Warning to people sensitive to chemical fragrances (parfum) – This product is heavily perfumed, and caused an extreme adverse reaction to skin that is sensitive to chemical fragrances. I have always purchased Cetaphil because ‘Cetaphil is highly used and known for its line of scent-free lotion and moisturizers. It is oil-free and historically has been known to be safe for most types of skin because of its… Read more

simplicity and non-harsh chemical build up, even though the use of parabens remains controversial.’ I was horrified by the immediate adverse reaction to this product. After decades of relying on Cetaphil, I am massively disappointed. Those sensitive to ‘parfum’, be warned.

This product is perfect for oily skin. Gently cleanse your skin., – Cetaphil products are mild. They are meant to be so. If someone wants them to be strong enf to remove makeup then go for other brands or use micellar water before cleanser. After makeup two step cleansing is a must. I was never a fan of them until i realised that how gentle they are on skin. You dont feel oily, you dont feel dry u just feel… Read more

this is a fantastic cleanser! – This cleanser is super helpful in keeping my skin clean & soft. I have combination skin and I didn't have any issues with this. The formula is gentle and lathers just as good as possible. No acne at all! Show details

I have been using this product for years! – I have been using cetaphil for most of my adult life. Having oily skin which is prone to breakouts I highly recommend this product. I use it Day and night in the shower and have found it very effective in removing surface oil and dirt without leaving your skin feeling dry. It’s non-comedogenic (which means it won’t block your pores) and helps to… Read more

prevent to pimples and blackheads. It doesn’t help with skin pigmentation caused by the sun hence why I have scored it a 4 out 5 stars.

After years of use I only just realised how useless this is, don't waste your money – I have had troublesome skin for years and my dermatologist has always recommended cetaphil Cleanser. I used it tonight spending a well good time lathering and rubbing and rinsing. I hopped out of shower and noticed how it barely removed my light makeup. I reached for my miceller water, (have only been using it for a month) and voila all and… Read more

every scrap of makeup came off.

Please stop wasting your money on this product, it does sod all. I have also noticed how greedy this company has become as their prices have increased since all those years ago.

I feel duped I can't believe I feel for the hype and never seemed to twig that the product was actually rubbish. Goes to show I was desperate to believe everything the experts said.

I use African black soap sometimes and that is more effective, cheaper too.

Perfect for oily skin – This cleanser is too good for people who have oily or acne prone skin including myself. So after using so many cleansers and getting disappointed by them I finally tried this one and it was a huge hit for me. My acne were slowly gone and got a clear skin.also you dont have to use too much little bit of cleanser works well. Its almost fragrance free and doesnot leaves your skin very dry. So I would definitely recommend this product.

The worst – My skin was only mildly oily when I started this, with maybe the odd pimple. After I started using this my skin became extremely oily and constant cystic acne until I stopped the product. Ughh if I could rate this 0 stars I would.

Left my skin dry as the dessert – I have combination skin and oh lord did it dry me out. It also stung heaps when I tried to put on moisturizer. Would only use for super oily skin and even then only once a day.

Excellent! – I started using the Cetaphil oily skin cleaner about a week or two ago, and I have seen instant results! I'm very happy with my purchase and definitely going to purchase again.

Drying my skin so BAD ; ( – Its been less than 5 days using it but my skin is flaking up and it feels so tight. I think I will just stop using altogether than just looking like a dry fish. I was hoping its going to aid my skin but hey I was wrong. Im highly disappointed

Terrible – This cleanser was terrible, after the second time using it, my skin has tried up, has terrible dry flakes around my mouth, chin and sides of nose. It made me break out a lot. I have oily, acne prone skin and this did not help at all. Will probably try the gentle skin cleanser as i am just looking for a simple cleanser to wash the makeup off that day and clean my skin.

Not a fan!! – I didn't like it at all! It left my face feeling really oily! I'm not a big fan of Cetaphil because of the ingredients they put inside, but I don't recommend this product of you have really oily skin!

Doesn't get rid of acne – I know people rave about this product so much, so I bought this and used this for a while and really wanted it to work for me. Honestly, it did not help clear up pimples or acne at all. I don't even think it overly controlled the oiliness. Oh well, I guess if you don't have pimples then this product would be fine for you, because it's supposed to be gentle and allergy-free. Doesn't help acne or pimples

Don't wast your money – I have oily acne prone skin and I found this product useless, I had both my dermatologist and doctor recommend this but it did nothing for me, however I have a friend who uses this and she loves it so I guess if you had very mild basically normal skin it could work but for me it didn't. I also really hate their moisturizer I find it just Doesn't dry and makes me feel even more oily, it feels like body butter on my face

The best – I have used so many different skin cleansers and this is the best thing for me skin. It has never felt so soft, smooth and decongested. I seriously know what I'd do without it. I have told so many people about it because I have been so happy with it. Love it. Great results!

Made my skin worse – I used Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser for two years. The first 3 months it helped but didn't clear up my skin. After the two years if anything it made my skin worse. I am now using a brad called Azclear. I have only used it for three weeks and alrealy i can notise a difference. Cataphill left my skin very dry even the moisturiser left my skin dry.… Read more

The Best! – People always comment on my skin and when I tell them I use this cleanser morning & night they are surprised. Skin care does NOT need to be expensive. I've had great results with this and it lasts for ages. Very happy with this product and even for mature skins, its fantastic. Inexpensive and fabulous

Pretty Good – I found that this cleanser was really helpful to my skin. The first day i used it, my face felt less oily and much smoother. I don't recommend, though, using the cleanser by itself. To get results you have to use the cleanser first, then 2.5 Benzac AC cream and last but not least Trilogy moisturising face cream. After using these products with the… Read more

Excellent – I only purchased the product yesterday but only after one application I have found it has worked really well. Oily Skin – I have used the gentle cleanser in the past and have experienced a recent increase in oilyness, I decided to move onto the oily skin cleanser I have to give a negative review of this product, I found that after two days I broke out in a rash all over my face and had terrible break outs on my chin and forehead. This is terrible – When I first started using this product my face was clear and was only oily on my chin. I don't reccomend this product if you don't have mild to severe acne but if you have… Read more

light blemishes use the cetaphil daily gentle cleanser or spectro jel. Also cetaphil is supposed to be "gentle" yet when i use it it stings my face a little. Also it has fragrance which could lead to irratation. Use Spectro gel it's awesome! Big bottle, cheap, smells good, takes of makeup Not gentle enough, not fragrance free, makes skin more oily over time

Excellent – Cetaphil makes very gentle skin care products, and this oily skin cleanser is great for gentle cleansing while still clearing away dirt and oil. The smell is very strong, even though it's perfume free. It's cheaper than normal cleanser and works better. It also won't dry out skin and leave it tight or flaky, which is what a lot of cleanser for dry… Read more

skin do. Much cheaper than other cleansers, without perfume or soap. It doesn't leave skin dry, unlike many cleanser made for oily skin. Great for people with sensitive, acne skin. I don't like the smell, it's very strong.

OK – This does not suit my skin type. I bought it to control my acne, but found that although it cleans my skin really well, it leaves it feeling very dry and stripped. However, my brother loves this for his skin. It just doesn't suit my skin type. Great for oily and acne prone skin, makes your skin very clean. Stings eyes a little bit, makes my skin very dry after use.

Excellent – would recommend to anyone with problem skin. if you have good skin use the normal cetaphil cleanser, and in most cases you will not need to use a moisturiser as well. price, and it DOES work. i am someone that has suffered acne, even into my 30's and have very red skin. i have paid a fortune on products that do not work or if they do they are no better than cetaphil and cost about 8 times the amount

Good – I brought this a couple months ago, and overall it works well as a cleasner. I usually remove all my makeup before I use this cleanser, as it doesn't seem to really remove makeup. Good – I bought this cleanser after reading reviews on this website, i loved it and it helped my skin stay oil free most of the day and helped dry out blemishes without being dry or tight. Excellent – I purchased this product for my teenage son to use in the shower as he kept using my special cleansers. I gave it a go and found it better than mine! Excellent – I think Cetaphil is what changed my life in terms of skin care products. My skin has always been acne prone and i get really oily tzone. economical. A one litre bottle for about $23 lasts me around 6 months, and that's using it twice a day. It is a little drying compared to the standard Cetaphil and has a stronger smell as well.

Excellent – I do not actually have oily skin, just slight combination so I thought I would just give this a shot anyway, and it's absolutely wonderful! I love how it doesn't foam. Excellent – I was recommended Cetaphil during my teenage years when I started developing really bad acne problems. (when used as per instructions). There is virtually no fragrance at all to Cetaphil. When I first started using it, I kept getting reminded of being in a clinic, as it has that clinical scent.
