Pros: I absolutely love this camera. After owning several digital cameras over the years (Olympus etc), this has by far been the best for many reasons. The best thing I think is that the battery seems to last forever which is so important for me. I have taken this camera on several long travelling stints where I am shooting stuff all day, and I reckon you still only need to charge it every second day. The charger is fast too, only about an hour to have it fully charged which is great when travelling! All functions of the camera work brilliantly (from the automatic "sunset" type functions, to the manual settings) and the menus are very easy to navigate around. The Macro function in particular works extremely well on close up shots, and captures brilliant detail. The screen is huge and bright and the design of the camera is very compact and stylish. This is also the toughest camera I have ever owned, ive unfortunately dropped it hard a few times, and dragged it around the world in backpacks twice and its still going strong. I also have friends that won Canon IXUS models and they all say the same, it seems these models just keep getting better and better!!
Cons: Nothing important I can think of! The only thing I havent really successfully captured is fireworks despite trying a few settings.
Overall: Overall, I will never buy another brand of camera. The Canon ixus has outlasted any others I have had in the past and by far exceeds the others in quality of shots, battery life, price and durability. Highly recommended!!

Pros: big screen. really easy to use. excellent quality pictures, rotating screen makes viewing the photos really easy
Cons: cant seem to get colour of sunsets to come through no matter what setting i use..
Overall: excellent camera. bought it before going on holidays. it is very easy to use with well set up menus. really like the big screen. transferring the files onto the computer has been very easy. been very impressed with the picture quality, especially given that i take most photos using the automatic function. the only thing i dont like is no matter what setting i use i cant seem to get colour of sunsets come out in the photos, but i might be doing something wrong there. its very quick to go back to photo screen after taking a photo, which makes it great for snap happy people like me. was pleasently surprised with the quality of video it takes, we didnt buy it for this function but have ended up using it many times. money well spent.

Pros: * Size
* picture quality
* price
* ease of use.. especially in the hands of a 6 year old!
* screen size is brilliant
* images automatically rotate to fill the screen in play back.. very cool
Cons: low light... sometimes poor image quality if a lot of black in the frame.. looks like rain / smudges on the images.. yet the lens is clean..
Overall: Love this camera and would definitely buy it again..The only issue would be the low light limits. I bought it for holidays and it performed brilliantly. I hardly ever use it in low light now that I'm home, so it's not an issue..
Image transfer is easy.
Menus are easy to navigate and remember
Images / icons for file titles is great for kids
Pre determined settings like - night, day, kids and pets etc. are brilliant.

In fact 99% of the time I have the camera set to kids / pets.. it's then perfect for capturing movement... like kids in mid air on a trampoline, or up high on a swing.

Pros: Fantastic pictures. Bought for the birth of my grandson and I couldnt be happier. I have never owned a digital this good.
Cons: There is absolutely nothing I can fault with this camera.
Overall: I have never been so happy with a camera as I have been with this one. I would recommend this to any one wanting to buy a fool proof camera. There is no need for an instruction book. The screen is so large and the quality, even at night is just fantastic. This is a must buy for any ametuer photographer. You can't go past this camera.

Pros: IT's relatively small and easy to use. Takes fantastic shots. Has a manual mode which is all I use as I can determine what settings I want. However my wife uses the automatic mode which still produces very good pictures. 10 Megapixels which gives you excellent printing options if you manage to take that one in a million shot. Excellent price when bought over the internet. Video footage is great too. 3 inch screen displays images very well.
Cons: Hard to fault. There are slightly smaller cameras on the market. It is also reasonably weighty
Overall: Fantastic camera. Takes great shots and allows a very good amount of flexability. I have a digital SLR which I use as much as I can becasue it affords me more manual shooting options giving me control over the shot but this little camera is the next step down all in a very conveniently sized package which fits nicely in my pocket. I'm no video expert and this unit couldn't compare to a good camcorder but this does all I need which is capture those moments that I'll treasure in the future. The camera is heavier than I expected but not to a point that I'm dissapointed with it. I don't regret this purchase and I like to think of myself as someone who can take a decent shot.

Pros: Very small. Very easy to use. Actually, it is almost idiot proof. Nice big, bright LCD screen. Takes good pictures in bright light, or when the flash is on and the subject is not too far away. The antishake feature is most impressive. Bye-bye tripod!
Cons: Very noisy in low light, like most other pocket digital cameras. Movie mode quality is worse than DVD, never mind HD, so don't forget to carry the handycam! White balance is hard to adjust. Only 3x optical zoom. Virtually no depth of focus due to the tiny CCD.
Overall: Purchased this camera from David Jones at the post-Christmas sale. I have been toying with it since. This is one amazing camera. In good light it is almost as good as a 10MP digital SLR, plus it fits comfortably in the pocket! Feels quite solid (not yet dropped it though). To minimise noise, avoid anything above ISO 200. The antishake lens makes slow shutter speeds usable even without a tripod.
