Good grip but need to rotate often – Fitted to 1997 ford falcon. Handling in the wet fantastic, better in the dry. The downside is they wear quickly on outer edges had to rotate front to back often to keep wear even. The tread pattern picks up stones easily, noisy until stones ejected. Tried to get a second set but none available in State

Bridgestone Turanza GR-90 Better & Worse than Yokohama C Drives – Details of use: Fitted to a BA Falcon Wagon 215/60R16 Bought for $127 each Tyres lasted 1 year and 8 months 77,000km, 80% of which was Freeway driving I was looking for a replacement to my Yokohama C Drives which were low on tread. I was not happy with their handling/cornering, it felt like the car was about to slip. I was also looking for better wet weather grip.

Looking at reviews I narrowed my search to Bridgestone Turanza GR-90’s, Michelin Energy XM1+ and Michelin Primacy LC. I eventually purchased Turanza because they were a lot cheaper of the 3, and I didn’t see anything in the reviews that warranted the higher Michelin prices. NRMA also gave to $5 off each Bridgestone tyre so that made them $122 each.

Right now I'm about to purchase either Michelin XM2's $150 or Michelin Primacy 3 ST $156. Primacy is the new tyre released 2013, and so far sounds like the better of the two. Handling and cornering was far better than the Yokohama C Drives I last had, but life mileage was 11,000km less. Tread pattern collected gravel and stones like a magnet. Only 77,000km mileage, 80% of which was on freeways. 11,000km less mileage than Yokohama C Drives. But if you factor that in Bridgestone’s were a lot cheaper, then the price/mileage ratio is probably a lot closer.

The worst tyre i have ever had – Overpriced, terrible compound, useless tread pattern, harsh noisey ride and absolutely useless in the wet. They only lasted 17k before they scrubbed out in a year, inside and outside tread was complete bald and the middle wasnt much better The local bridgestone dealer was also very rude to me and insulted me and my car for no reason, they also did not remind me to have the tyres rotated or balanced and refused to tell me when and how often to do so.

Terrible Tyres and centers would NOT recommend stay far away from them.

They also refused to fix my brakes properly and did a HORRIBLE job of aligning my wheels. I dont have them anymore, they made me realize how good the yoko a1 drives are Absolutely everything including terrible service, useless warranty, rude and ignorant service centers and shoddy products, i slid out several times in the wet as well has randomly loosing traction in the dry, useless compound, horrible ride and expensive for what you get, i have had $90 tyres preform better than these

Good tyres without the fuss – I had a set of 4 and i have driven 60,000 Ks on these tyres and had no issues with them. i can now see the tread wear indicators. so time to change. the road noice is minimum but could not find much difference compared to my older tyres. the wet grip and dry grip is excellent. my driving is mostly Highways. would highly recommend these tyres Reliable efficient. Even when fully worn it's performed quite well in wet conditions

They are very nice, I found my driving smooth, unlike the other tires, they absorb the hits of the road. They are excellent at the wet and dry grips.

I am very happy with them. Better than the ADVAN DB & INVO I took off. Super quiet, better dry / wet handling and better comfort. Thank you Bridgestone.

Great tire, highly recommended – My car: Mercedes Benz W126 420SE 1990. Old set of tires: Sumitomo HTR200 205/65 R15 94H. New set: Bridgestone TURANZA GR90 225/60 R15 96V Tire are mounted since 2 month. Distance driven with these tires: Approx. 5000KM Type of driving: mixed 50/50 urban/highways, mainly in dry conditions. My simple experience till now: 1- Steering wheel feeling is totally different, better & more control in all types of driving.

2- The car is more isolated from road noise & vibrations, listening to music is more fun now.

3- Fuel efficiency: although new tires are wider, but fuel consumption is generally less 6-7% Silent, energy efficient & better grip & road control Price is high, but I can't deny that I got my brand new set for a VERY good price

Sumitomo HTR 200 in my Beemer is the best I ever have even after all the major tyre types, I have tried, including Good Year, Dunlop & all other Major Brands of Tyre.

Also I found Hankook Optimo K415 is another Superb Tyre with Brilliant Wet weather handling...very similar to Sumitomo HTR 200's

I will never change to any other brand apart from those Two brands...Wiltshire

Wow... I just came back to this review by accident, looking for tire reviews for my other car (Chevy / SUV). I would like to say that these tires are still on my car with almost 2 years of driving in very hot conditions here, and in the same manner I described above.. they're still running smoothly without any problem. I really like them & recommend them.

@ Wiltshire: I have tried the Sumitomo as I mentioned here, & I have nothing against them. I also don't prefer to run after "Brands" just because of their name. But after 2 years of driving on these Bridgestones I can definitely say I like them more than my old Sumitomos, especially after aging (2 years of driving in a Temp. reaches 50s in summer).
