Not happy. Toner as well as Toner drum kit need to be replaced - EXPENSIVE – I went from a great HP to this. Not only do they have toner, but you need to replace the drum kit that holds the toner as well which is a couple of hundred dollars on top of the toner. I'm not going to replace anything, just throw it away and get a new one but not a Brother.

Best colur printer ever buyed – Our printer is the best,chuck out the rest!!! Brother should be really proud of themselves, They have made the best printer ever!! I always make mistakes with my microsoft powerpoint so it reallllllly good how you can cancel the document and then i can edit it Toner life could be longer and i love how it is energy star qualified because it is saving us heaaaaapppss of money
SO when you think about printers buy the Brother HL-3040CN
You should buy it. Enegy eifficient Toner life could last loger altough it is very gooooood!!!
A usable colour laser printer but print quality and toner life could be better – I print colour diagrams involving blocks of colour and some gradients, not photographs. My Canon inkjet produces great quality but I thought a laser would also be suitable for this type of work and cheaper overall. Print quality is reasonable considering the low purchase price of this printer but even so I think print quality is not up to par - colours are not very vibrant and show banding.
Was also disappointed with toner cartridge life.
Print quality and toner life could be better. Won't print continue printing in black if colour cartridge runs out.
