Breville Large & Small BEF210

Very disappointed – I really liked using this frypan and experimenting with new recipes but, within a few weeks the non-stick surface started to peel, even with extra-careful cleaning. After a couple of months it was peeling away in small pieces and the underlying surface secretes a white, crusty substance after it's washed. The element doesn't heat evenly and is much hotter at one end, so you have to constantly move or stir the food. I bought this more expensive brand as I believed Breville made good quality products. I probably won't buy Breville again and I will be purchasing a stainless steel pan. Size, convenience of cooking in a variety of ways. Not very good value for money, doesn't heat evenly, very poor quality non-stick surface.
ok but could be better – I wanted a large pan for cooking pikelets and doing fried rice and also a small pan for pancakes and meals for the kids. The size of these pans are what I wanted but as mentioned these pans just dont heat evenly or hot enough. The large is a pretty big unit to wash and store. Also one of the little plastic feet keeps falling off. I am disappointed with these pans except that they have a good surface and look nice. I purchased these when they were on special but think I should have gone for the Sunbeam ( even though their pans seemed to have a rough surface finish). I am still going back to my 20 year old kambrook electric frypan. Note that the 'large' is the same as the sunbeam in that it has a rectangular element and not a butterfly which surprised me.
I guess my advice would be to think carefully as I think these are only just ok when operating. The finish on the surface of these pans seems very smooth. Both of these pans do not heat evenly across the surface which I find really annoying. I also think that they don't get hot enough on highest setting.
