Celestron AstroMaster Series

Great for the amateur astronomer in all of us – A great little telescope for the budding astronomer. Powerful enough to see the rings of Saturn and the lines of Jupiter and the large moons around them. Very simple to use, and collapses down for easy storage. Would recommend this to anyone new to Astronomy, wanting to have a gaze into the night sky or for young kids wanting to get into astronomy. Great starter unit for the price. Azimuth mount is a little clunky and wobbly when tightened making it difficult to lock onto objects.
Astromaster 70 – I bought this product from National Geographic for a resonable price and so far ive not been dissapointed. When it comes to looking at the moon this is fantastic ; you can see craters and shadows in stunning detail. When it comes to looking at planets it is OK.For instance when looking at Saturn you can only just make out a small line. This is due to the size of the magnification.Even through the telescope a planets size could be compared to that of a star.Overall this telescope is great for the amatuer astronomer.
