Brother MFC-6490CW Printer – The Brother MFC-6490CW Printer was the best buy for my business ever! so reliable and can do everything we want without having to buy and connect a different device. The ink cartridges are easy to buy from lots of places, but even cheaper are the compatible cartridges. I have two offices, so I bought one for each office to make plug-and-play easier when we move around each day.

Excellent – this is a very very good printer , fax , scanner, copier machine with some of the large file that my son and I send oversea's we have the perfect equipment to do this with it has all the elements that make a fantastic product to use. As well as print unbeatable great reproductions of pictures that we have had of family photo's as well as documents we have received from people, makes this unit worth the price paid , I would recommend this printer to anyone

Excellent – excellent performance, reasonably priced, cartridges $50.00 full set, light weight, quiet, easy to understand the control panel for use in all functions. Very good quality printing, fast copying and scans none at this stage

Terrible – These are cheaply priced units for an A3 but the print quality is low, disappointing actually. It is ok for an office printer for text documents and some graphs etc but not for quality colour prints. I had a problem 3 weeks in with my print head clogging. Brother eventually fixed it, took a month! I used it on and off and was away for several months when it wasn't used much at all. About a month after I got back the print quality decreased in black. Brother told me to do 6-8 printhead cleans, I did and it got worse and all the print heads clogged again, this time it was a couple of weeks out of warranty so Brother said sorry, not our problem. It went to the rubbish tip. I spent so much money on ink - the damn thing is always cleaning itself. Used 2.5 sets of ink for less than 1000 copies! I had a HP that had done 10 000 copies so I brought another one, very happy, it didn't work 100% out of the box, I phoned them and they sent another one out for me! Complete opposite to Brother, I'll never buy another Brother. Cheap
