to pay for labour. Just turned it off, never to be used again, replaced with 2 fan forced electric heaters at one third of the cost of repairing this heap of junk. My advice - don't even consider the WF30, poor quality, and a heap of trouble.

Never buy this brand of heater – Had the unit installed after 40 years of using Vulcan gas wall furnaces (4 different homes). Will never go with this brand again. warranty so I had to pay $255 for 15 minutes of work and call out fee. This was after paying $3600 for heater install. Was told I need to run the heater every week, this includes over summer months to keep the flue clear. It is now winter and I am running the heater every day, and guess what, heater again does not want to start on first go. I now have to go up on the roof of my house to check the flue. Also told to get a pet exterminator to help keep the flue clean. This is a total scam. Terrible design of the flue (if that is in fact the real problem). I feel very sorry for anyone who lives in a double story house, an older person, or a disabled person as this unit is going to be costly just to run normally. I wish I had read the reviews of this unit before telling the plumber to ahead with it. I have also told my plumber about these reviews so they can talk people out of buying this brand.

Was good but then crack in heat exchange – This was a great wall heater (very warm and heated rooms fast). However, we haven’t used it for 2 years (used another heating source) and I just had it serviced and the plumber has said we need to replace it as it has a crack in the heat exchange. Failed just days after installation – We replaced my elderly mother in law’s old Vulcan wall furnace with the Braemar PWF30. On installation it was noticeably noisier than the old heater, and within days of installation the fan motor failed. We are currently waiting for Braemar to send a replacement motor for a repair under warranty but there doesn’t seem to be any sense of urgency. Feeling disappointed that an Australian company’s quality control has failed so badly. Show details

Don’t buy Braemar pwf30 – We have had the Braemar PWF30 since the 13/7/22 after replacing the old model, we are very disappointed with the performance of this heater, it doesn’t do what it’s supposed to, that is heat our very small house, it is noisy and the amount of heat it puts out is minimal, we paid $3862 for the change over. Follow up to my review – After not believing the company that installed my heater I went to a couple of different places to find out why the heater didn’t work properly. I was told… Read more

Don’t buy this heater I had one installed last Wednesday at the cost of just under $2500, noisy and doesn’t heat room – Don’t buy this heater I had one installed last Wednesday at a cost of just under $2500, it only heats (if you could call it heat) to 20C in a small lounge room with door closed to other rooms and blinds down on the highest setting of 8. It’s noisy and exceptionally noisy in my bedroom with the rear outlet opened or closed. The installer came out… Read more

yesterday to check it, he stared at it for a while pressed some buttons and said he adjusted the pressure and if that didn’t help it might need a tech . Today I received a phone call from the place I bought it telling me he said it’s working as it should and the heaters now are not like the old one it’s a different heat and they could send a tec out but if it’s working how it should then they will bill me for the visit. Iv had a Braemar wall heater for over 10 years with no problem I only changed it as it was getting old and gas bill was high. This one I was told was more efficient and would warm up the living areas of my small home but having to run it on the highest setting and still be cold in one small room and I don’t think my gas bill will go down at this rate I am totally disgusted. I will never by from this place again and stay away from Braemar. Worst heater I have ever had.

Useless piece of junk – Heater starts off okay but within a short time it trips and goes to three red one green light flashing or turns off and then the room is freezing cold again. Don't install this equipment – For the last two years, this equipment failed three times. The design is bad, the equipment is very unreliable. Plumbers can come in and fix things but the price we pay for such fixes does not make sense, noting how much the equipment costs.

Outdated starting mechanism – At least with our old unit we could see the flame ignite or not when you pressed the button and as per others it is noisy. This thing takes numerous goes and then sometimes a second person to take over before it can get going. Very disappointed… Read more

that in this day and age that such a clunky starting mechanism still exists makes it feel like a very cheap unit. A for noise level I agree we have had to turn our TV up to be able to hear it over this unit. Unfortunately we had to change but I wish we didn't - the other heater had done its job - I seriously doubt that this one will last 5 years before we start having issues (last one was 20+yrs). Stay away from this would be my advice

Horrible – DHS installed this heater about 9 months ago, I was having to restart the heater every half an hour to an hour and it was driving me nuts and yes it is loud, I like my tv volume on 15 when I watch it, with the heater on we need it on 30 just to hear it over the heater. I hear water dripping in my heater – I have the WF25N heater and it heats well. My concern is sometimes (not always) I can hear the sound of water dripping inside the heater. Is this normal. Would not recommend anyone to purchase this model as it has a history of similar problems - reviews written since 2018- same issue so that says a lot about Braemer rectifying known issues and DHHS purchasing substandard essential items.

real benefit of having a rocket science wall furnace unless you want hearing damage and more electrical usage.. Ex neighbours smashed theirs on their way out. Well i still have an open fireplace so that'll be 1/3 the cost. The photo I provided sows how complicated it is to have a computer to regulate its rocket science. It was taken when being installed. To save energy from this (yes wth its star rating) be sure to unplug it or switch off at the power point switch as it uses standby power. I would had chosen something more cost economical and sensible for my living enviroment but at least i didnt have to pay for it.

control this since turning the dial down a little to 3 or below basically makes the heater cut out altogether. Along with the absence of directional fins for air flow this has to be one of the most user UN-friendly appliances I have ever come across. With an energy rating of 2.2 I wonder how any manufacturer would be proud of this product. Avoid if you can.

Not what should be expected – a noisy relay to control ignition and fans instead of a silent FET or IGBT common place in most white goods. fan speed via a resistor. using the above is almost a noise free start and with the correct part selection will be far far more reliable often at a lesser cost.Hint : surface mount IGBT's rated at 600 volts at 8 amps are more cost effective… Read more

AND fully silent. Using a simple cheap opto coupler and a minor firmware change smoother start of the blower can be achieved. I did see a large fixed capacitor if its purpose is a starter that might have a baring on why you might not have elected to move to this technology. just as simple to have a multi would induction motor with three FETS or IGBTs and why no insulation over a motor winding do you really want to trade winding heat in favour of corrosion and possibly an open circuit motor. I makes me wonder as a tenant, if one should trust your firmware in the key roles of protection for over temperature and carbon monoxide sensing ! especially when a look at the above factors admittedly I only see your retail price but even so in 2020 the build is total risk at this price and I DO agree that with the cost of gas to the consumer there is a high emphasis on efficiency and it can be hard to meet the above in that context. I opten wonder if it might fare better as a fan forced solely hydronically fan forced arrangement having no carbon monoxide problems to content with only a small heat exchanger with temperature sensing,

Failed after 2 years, carbon monoxide – The furnace was purchased a little over two years ago. (at our cost) and if there was an issue then we'd pay again for labour but they'd consider sending the part. So: service #1 + service #2 + labour to fix.
