Pros: For an entry level camcorder the Canon MV960 has some extras that other brands of camera don't include such as real widescreen recording, 25x optical zoom and in camera converting of analog video. Video captured in daylight is very good and sound is good with only a little camera motor noise. I particularly chose this camera because of its small size together with the above features, combined with it being a Mini DV type camcorder.
Cons: Low light video suffers from excess noise and the front mounted video light does not seem to help much. Because of its small size it seems to need a very steady hand in order to avoid the "shakes" in your video.
Overall: Because of its size, price and extra features I consider the MV960 to be a good choice for an entry level camera.
