Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser

I'm a bloke. Just want to feel like whatever I'm using does the job. Was using SebaMed which I found suited but having supply issues. Wifey got Cetaphil. My thoughts: it's a most unsatisfying wash experience ever. No lather, feels like I washed with pan droppings. Skin doesn't feel clean. Going to have to agree with these negative reviews . The Cetaphil gentle skin gel feels unusual on the skin plus won't lather Up properly when placing water on hands. Only lathers Up without water so after lathering Up the tap water can get rid Of the gel Show details

developed a lot of broken veins from the flushing, also continually streaming eyes and eczema on my right hand. I started to take a daily anti-histamine which helped. A private dermatologist confirmed rosacea and recommended laser for the broken veins. My skin became more and more sensitised as I searched desperately for something to help. I became depressed. A few days ago I noticed that my skin seemed red and sore after using my cetaphil cleanser and yesterday the penny dropped! The cleanser was causing is the issue. At first I thought I must have a fake version but I did some research and learned the formula was now completely different with a lot of ingredients that can be harsh for some skins, particularly niacinamide which. I know I am sensitive too. The old formula of Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser was the only cleanser that didn't make muslin a bit pink after using and now it had changed it will be difficult to find something else. I have spent a fortune trying to track down the cause of the rosacea, I hope it will improve now I have stopped using the cleanser but I m left with these permanent broken veins over cheeks, nose and around my eyes.

All jokes aside.. for 2+ deades I've been using this cleanser because it was the best (emphasis on "was"). A few times I've strayed, but always came back to it. Today, our journey together has come to an end as the product has completely changed it's ingredients with no warning. Essentially it's a completely different product under the same name. If I had known about the change I wouldn't have bought it - whatever happened to transparency? Sheesh. But you know, fool me once yada yada. Goodbye formerly gentle cleanser and thanks for the great memories.

And I want my fourteen bucks back!

terrible!!! It burns and irritates my skin now and it has such a foul smell. It smells almost like vomit or piss and like really strong chemicals. i’ve got sensitive skin so it took years for me to finally find a cleanser that suited my skin and this WAS perfect for it :(

Smells like dust and the pump is hopeless – Bought this to try as a comparison to another brand I have been using. It says refreshing smell, but I'm not sure if Cetaphil knows what refreshing is because all I can smell is dust. Also feels like a burning sensation after using. Doesn't cleanse – I've just thrown out an entire 1.25ltr pump pack of this as it doesn't work. It wants to be a cleanser and moisturiser in one and so it fails as you can't strip impurities and hydrate at the same time. Too mild for humid hot weather, causes breakout and clog pores – This should be OK in dry and clean climate but NOT in Malaysia, it does a half-baked job of cleaning your skin and pushes dirt deeper. After a week you'll start getting clogged and infected pores. Show details

I'm allergic to new ingredient; sounds like others are too – I bought Cetaphil (20 oz bottle) in U.S. off Amazon website on 3/22/23 . Note: I think glycerin is a cheaper ingredient and maybe that's why company is using it now. Why does Cetaphil take a popular product and has to ruin it. I'm returning my order. Have to. New formula is unusable. Google about glycerin and burning/redness reaction. Also, it dries the skin. I noticed that too.

This is a horrible product and I’m worried about the damage caused to my face!!!! My face got bright red, burning feeling (the same feeling as when I had a very intense chemical peel in the past!) and also mild swelling. I made a report to Cetaphil. So upset stay away from this scary product
