Good – good for casual every day use for non professionals. selections of mode if you want to experiment. model is a bit outdated compact and sturdy, easy to use small viewing screen, a bit bulky as pocket cameras are slim nowadays

Excellent – Good camera, heavy duty will stand the hardest of knocks, I have had mine for 5 years and it always returns a good Pic. This is my second power shot lost the first one in Howlong NSW when I was traveling Aus. Easy to use, just aim and shoot. Fairly compact and it has a view finder, later cameras are useless in bright sunshine and with this camera… Read more

using the view finder allows you to see what you are taking on a bright sunny day. Bit on the heavy side and AA batteries are a pain, but I use AA rechargeables and always carry a spare set so I very seldom run out of power.

Excellent – This camera has always worked well for us. iT takes great photos and is easy to use. We figure out how to load them on the computer and they come out verey well. Sometyimes we take them to the photo ship and get them printed there. The zoom lens is effective. The kids love the movie recording. An excellent camera. We have had ours for five years. I have had no problems with the Canon A75.

Good – This was the first digital camera i ever owned and it went aroudn the world twice with me. It was dropped coutless times, always kept going even if the shape was knocked out a little. the batteries (count them, all 4) lastest for a good while, i used rechargable Li-Ion that would get aroudn 400 shots, just amazing i thought. photo quality was… Read more

good for the time and the money, not sure how well it goes by todays standards. The money for them is less now though, so i think your compensated.

its heavy and bulky - the trade off for a sturdy long lasting camera. so decide what you want! batteries (all 4 of them) last for AGES.

quality of image for the price is quite good.

pretty tough unit - can be dropped alot of comes out kicking still.

value for money heavy

heavy

heavy!

BIG

can't zoom and there is fixed iris on video - so change of light can't be accomodated

Good – This is a great, general purpose camera, producing photos of high enough quality to be used for scenic shots, but not so high that larger, more expensive memory cards are required. The use of four AA batteries, instead of the increasingly popular AAAs or custom batteries actually improves the usability of this camera. With high-capacity AA… Read more

batteries being by far the cheapest and most easily obtained batteries on the market, both obtaining enough batteries for a long trip away from a recharger, and replacing lost batteries is within a lower price range than for other battery types.

Unfortunately, these batteries do make the Powershot A75 larger than many competing cameras, but this does make a more comfortable hand-grip for the camera.

In all, a good mid-range family camera. A good, relatively robust digital camera. Reasonably large minimum focal length.

Good – We bought our camera three years ago and it has worked perfect, taking thousands of clear photos. It takes four batteries, so i recommend rechargables. When on holidays we took over 400 photos without changing batteries. There is also a 4 megapixel version, the A85 which works great too. One thing i love about this camera is the ease that my 5… Read more

year old was able to use it and take clear photos. With room for plenty more memory, this is a very good camera. Reliable, batteries last longer than previous models. Clear, bright photos Feels a bit bulky for a digital. Needs four batteries.

OK – I bought this camera when I got my SLR so that I had a small camera with manual functions that I could take everywhere with me. However I soon found that it was poor when trying to use the manual functions, the manual functions were not user friendly at all. I also find the camera will only take a photo when it feels the need, not when I want it… Read more

to. This can be very annoying. On the bright side though it is small and compact. (Not that this matters when it won't take a photo!) Nice cheap camera, small, compact, uses compact flash cards (same as SLR), light Too hard to use. Not user friendly.

Good – The A75 is a great camera it looks and feels like a camera should, the size of the screen is good,i've used one now for over 12 months and have yet to find fault with it. Ease of use, takes AA batteries which is a big plus, batteries last a long time, good quality pictures.

Good – All in all, a very good unit. Lots of useful features with total control. As stated, the use of AA batteries makes it a great camera for the outback, holidays etc. You're not tied into buying a very expensive replacement. Extra lenses are available for wide & telephoto shots. I recommend this terrific little camera. The ability to take full auto.… Read more

thru to full manual shots, is one of Canon's great features in this camera. The CF cards are cheap to buy, with a good range of capacities. It uses 4 x AA batteries which, in a pinch, you can pick up anywhere, should your Ni-Mh's go flat at that important time. I've only found one so far. It's a bit suss on auto. close-up focus.

Good – Overall Excellent Camera - I can thoroughly recommend it for casual everyday use as well as for commercial uses - i use mine for my ebay listings - its a beaut!!! Highly configurable, yet very simple and easy to use! Lots of setting, takes great photos, great price, very good after-sales service from canon. Quite compact. auto-focus lacks sharpness at close range. Solved excellently by simple adappter and close-up lens.
