Canon F-717SGA (better button labels than Casio) – After buying numerous Casio FX scientific calculators for high school students, we noticed that the numbers and function labels on the buttons were flaking off. We tried liquid paper and pen to avoid the cost of replacing buttons and tried to find options for replacing the button caps. We eventually gave up and bought inferior Ti calculators until we discovered the Canon F-717SGA.

It has a solar panel (bonus) and the button labels have been more resilient than the Casio so far.

We haven't lost any button labels on Canon yet, but our experience with Casio has taught us to be more careful.

Very Happy! – I needed a scientific calc and there are so many at the shops. My teacher recommended the new Canon F717SGA calculator, but i couldn't find it at the shops. My teacher said this was the best for high school and later at university if i wanted to study further. He said it had a large and the clearest screen from any calculator he has seen, plus it has larger buttons and very firm buttons - which most don't. Its also made from recycled materials and is solar and battery powered which saves money from replacing batteries.
