Sturdy, compact, versitile pushchair which just keeps going. Excellent value for money – Love it, love it, love it. Best pram I've used - we've had 6 different ones. I had a red gecko for my daughter from birth until 2 years and loved it until our next baby came along and I got a Phil and Ted's explorer (inferior quality). I bought my gecko second hand on ebay, and got all my money back when I sold it. I used it pretty well every day for 2 years through sand, dirt, mud and snow, and yet it still hardly looked used after a good wash with soap and water. The aluminium frame makes it soooo light, and the front wheels move nicely, making it turn on a dime. Really easy to manoeuvre in shops and tight places. The maxi cosi car seats fits in really nicely with the bugaboo adapters, and the seat, carrycot or carseat can face either forwards or backwards, plus you can change the way the handlebar faces so that you can always be face to face with your baby. The big back wheels make getting up or down stairs much easier than a stroller with small wheels. I pushed mine around everywhere for 2 years and never had a puncture even though the tyres are air filled.

Everything about the Gecko is just sturdy. The brake works well, the fabric is good quality, the hood is securely attached. It all fits together well and is just as a stroller should be. The raincover fits on tightly and is nice to use. Second hand parts and accessories are easy to buy on ebay, so if you want to change something you can, though because the bugaboo quality is so good you probably won't need to. The gecko handlebar height is not adjustible, but the standard height was fine for me and everyone else who pushed my daughter around. Because it's not adjustible, it's just one less thing that could possibly break.

After I sold it I was so sad! I'm planning to replace my Phil and Teds with another bugaboo + kid sit board for my toddler so I can push the kids around in bugaboo ease. I think I will go for a second hand 2nd generation cameleon this time, just because it was quite a while ago now since the gecko was made and I'm not confident I can find a good used one, I would like the extra head room the cameleon offers and the front wheel suspension.

If you can find a good gecko, go for it. It's worth every cent. Excellent quality, light, does everything a stroller should from birth until at least 2 years. Seat not very big, but fine up until 2 years.

Excellent – I love my Gecko and so does my son! After having 3 different pushchairs we finally found the one where he is falling asleep in. He looks sooo comfortable. For mum, it's very easy to handle/steer, it's small and compact, it can face you which is great for bonding and the most upright position and reversible handle allows to use it as a highchair when out and about. I decided for the Gecko over the Cameleon for 2 reasons: it's lighter (we traveled with it around the world) and it's slightly smaller (great for tight supermarket exits). We didn't need the adjustable handle the Cam offers (I am 5"2 and husband is 6"3, no probs) or the front wheel suspension. The Gecko truly ticks all our boxes and I can recommend it to everyone!!! PS: Just a tip: I got all the Cam accessories, seat covers fit the Gecko just as well and I got spare hood clamps/rods for the Cam so I can change the hood colors of the Gecko (though they fit anyway but are a little loose);) Hope this helps..... lightweight, easy to steer, looks great, large shopping basket, reversible handle, parent facing nothing, I love it

Excellent – The best pram I have ever used (such as Quinny, Maxi Taxi...) We are in fact happy that we chose the Gecko instead of the Cameleon, because we like the design and the deepred colour! Very easy to use. We liked the design better than the Cameleon's. The canvas of the Gecko is much better than the fleece (Cameleon). It's waterproof and the colour doesn't fade. My daughters love this pram (en their mum too). nothing really.

Bad – If your going to pay that much money for a pram spend a little extra and go the chameleon, for the price of it its not worth the money Its nice looking & stylish Its flimsy, cheaply made, the wheels have issues, its a pain to recline.
