Canon EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS

Excellent lens with good range – I bought this with my canon eos 550d premium kit. It is the only lens I use and it meets my day to day photo needs. I dont like swapping lens as I'm paranoid of getting dust into the camera body. This lens saved me from that concern as it takes great pictures and it has good range. Good range therefore no need to swap lens. Great photos. Image stabiliser drastically reduce blur due to camera shake. Need to hold the lens when taking a photo downwards as gravity pulls down the lens making it zoom in.

Perfect for our trip – After having two of my 3 old EOS lenses destroyed in an accident overseas, I bought this one and couldn't be more thrilled with it. It replaced my old wide angle and my old telephoto/zoom EOS lenses and with the added bonus of not having to change lenses between shots, it meant a lot more ease of use and less chance of dust contamination to the interior of the camera. Actually paid more for it in the US than advertised here....now that is rare! No fuss, all purpose lens Couldn't fault it!

Brilliant value and service – Bought Canon zoom for Canon 400D camera - several years old. Accepting that it is not the highest quality lens on offer, it is great value for money when purchased from Camera Direct in Australia. Lens is robust, image stabilised and of very good clarity under all conditions. Focusing is fast and accurate under most conditions. Camera Direct sold it for $637 while Harvey Norman were asking $1088. Bought from Queensland Thursday lunchtime, in Perth 2pm Friday. People at the seller obviously understood photography and offered an Australian warranty. Delighted with the results on grandchildren and other events such as air shows and travel. Quality, performance, robustness.
