Only buy a brother printer if you have lots of money to purchase ink – I have owned this brother printing machine for approximately 2 years I have found that it works okay it does the job. The only problem is it uses approximately 10% of each ink cartridge to do a self clean. Does a self clean every month. It will also do it if you turn a power off to the machine and back on again. It also does it when you install new ink cartridges. If you purchase for new cartridges and fit them to the machine but do not use the machine for printing for 12 months the cartridges will self empty. If you buy 4 cartridges it is approximately $160 depending on where you can buy them. You can purchase refilled cartridges which cost less. But if you ring brother service Centre about a problem the 1st question they ask is do you use genuine Brother products in your printer. If your answer is no normally they won't deal with you any more. My advice would be to research the market and purchased a printer that does not do self cleaning unnecessarily. It does everything has a cordless phone will print scan fax copy also has a document feeder The uses ink to clean itself which is very expensive even if you are not using the printer it will go through the ink.

Dud multi-function centre – Bought one in May 2012 melt down on main circuit board,Brother wernt going to fix under warranty until I complained, replaced with new multi-function centre in October 2012 another melt down have had the main circuit board replaced again. Warranty agent told me these multi-function centres are no good. They work ok when they are going but have not had it for a total of 6 weeks in this time which makes it hard to run a home business. Easy to use Breaks down
