Terrible – I've had this printer for over a year now and it's been nothing but trouble. Never have I been able to turn it on, press print and get my document. It is so prone to not working and I've now decided to throw it over a cliff and never buy a canon again. It has rarely just started up and printed the document as requested. Takes so long to get going, takes so long to think about printing, takes so long to decide there's a problem. It has never worked properly for me and I do not use it much as it is.

Great machine, reliable and efficient – We bought this to use at a conference then took it home. It coped with large volumes of printing and scanning without problem. I love the quality of the print jobs and it copes with different paper weight quite well. It's very convenient being able to print straight from a USB or portable drive as well and the wifi connectivity is great. Mine is at the front of the house and printing wirelessly from the laptop in the backyard is great.

The only small issue is that I don't particularly like the software interface when scanning documents back to PC but it's not a really big issue.

Like all printer manufacturers, they make their money on toner but I've noticed that the cartridges seem to last me quite a while but I don't print a lot. Best to print in black when colour isn't necessary (obviously).

I would highly recommend this. It's a solid and reliable printer. Quick, easy to operate

Alright for us – This printer was cheap for us. I really love its outside look bit it's a bit prone to dust. The whole things fairly small, so it's good for fitting into a home area. When you turn it on the screen is nice, bright and easy to read and the buttons are nice to navigate. I love the fact that this can work either with the computer or as it's own machine.

I hate the cartridge costs though, which has lead to use getting a new printer every-time the last one gets empty as it's cheaper!

The options are endless with the MG5150 and you can do so many things: some of which are almost superfluous: Like photo collages.

On the more negative side the MG5150 can be a drag when it comes to printing from the computer, especially if you just want to print from the rear tray! Every single time you have to open your printer settings and change it. There really needs to be a "Remember This" Button in the settings.

All in all this is a fairly mediocre printer experience and a bit to fiddly for my taste, however when it comes down to it: It does what it needs to. cheap, looks good, bright screen, easy buttons Settings for paper selection

This is the best printer I have owned – I am so pleased with the quality of the photo prints produced by this printer. The colour and crispness are amazing!!!!!!! I like the way it does double-sided printing. I like being able to squeeze every last bit of ink from the cartridge by adjusting the print properties. I like the little pop-up screen. It's clear and easy to read. Simple to use: excellent results
